Chapter 11

Sabrina's POV

My legs finally began to work again after a good time resting. To be honest, I enjoyed the bath. It was refreshing with bath bombs, nice essential oils and great shampoo. I just stayed in there for a while, it was some sort of therapy for me that worked really well.

When I came out I felt refreshed like I didn't just experience the most shitty day of my life, being married to the most dangerous alpha king.

It's when I came out of the bathroom that I took in my environment, my room for the first time. Gold. All gold a white. It looked a little bit too grand and exquisite for me.

Even when I was married to Marcus, there was nothing this grand. It scared me a bit. The room was the most beautiful room I've ever stepped foot in, and now it was mine. At least Kyle did one thing right.

I saw the maid that helped me already picked out a decent night dress for me to wear. It was black and flared, so I hastily put it on before drying my hair, sitting down in front of the mirror. I loved the whole thing truly. Now, my kids.

I took the stairs back down and looked for the dining room. It wasn't hard to find since before even arriving, I heard the sound of my kids' voices. I almost cried.

The dining table was beautiful and state of the art and all but it was the least of my worries. I finally got to see my kids! They were eating but when they saw me they got down and ran into my arms.

I hugged and kissed them, my poor naive unsuspecting babies. They had no idea what I had been through for the past couple of hours and now much of an asshole their father truly is.

“Mommy! Mommy!” Ellie hugged me first, my sweet child. Ethan came running after and we bonded like a sweet family for two minutes before I decided to check for any injuries.

“How are you? Are you hurt or anything?” I tried to stay calm but my voice betrayed me by worrying. It cut as I asked. Ellie as always, answered for the both of them with her cute tiny voice.

“No, Uncle said you had to work late and that something happened to the house so he's letting us stay here.”

I just smiled sadly at my daughter and glanced at Kyle momentarily who was digging into his food. He really didn't care about anything at all, did he?

“Really? And nothing happened? Nothing strange?” I asked further, this time checking everywhere to make sure there were no new bruises. I guess this time around it really pissed Kyle off.

He threw his fork on his plate tastelessly and replied carefully, like he was trying so hard to contain his anger. He thought I was trying to say he possibly hit my kids.

Well, it wouldn't be far from the truth. He's crazy and sick and I hate him more than anything.

Even though he probably isn't that kind of guy, I can't help but become severely paranoid.

“They've been playing in the little playground I just got them. Take a seat, please.” He requested like a perfect gentleman. The kids heard his voice and ran back to their seats like sweethearts.

As I walked to my seat close to my fake husband, I saw their meals, beautifully made and appealing. I settled into my seat and began to dig in, just like Alpha Kyle wanted.

I didn't say a word to him, I just ate until I got tired of eating. I stood up and wanted to take the kids away but he stopped me.

“They have their own room. I know you want them together, so I did just that. Theresa will put them to bed, so you can go get some sleep, you've had a long day.”

Theresa was the kid's nanny, but I really didn't want to get used to that already. I didn't want to lose the connection I had with my kids, and how dare him pretend to care for me?

“I wonder why I had such a long day, Kyle.” I said distastefully, eyeing him, wishing I could shoot daggers through my eyes.

“I understand your concern but I would like to put my kids to bed tonight, and every night. Don't tell me you're against that too.”

“Fine, suit yourself.”

“I will.” Then I picked up my kids and let Theresa, who witnessed the whole exchange, show me to their room.

When I arrived, I was beyond speechless. My room was the most beautiful room I've ever seen? No, my kids room was better. The perfect mix of pink and blue in all the right places, twin beds, a PlayStation, pillar of snacks and unbreakable artifacts. I couldn't believe my eyes.

Theresa cleared her throat behind me like I was wasting her time. Such a bitch. Just because they all saw Kyle treat me like dirt didn't mean I wasn't his wife or something.

I just brushed it away because anyone would turn bratty, working for that beast.

My kids had already gotten used to the room and Theresa had done a good job of bathing them, so I just tucked them into bed warmly.

Theresa watched and I forced a smile her way, while thanking her for everything anyway.

“It's nothing, Mrs. Hunter.” She smiled back. Wait, did I imagine her earlier bitchy reaction? I really need some sleep.

Hunter is Kyle's last name. I nodded, forcing myself not to hate it as I left the room and headed for mine for the night.

I had to accept my new fate and be strong about it. Now that I've established that the moon goddess wasn't on my side, I would find ways to appease her soon so she would have a little mercy on me. My life has been such a living hell.

I entered my room and removed the jacket part of the night gown I had on, ready to slip into bed. I didn't expect a knock on my door. When I asked for the identity of the person, I got no reply but more knocks. It pissed me off. I got out of bed and angrily opened up.

Kyle Hunter. Of course I should have known it was him. He's the only sicko that would do this.
