The wedding went smoothly.

When the priest pronounced us husband and wife, applause thundered through the hall. I kissed Liliya, but my eyes couldn't help drifting toward the second-floor monitoring room.

I expected Eve to burst out, stop everything. Or at least cry in some corner...
