Chapter1
In my past life, the day we submitted our college applications.
The manipulative poor student ,Mari bewitched my two childhood sweetheart.
So they instantly vowed to abandon their top-tier university acceptances to follow her to some no-name community college.
I panicked and tried to talk sense into them.
They wouldn't listen to me at all. I had no choice but to tell their parents what was going on.
The two families rushed over overnight. They forced their sons applications back on track.
But no one expected that just a few months after the new semester started, Mari tried to commit suicide by slitting her wrists.
Blaise and Kieran didn't blame her for being mentally fragile.
They put all the blame on me.
They tricked me into going up the mountain and then shoved me brutally off the cliff.
"You murderer! Go down to the underworld and atone for her death!"
I fell hundreds of meters down the cliff and was crushed to pieces.
By some miracle, I was reborn back to the day I submitted my college application.
This time, I will save no one. Let them ruin their own lives.
"Sera? Sera, why are you spacing out?"
A sickeningly sweet, fragile voice waked me up .
I violently snapped back to reality, gasping for air. I couldn't believe I'd survived.
Looking at the three familiar people in school uniforms before me, I realized in an instant that I had been reborn.
I was reborn at the most crucial turning point of my fate.
"Sera, please, you have to help me talk some sense into Blaise and Kieran." Mari pleaded.
She was sitting at the computer next to me. Her eyes were rimmed red. "My grades are awful," she sobbed. "I can only get into a community college. But Blaise and Kieran did so brilliantly . Now they're saying they want to drop their Stanford applications to come with me... How can I hold them back like this?"
And she said, "But... but without them, if I have to go to that unfamiliar campus all by myself... I’m so scared. I definitely won't be able to survive..."
Her helpless, endearing look aroused men's strongest desire to protect her.
I stared at her and really admired how she had these two fools wrapped around her finger.
In my past life, I tried my best to talk them out of it for their sake, and even called their parents to stop them.
Yet these two ungrateful wretches ended up killing me. I was such a fool back then.
At taht time, Blaise’s immediately hugged Mari and said, "A degree is just a piece of paper. To us, staying by your side matters most. We'll transfer to your school."
Kieran nodded, smoothly backing him up. "Exactly. What’s so great about Stanford anyway? Without you, eveything is completely meaningless. "
Seeing them throw everything away for love, I could barely hold back my laughter.
I planned to grant them their grand love, trapping the three in each other's destinies for all time.
I couldn't help wondering what fate awaited the three of them in the end.
Noticing my total silence, Mari bit her lower lip. She suddenly reached out and grabbed my hand.
"Sera!" she exclaimed, her eyes widening with a hopeful gleam. "Why don't you apply to community college with us too? Your grades are so good, you'll succeed no matter where you study! I really, really don't want us to separate. Okay?"
I stared at her fingers digging into my skin and coldly ripped my arm out of her grasp.
You’re letting yourselves go to the dogs, but don’t drag me into this.
My future is brilliant, and I’m not wasting myself on a community college.
I looked at the screen, my face entirely devoid of emotion. "How you guys choose to submit your applications is your own freedom," I said flatly. "I have no responsibility, and no obligation, to interfere."
The words hung in the air.
All three of them froze, staring at me in shock.
They were so used to me constantly trailing behind them to clean up their messes. They clearly never expected me to be so brutally cold.
"However," I continued, "my life plan does not include a community college.Wish you a happy college life."
I grabbed my backpack and stood up.
"Submitting college apps is a major decision," I said, sliding my chair under the desk. "I need to go home and discuss my final choices with my parents."
The moment I turned toward the door, Blaise and Kieran’s faces darkened.
They moved simultaneously, blocking the narrow aisle left and right.
Blaise’s tall frame acted like a brick wall. He glared down at me from above, his eyes swirling with disappointment.
"When did you become so goddamn selfish, Sera?" Blaise sneered. " Mari is always so sweet to you. Now she’s just asking you to make one small sacrifice to honor our friendship, and you’re actually going to use your parents as a shield?"
Kieran stepped in, leaned over and firmly pressed his hand down on my desk, effectively trapping me.
"Look at her. Mari is crying because of you. How old are you, Sera? Why do you need to run to mommy and daddy about everything?" Kieran looked at me.
"I know you hate to part with us. So we'll make the decision for you !"
