Chapter 19

Sabrina's POV

Just when I thought things were beginning to get better with Kyle, everything came crashing down again and I hated him all over again, even harder than before. Cheating and flaunting it all over my face? That's some crazy level of rudeness, just because I said I'll never sleep with him.

At least I know now more than ever that he'll never touch me, especially after messing around with an ex-girlfriend. Maybe they are even back together.

I'm sure he respects me enough to not flaunt her in public so it probably happens in his office in secret. I'll be grateful for that anyway.

I got up, it was bright and early and I just wanted to leave the house. Theresa had done a great job at showering the kids before I even woke up, so I met them at breakfast.

“Good morning mommy!” They chorused and before I took my seat, I gave both of them kisses on their cheeks. I surely missed bonding with my babies. Their birthdays were coming soon too.

“How are you?” I asked, helping myself with some of the meals at the table. They consisted of eggs, bacon, fried fish, fries, fruits, orange juice, and toast. It made me think about the last time I made a decent meal.

Kyle doesn't let me do anything but I will surely fight to cook one of these days, just to have something to do and honestly, because I missed it. I also wanted to make my kids favourite oat, chocolate cookies I've been making for years now. It's never a dull moment with it.

Ethan replied first, but it wasn't what I was expecting from him.

“Mommy Ellie has a boyfriend at school!”

I almost choked on my toast.

“What?”

“Ethan!” She looked really pissed at her brother as she yelled out his name in anger. She clearly didn't want me to know, which means Ethan was saying the truth.

Still, her face flushed, a bright red. My little girl definitely had a crush on that boy, but it was incredibly early and I don't think I want that for her.

He saw it too, so he kept quiet and resumed eating. I couldn't help but smile. My kids were so cute. Ellie looked shaken like a dried leaf so I knew addressing it now will hurt her, so I decided to let her be for now.

We'll surely talk about it later because she's young! She needs to know about boys, especially boys like her father so she'll never get tricked into signing a contract that will make her sell parts of her life away.

I immediately changed the subject to something that has actually been bothering me recently. I still don't know why I cared but all I knew, it was at the top of everything I had been thinking about. I cleared my throat thoughtfully like it was such a big deal before asking them the question I had in mind.

“Do you know about the woman that came here yesterday?” I asked Ellie in particular, hoping she saw that I wasn't going to make her feel bad about having a boyfriend and that it was okay, except it was not but for now I wanted her cooperation.

My kids wore more expensive clothes now and Ellie looked especially beautiful in her new uniform. Kyle didn't waste time changing schools, so I'm surprised that she already has a boyfriend.

She looked delighted to answer. My guess is she thought I forgot or that I didn't mind. Good enough.

“Yes, she was in Uncle Kyle's car when he picked us up in school the first time. She's also been here before.”

They still think Kyle is an uncle, great. He's married to their mom even though it's a fake marriage and he's truly their father. It's a lot. Wait, as in, the day he kidnapped my kids from their old school, she was in the car? What the hell?

“Really? Is that all you know?”

She nodded then concentrated on her food. For me, I was just lost in thought until Kyle came to join us.

“Good morning Uncle!” The kids greeted him and he was more than happy to return their greetings.

He settled down beside me, out of all the chairs in the dining room. It disgusted me a little and I was tempted to shift and sit on another seat, but my kids would notice and knowing Kyle, he'll just create a scene.

I swallowed and dealt with it. We didn't say anything to each other and after our meal, I took the kids out, straight to the dress shop as agreed.

I didn't drive. Kyle didn't let me yet but I'll get him eventually.

It was the dress where I was getting my wedding dress done and my little bride, my daughter's dress too. Kyle was in charge of Ethan's suit but I knew he would want to come with us, so I took him along for that one reason.

I didn't expect to make a friend there at all, but I did.

I arrived with my kids and met with the fashion designer. She was always happy to see me and the pleasure was always mine.

I slid into my dress and even though I wasn't super hyped about the wedding, I was incredibly in love with the dress and I couldn't wait to put it on for my cheating husband.

When I finished, my daughter had hers worn too and I almost shed a couple of tears. My daughter looked so beautiful.

The dress fitting turned out great! My new friend also came to fit into a dress she was wearing for an upcoming event, and that's how we ran into each other. We exchanged pleasantries, she recognized me as Luna and we just instantly clicked. She offered a coffee date, her treat and the kids basically guilt tripped me into accepting.

We left the dress up together and only had to cross the street to get to a coffee shop. She introduced herself as Marcie, and she's one beautiful woman.

We had coffee and I ordered snacks for the kids so they played while we chatted for a bit. Eventually I had to return home, and I wasn't sure if I was happy about it.

We left the restaurant and I made the driver take me back to my old house, just to see how much changes have been done to the place after we said our goodbyes to Marcie.

Open reaching there, astonishment clothed me. I wasn't elated about what I was looking at.

The asshole hasn't touched a thing!
