Chapter 5 Amazing Combat Arts!

Felix was skilled in combat.

When Grant saw Felix about to attack Amelia, he rushed over to stop him.

"Felix! Stop!"

But Felix was determined to kill whoever had harmed Natalie. How could he possibly listen to Grant now?

He shoved Grant aside when he rushed forward to block him, then dodged around him and swung at Amelia.

Just as his powerful palm was about to strike the back of Amelia's head, Grant thought it was all over. He couldn't bear to see Amelia's terrible fate and instinctively closed his eyes.

He only heard a crisp sound—the sound of bones dislocating.

It was over.

Had her skull been cracked open?

Amelia! Their Amelia!

Grant opened his eyes in grief, only to see that the injured person wasn't Amelia at all, but Felix.

Somehow, Amelia had pinned him to the ground with one hand. He couldn't move, his face twisted in pain.

Holden over there had already frozen in shock.

Grant hadn't seen what happened, but Holden had seen it clearly.

At that moment, Amelia moved so fast that the naked eye could catch only a blur. Quick, precise, and ruthless, she turned defense into offense, subduing Felix in a single move and pinning him firmly to the ground.

Such incredible speed and impressive skill!

Even without understanding Combat Arts, he could tell that Amelia's skills far surpassed Felix's.

But how was this possible?

Felix was from the Combat Arts Association.

Anyone who could enter the Combat Arts Association had exceptional skills—at the very least, they could take on five people at once.

Could this Amelia truly have grown up in the countryside?

While Holden was shocked, Grant had already recovered from his surprise and rushed over to check on Amelia.

"Amelia, are you okay?"

Amelia shook her head, her face devoid of emotion.

The ambusher’s martial arts skills weren’t enough to harm her in the slightest.

Felix endured the pain in his arm and shot Grant a resentful glare.

"You should be asking if I'm okay! Also, who is Amelia? Why are you helping someone who hurt our mom? After one trip out, have you lost your mind? Have you gone crazy?"

Seeing that Amelia was indeed fine, Grant finally explained to Felix, "Felix, this is Amelia, our seventh sister. She's not harming Mom, she's treating her, curing her illness!"

Felix froze and looked at her in disbelief.

But from his angle, all he could see was Amelia’s slender yet deceptively powerful arm.

"You're my sister?"

Amelia had already guessed Felix's identity.

Realizing it was a misunderstanding, she released her grip on Felix.

After replying, she turned back to Natalie's bedside and continued the treatment.

Her expression was so calm, as if nothing had just happened.

Now free, Felix could barely push himself up from the ground.

Grant glanced at Amelia, then at Felix's pale face, and couldn’t help but ask, "Felix, are you okay?"

Not okay!

His right arm was dislocated, and everything below the elbow hung limp and powerless.

The slightest movement sent a bone-deep pain shooting through him.

But his pride wouldn't allow him to admit he was hurt.

How could someone from the Combat Arts Association be defeated by his own sister?

He underestimated her, and she had taken him down in a single move.

After swallowing his pride, Felix said stubbornly, "I'm fine!"

Hearing this, Grant didn't suspect anything and breathed a sigh of relief. "That's good. You almost hurt Amelia just now. Be more careful in the future!"

Felix couldn't help looking at Amelia again.

She wore a patched jacket like something a middle-aged rural woman might wear.

An icy aura surrounded her, making him hesitate.

Although from his angle he still couldn't see what Amelia looked like.

In his memory, Amelia had been a sweet, gentle, and adorable little girl.

Yet the Amelia standing by Natalie’s bed exuded a sharp, imposing presence, with no trace of the gentle child he remembered.

"How was I supposed to know she was Amelia? Are you absolutely sure she's our real sister?"

"I've already confirmed it. There's no mistake."

After Grant's explanation and seeing the pendant as proof, Felix finally began to believe it.

Enduring the pain, he asked why Natalie had suddenly fainted.

At the mention of this, Grant clenched his teeth in anger.

"It's all because of Yasmin!"

"Yasmin? What did she do?"

"From now on, we only have one sister—Amelia! Yasmin has nothing to do with the Richardson family anymore!"

Of Quinton’s six sons, all but Grant were close to Yasmin.

Hearing this, Felix instinctively assumed it was Grant’s fault.

"Grant, you've always had a tense relationship with Yasmin. Whatever conflict you've had with her again, you can't say things like that! From the day she was adopted, she became our sister!"

Grant laughed bitterly.

He knew Felix was stubborn. Once he decided on a person or matter, he wouldn't easily change his mind.

So Grant didn’t argue. Instead, he pulled out one copy of the severance document and threw it at Felix.

"See for yourself!"

Felix took the document with suspicion.

After reading the content, his eyes suddenly widened.

"This is Yasmin's handwriting."

There was no way he could mistake Yasmin’s handwriting.

In black and white, it stated that Yasmin would have no further ties to the Richardson family and that the adoption agreement was terminated.

What was going on?

After a brief moment of shock, a suspicion crossed Felix’s mind.

He grabbed Grant's collar with his uninjured left hand, glaring at him with open hostility.

"Is it because Amelia came back that you're making Yasmin leave our home?"

"Even if the Richardson family has fallen on hard times, can't we afford to feed Yasmin?"

"No matter what, we watched Yasmin grow up. How could you do this?!"

Grant was so angry he almost rolled his eyes.

"I said it before—of all us brothers, except for me, you're all blind!"

Felix frowned.

"What nonsense are you talking about? Hurry up and bring Yasmin back and apologize to her properly! Otherwise don't blame me for getting physical with you!"

Grant’s expression darkened. He pushed Felix away and spoke with disappointment, "You’d really raise your hand against your own brother for an outsider?"

"What spell has Yasmin cast on you that you still can't see her true face?"

"You just asked why Mom suddenly fainted, didn’t you?"

"Fine, I'll tell you!"

"I didn't force her to write this severance document—she forced us to sign it!"

"When our family got into trouble, she wrote this document to cut ties with us so we wouldn’t jeopardize her marriage into the Sullivan family!"

"Mom fainted because she was furious with her!"
