Chapter 10
Sabrina's POV
“Okay. You win, Kyle.” I sighed dramatically but really because I was exhausted and done. I weighed everything and saw no end.
“What was that?” He asked, pretending not to hear me, wanting me to repeat myself again.
“You win. I surrender. I'm tired and exhausted. I just want to see my kids and be sure they are fine. That's all I ask, and I'll do whatever you want if you spare me, please.” I sounded tired. What was the point in fighting anyway? This is my fate.
“I win?” Then he let out a dark chuckle like I said something funny. “There's no competition here. I order you around and you listen, that's it. You've been really disobedient but it's good to see that you're finally getting a glimpse and understanding your reality.”
On normal grounds I would've spat at him and cursed him, but words failed me. Hell, I didn't even have the will to talk back.
He was right. I signed the next two years of my life away to this man. I did. It was all me, so how dare I complain and not expect the worst?
I simply nodded my head, wearing a forced and weak smile as I looked up at him.
“So you're saying you'll behave? You'll be a good wife? I have a pack meeting to attend, so hurry up.”
“Yes Kyle. I will. I'll stay here like you've requested.” I've resigned totally at this point.
“Good.” He rose up and just when I thought he would leave, he began to undo the ropes that were used to tie me up.
I agree, I said I would surrender but for once, I wanted to be free. When I got free, I kicked him away with all my might and tried to make a run for it, but remind me why I'm in this mess in the first place?
That's right, because I made poor decisions in the heat of the moment. What was I thinking, trying to escape the most dangerous Alpha? I'm so pathetic.
I didn't make it far. Hell, I barely left his focus. He grabbed me like I was nothing by my throat and pushed me to the wall, pressed himself against me and glared at me. It happened so suddenly that I gasped in fear. What would he do now?
He didn't say anything, he just found his way to my neck and began to sniff me like some stray dog. He handled me like I was his property. He ran his nose through my throat, taking me in and groaning. I almost melted.
“Don't test me like that, Luna. Don't. You agreed to surrender.” Just like that, he let me go, and somehow, my body missed the hotness I felt when he had his breath all over my neck.
I breathed hard and apologized, this time meaning it. There was clearly no place to run.
“I'm sorry. I promise it won't happen again. I don't know what came over me.”
He stared hard at me, then raised my chin up with his hand. A part of me hated him touching me, a part unsure but the greatest part felt something.
“No, it won't happen again.” Warning hung in his voice and I understood the message immediately. He let go of me, then did the most shocking thing.
He suddenly picked me up in bridal style against my will. I yelled at him to drop me down but he ignored my pleas.
I was embarrassed and almost naked. I didn't want the close contact at all, especially with a crazy man like him.
Trust Kyle not to listen. He led us out of wherever the hell we were and when I saw his mansion come into view, I realized that he had me tied up in one of the tiny houses he used for whatever purposes, but definitely not for pleasure.
I can't believe he tied me up. I felt nothing but fear.
We arrived at the mansion and he had lots of maids and guards, it was crazy. Seeing the mansion up close was like some sort of dream.
It looked nothing like my ex husband's mansion back then. Kyle reeked of wealth, power and madness. No wonder he was unstoppable.
I pretended and didn't show my awe on my face but let him carry me all the way to my room. When we arrived, he dropped me and that's when I realized why he carried me.
I tried to run away under the influence of adrenaline earlier, so I didn't realize that walking was actually a little challenge as I had been tied up for long.
“I assumed you wouldn't want us in the same bed. I should be rational and understand that, so I got you your own room.”
That's when it sank in that truly, he would've forced me to sleep in his room and I wouldn't have been able to complain. I will accept that he was actually being rational at this point, but I'll never thank him.
I just stood in front of him, unsure of a reply and scared to move, in case I fell.
“Would you like to shower again?” He questioned from behind me and I nodded before replying.
“Yes please.”
“Dinner is downstairs so come down after.”
I rolled my eyes.
“I'm not hungry. I'll pass. I just want my kids.” I had already eaten before his asshole guards kidnapped me.
Even if I was suffering with an empty stomach, I still had no plans to eat tonight. He had humiliated me so much, I was now so ashamed of facing other werewolves.
“Freshen up and come eat. You'll see them there.”
“You can just send them up here instead, Kyle. You can do that for me.”
“I don't want to. I want you, seated at the dining table, and that's why I said you should initially. I'll be expecting you.”
I cursed him in my head and took a step towards my room, but I fell down when I moved. It was a terrible, careless fall and I cried out a bit. Just when I expected no help, it came in the form of strong arms, broad shoulders, deadly face and nice cologne.
He picked me up and dropped me on my bed. I was too exhausted to know where I was, I just wanted a proper bath even though I had one already for the night.
He drew my bath himself then picked me up from bed again like I was weightless. He took me into the bathroom and made a move to undress me, but I came alive and slapped his hands off my body. It was so sudden, I shocked myself too.
My eyes widened like I had just gained access to myself again. Being tied up for hours and falling flat on your face weren't things you wanted to happen to you on the same night
“Don't touch me. I can handle things from here. Please leave.” I stood my ground, looking ahead, anywhere but him.
“Right. I'll get a maid here to help you out when you're done. She'll guide you down for dinner too.”
“I would appreciate that, thanks.”
Things were a bit awkward, but at least he behaved like a gentleman and left me alone. I still couldn't believe that I was about to let him undress me. It caused me to shiver when I thought about it.
