I didn't know what I'd said wrong, but just as the closed shell around Percy had shown the slightest crack, it suddenly became impenetrably hard again.

His expression turned abruptly cold, even bordering on indifferent. "Katie, you've crossed a line."

Percy walked away without mercy.
