Chapter 5 The Demon's bite.

LUANA’S POV

“What are you doing here!?” I shouted, clearly annoyed to see him.

“There’s a storm outside. You’re upset.”

The calmness in his voice irritated me.

“Leave.”

He didn’t move.

“I said leave!!”

“Luana—”

“Don't you dare call my name! Leave, I want to be alone."

He walked toward me.

Every step made my heart beat faster and faster.

Before I could react, he picked me up and placed me on the bed, pinning me under him.

It happened so quickly I didn’t even have time to process it.

"You read about that night didn't you?"

I froze.

And then anger took over.

I used ice magic to claw my fingers with ice and tried to scratch his neck.

But as I had expected, there was an invisible force field blocking me from doing so.

I was so upset that I couldn't do anything to him!

The lightning flashed, thunder crashing loudly as the rain began to pour.

“Luana, you need to calm down.”

I ignored him. I tried to push him off, but he was too strong.

“Luana, be still.”

“Get off me, you bastard!”

Thunder rumbled again.

He sighed. “You leave me no choice.”

He grabbed my hands and pinned it above my head. He leaned in, his face, just a few inches from mine. My eyes widened.

Then, In a fraction of a second, he bit my shoulder.

The pain was sharp and unexpected. I gasped, but he only bit harder.

What was this?

I felt drowsy… weak… even his face began to blur. I knew I was going to black out any second.

I didn’t even have the strength to push him away or break whatever spell this was.

“I’ll break the binding spell..and I'll kill you…” I whispered weakly.

That was the last thing I said before everything went dark.

~~~~~~~~~
I woke up the next day feeling and looking like shit.
My hair was a mess, and it felt like a dagger was lodged in my heart.
The storm had passed, and the sky was clear.
I got up from bed and looked in the mirror.
The bite mark looked like a hickey.
That bastard… he had put me to sleep with that bite. What was he, a vampire?
I moved to the window and saw him, caressing his wolves.
My mouth suddenly tasted bitter.
“Calm down Luana. You need to be calm and analyze the situation.”
I sat on the bed, my gaze fixated on the mark on my inner arm.
I closed my eyes and inhaled.
The situation was indeed messy.
First, I can't leave, I'm trapped.
Second, I can't harm him with my magic or weapons, I only get blocked.
“There has to be a loop hole somewhere”…I bit my nail in frustration.
What do I know about binding spells?
Ah yes.
There are two options to break free.
One, If you can get the binder to loose their guard, the magic will ease up as well.
That's why I took the dagger to the library.
I had hoped he would have come to check on me himself and when his guard was down I would strike him.
But looking at it now, I don't even think that would have worked.
He's too strong.
“Damn it.”
And then the last…the spell book.
While I was reading in the library, I did a location spell and found the book in his study.
But the magic barrier I felt was too strong.
It threw me off. The magic was powerful.
“If I can get stronger, I'm sure I'll be able to break the barrier or….I balled my fists.
“kill him once and for all.”
Just then, a knock came.
I opened the door and was surprised to see the demon king.
I wanted to punch his face so hard right now, but I restrained myself.
"What do you want?"
His fingers brushed my skin as he moved my hair aside, caressing the bite mark.
“Does it still hurt?”
I smelled liquor. Was he drunk?
I slapped his hand away.
"What do you care? You didn't care when you bit me did you?"
"No, I didn't care."
He leaned in and touched my hair.
"So why now?" He continued, playing with my hair between his fingers.
"You're just drunk". I said. Moving away from him, "don't touch me."
He caught my hand.
And when he did, I could see our marks glowing a purpulish hue.
"I can feel your pain, Luana".
So that's why it was purple.
"You should leave before you feel any more sadness".
"You think I want to be here? It's the spell". He said.
I laughed.
"Now who's genius idea was it to have me bound, hmm?"
Something lit up in his eyes—anger.
In one swift motion, he locked the door and pinned me to it.
