Chapter 4 Chapter 4: Leaving Without a Word

The driver glanced at Selena through the rearview mirror, wondering how the young master had come to know such a stunning woman. Her outfit was far too provocative. She must be planning to take advantage of him. No, he’d have to report this to the lady of the house.

The car rolled forward, and soon they arrived at Keith’s apartment. To make his studies more convenient, his family had rented an entire apartment for him.

Keith led Selena inside. After pouring her a glass of warm water, he said:

“You can stay at my place tonight. It’s too late to go house hunting. What if you run into a pervert? Tomorrow I’ll help you find a place."

Selena glanced at the young man bustling about for her sake, a slight smirk tugging at her lips. She asked:

“Where will I sleep?"

“You can have my room, I’ll sleep on the couch."

Without a word, Selena headed straight for his room and shut the door. Keith ordered a few dishes for the two of them and glanced toward the closed door.

He imagined Selena must be resting on the bed. Worried she might be hungry, he got up and quietly opened the door.

“Come out and eat something before you…"

The words froze in his throat as he stood in the doorway, utterly stunned. Selena had just slipped out of her tight dress, her back facing him. The perfect butterfly tattoo on her shoulder blade, her flawless white skin, the tiny waist, and those long legs were all on full display.

At that moment, aside from a small triangle of fabric, nothing was left to conceal her breathtakingly perfect body.

Selena turned her head, her face calm as she looked at Keith and asked:

“Are you planning to stand there until I turn around so you can get a front view?”

“N... no no no...”

Keith hastily slammed the door shut, the springtime scene he had just witnessed still vividly playing in his mind. He swallowed hard, trying to calm himself.

This wasn’t the first time he had seen a woman’s body, he’d even dabbled in adult experiences before. But he had never been as overwhelmed by anyone's bare back as he was now.

The woman in the room was too beautiful, so stunning it seemed inhuman, making him want to both conquer and worship her. This was his goddess, the one he had fallen in love with at first sight.

Not long after, Selena opened the door. She was wearing a long bathrobe, appearing as if she had just finished bathing.

Keith lowered his head, not daring to look at her directly. He pointed at the table of food and said:

“I ordered some food for you. Eat, then rest.”

Selena picked up the chopsticks and began to eat. She ate heartily, a habit that hadn’t changed since she got married or even after being sent to heaven. Having frequently gone hungry as a child, she had a deep fixation on food, trying to eat as much as possible to stay full longer. This habit also made it hard for her to control her weight.

As she ate, Selena sighed in relief. Fortunately, since returning to the human world, she had learned some basic magic to control her food intake. Otherwise, despite being blessed with a beautiful figure by Rabanut, she would soon turn into an unattractive auntie.

Watching Selena eat, Keith was stunned. Nowadays, most girls ate very little to maintain their figures, so he had deliberately ordered a few dishes with plenty of vegetables and less protein, thinking she would nibble a bit and stop. But instead, she devoured everything, as if she were truly starving.

Keith sighed. What kind of terrible hardship had this girl gone through to be so ravenous?

When Selena finished eating, Keith considerately handed her a glass of water. She reached out, took the glass, and said:

“Thank you. Now, can I go to sleep?”

Keith hurriedly grabbed her hand, advising:

“You’ve eaten too much. Don’t sleep right away.”

Selena set down the glass and leaned over him. At that moment, the hem of her long robe hung loose, revealing glimpses of her curvaceous form beneath.

“Then maybe we should do some exercise?”

With that, she slid her hand down to rest on his crotch, and instantly, he stood at attention.

Selena smirked. What a little boy, already standing to salute.

Before Keith could fully grasp the situation, she released him and stood upright, saying:

“I’m really tired. One unscientific day of living won’t kill me.”

With that, she turned and headed back into the room. Just before closing the door, she said:

“My name is Selena.”

Seeing that Keith was still frozen in place, Selena slammed the door shut.

Keith slumped back onto the sofa, his face as red as a boiled shrimp, while the tent in his pants remained prominently pitched.

From inside the room, Selena heard the sound of water splashing outside and sneered. This little brat was truly a creature that only looked at people's faces. Fawning over beautiful women, while completely ignoring those who weren’t as attractive, treating them as if they weren’t even human.

She had even gone out of her way to say her name to him just now, but he didn’t seem to find it strange. Most likely, he had called her by so many terrible nicknames before that he’d forgotten her real name.

Let’s see what expression he’ll make when he realizes he’s fallen in love with the very woman he used to mock.

The next morning, Keith woke up and, seeing the door to Selena’s room still closed, assumed she was still asleep. For the first time in his life, this pampered young man prepared breakfast for his goddess.

Once everything was ready, he knocked on her door, but no matter how much he knocked, there was no response.

“Selena, are you awake yet?”

The silence inside made Keith panic. Fearing something had happened to her, he kicked the door open.

“Selena!”

Keith stood dumbfounded, staring at the empty room. The girl he had brought home yesterday had disappeared, leaving only the long bathrobe she had worn on the bed.

Like a madman, Keith rushed out of the apartment. At that moment, something inside him seemed to shatter. Was the first person he had ever loved really going to leave him like discarded trash?
