Chapter 6 You're a Dead Pig

"Josephine Titan, no matter how much you run your mouth now, my third brother will kick you out soon."

"Then let's wait until he does."

Josephine didn't want to deal with this inexplicable woman, especially before she fully understood the other party's identity.

Just as she turned to leave, Raelith Vane unexpectedly blocked her way, looking smug. "Josephine, if you had left obediently, I wouldn't have said anything. But now..."

Josephine's heart stirred, and she raised her eyelids. "Do you have something on me?"

Raelith looked proud. "You guessed it."

She waved her phone in front of Josephine's eyes. "Take a good look. This is a video of you fooling around with Alistair Vance. If you don't leave, I'll show this to my third brother."

A video of her and Alistair? How could it be on this woman's phone? Could it be that she had long been in cahoots with Seraphina Titan? She had underestimated Seraphina. She had thought that forcing her to marry in her place was already the limit, but she hadn't expected that even after she did, there was still Raelith Vane waiting for her in the Veyron household. Good. Very good.

"Afraid now?" Raelith became smug.

"Why should I be afraid?" Josephine raised her eyebrows. It was just a video.

"Aren't you afraid I'll show it to my third brother?"

"Whatever."

Whatever? Raelith was furious. Did this woman not know that her behavior was putting a green hat on her third brother? Did she not care about his reputation at all? Was it because she was dissatisfied with the marriage and held a grudge that she didn't care? Raelith was so angry she exclaimed, "Are you trying to play me for a fool?"

Josephine pursed her lips and stared at Raelith with her dark eyes, replying seriously, word by word, "You're the fool! Your whole family are fools!"

Raelith was confused by her response. Did Josephine really need to be so serious when insulting someone?

After Josephine finished scolding Raelith, she took a step forward to enter the room. However, when Raelith saw her move, she suddenly took several steps back and accused Josephine of trying to steal her phone. Josephine stood there and looked at Raelith's cunning expression, then suddenly smiled.

The next second, Raelith, too focused on Josephine, missed a step and tumbled down the stairs. She fell silently and fainted.

The servants downstairs were thrown into chaos. Butler Wren looked up at Josephine and asked, "Madam, what happened?"

Josephine replied innocently, "Oh, she fell down by herself. It has nothing to do with me."

Butler Wren was a little suspicious of her quick response, but since Josephine said it had nothing to do with her, he didn't press the matter. Wren turned around and arranged for a car and servants to deal with Raelith's situation. When he turned back, Josephine was still there, leaning against the stair railing, playing with her phone as if nothing had happened. That old phone probably doesn't even have 4G. I wonder what's so interesting about it. Sigh. Butler Wren let out a sigh. He had originally thought this person was gentle and kind, but he hadn't expected her to be so cold-hearted. Even after Miss Vane had fallen like that, she could still play with her phone as if nothing had happened.

Upstairs, Karl Veyron lay on the bed, staring at the virtual screen in front of him, which was playing a live feed of Josephine. He moved his fingers, and Josephine's phone screen was enlarged on his display. Karl was surprised. He never thought his newlywed wife was actually a hacker.

And she was currently hacking into Raelith Vane's phone. After entering a few lines of code, an encrypted video in the phone was filtered out. With a light tap of her slender fingers, the video was immediately force-deleted by the code command. Afterward, all the storage space on Raelith's phone even the cloud drive was forcibly swept by the command. Clean and neat, not a trace left behind.

"Darian Voss?"

Darian, who was guarding outside the door, immediately pushed it open and came in.

"Why isn't 'hacker' listed in the investigation materials?"

Darian thought for a moment and replied, "Indeed, according to the information passed back by Silas Thorn, the young lady's computer skills are limited to drawing and writing."

Darian looked at the screen and suddenly stiffened. "Master, I'll immediately re-investigate."

"Fine. Also, tell Wren to give Fenna to the young lady."

Darian was taken aback. Fenna, despite her young age, possessed extraordinary strength. The young master always brought her with him wherever he went, and Darian had always thought the young master wanted to train Fenna into a deadly weapon. He never expected her to be given to the young mistress. So... could it be that the young master has developed feelings for the young mistress?

"Is there a problem?" Karl asked.

Darian immediately shook his head. "No, no problem. I'll go talk to the butler now."

After Darian left, Karl rewound the footage to when Josephine and Raelith were arguing. Watching the seemingly gentle and delicate girl become instantly furious at Raelith's "get lost as far as you can!" Karl couldn't help but smile. Medical skills, hacking skills... And a personality completely different from the investigation report. So how many secrets does his new wife really have? And what was the reason she offered herself to him?

While Karl was pondering these questions, Josephine had already returned to her room. After making sure there were no surveillance cameras in the room, she turned on her computer and added an extra layer of protection to the existing firewall before using it.

During lunch, Karl did not appear, and Josephine did not ask. The butler called her to eat, and she ate obediently. However, while eating, she moved quickly, as if afraid someone would take her food away. After finishing her meal, she went back to her room and changed into a lotus-green dress, picked a bag, and put her marriage certificate inside. Then she went downstairs to find Butler Wren.

"Madam, are you going out?" Wren asked.

"Yes, can you arrange someone to accompany me?" Josephine replied politely a far cry from her cold demeanor toward Miss Vane that morning. Is she a person who changes her face easily? Wren looked at her curiously and then went outside to call in a young girl.

She looked less than twenty years old, with a round face and big eyes. She wore blue sportswear and smiled with two small tiger teeth when she saw Josephine. "This is Fenna. She has some martial arts skills and can handle three to five men easily. She can also drive," Wren introduced.

Josephine nodded. Actually, she just wanted someone to be with her as an alibi, so it didn't matter if Fenna had martial arts skills or not, as long as she could drive. As the car drove out of the Veyron estate and turned onto the main road, Josephine's phone rang.

It was Reginald Titan calling. "Josephine, what's in it for you to mess up our family business?"
