Chapter 5

"Grandma?!" Seeing the old woman enter, Linda Henry felt weak all over and was about to faint.

“Have you got the nerve to call me grandma?! I don’t recognize you as my granddaughter! The family’s reputation has been ruined because of you!”

The old woman glanced around, then her gaze fell back on Линда·Генри:

“Your fiancé, Harry·Malan, was personally arranged by your grandfather! Does that mean your grandfather’s word doesn’t count anymore?!”

Harry·Malan, who was nearby, was taken aback at the words.

Linda Henry's fiancé is also named Harry Malan?

Could it be such a coincidence?

However, at that moment, no one noticed Harry Malan at all.

But Linda Henry also knew in her heart that in the current situation, no matter what she said, it would be useless.

"Hahahaha, I've never seen someone as shameless as you! With both human and physical evidence right here, do you still think you can deny it?"

Gil said with a cold smile while handing a photo to the elderly woman.

The elderly woman just glanced at it casually and frowned in disgust: "Look at the disgusting things you've done!"

Linda Henry saw that in the photo, she was lying in bed with her clothes in disarray, with Harry Malan on top of her.

Linda Henry knew that now she really couldn't explain herself.

It was almost impossible to turn the situation around.

“I……have nothing to say!” Linda Henry sighed and lowered her head.

“In that case, I will remove you from the position of Chairman of Group and expel you from the family. Do you have anything to say!”

Seeing the triumphant smile of Gil behind the old woman, Linda Henry couldn't help but clench her fists, but she knew she had no defense now.

She thought her grandmother would only take advantage of the situation to suppress her, but she never expected her grandmother would actually expel her from the family!

But now it's her own fault, she can only accept her fate.

Just then.

Harry Malan spoke.

“Wait!”

Everyone then noticed Harry Malan.

Zeng Ge and Hillary Morris heard this, looking at Harry Malan with smug grins.

Several burly bodyguards walked up to Harry Malan.

"This is all my fault! It has nothing to do with him! Let him go!" Linda Henry couldn't help but speak up.

Anyway, Harry Malan was just a waiter, there was no need to involve him.

“Whoa? You’re feeling hurt now? But too bad, the family isn’t something just anyone can touch!”

“Do the family do things this way without asking?” Harry spoke coldly.

“How the family does things, do we need your teaching?” Gil was furious: “Get him out of here right now?”

“Are you an idiot? If I were Linda Henry’s fiancé, would you still kick me out?”

Harry Malan steadied the swaying Linda Henry, who was sitting on the bed, and asked.

“Hahaha, you’re the idiot, right? Just you?”

“Don't believe it? How about you dare to bet with me?” Harry Malan smirked.

“Ha ha, there's nothing Gil wouldn't dare! Tell me, what's the bet?”

“If you lose, you kneel down and bark like a dog five times, how about that?”

Gil 's expression turned grim instantly.

Let yourself bark like a dog?

"If I lose?" Gil Kenelly asked with a grim face.

“No!” Linda Henry blurted out.

She didn't even believe Harry Malan could be her fiancé, her fiancé had been arranged by her grandfather, how could he just be a waiter?

Moreover, if he lost, even if he didn't jump himself, with Gil personality, he would definitely throw him off the twenty-story building!

“In that case, are you agreeing to bet with me?” Harry Malan smiled nonchalantly.

“Since you're so eager to be a flying trapeze artist, why should I stop you?” Gil Goldin also looked utterly indifferent.

“Haha, actually, I just really want to hear the sound of a dog barking!”

Harry Malan, while speaking, pulled something out of his pocket and handed it to the elderly woman:

After taking a clear look at what Harry Malan was holding, the old woman was startled.

After a while, the old woman finally spoke: "Come here!"

"You! Take the jade pendant your grandfather gave you!" The old woman trembled as she took the jade pendant from Harry Malan, then said to Linda Henry in a trembling voice.

After taking Linda Henry's jade pendant, the old woman combined the two pendants.

"How is this possible?" Linda Henry looked at the scene in disbelief.

"You are Harry Malan?" the old woman asked in astonishment.

“Exactly!” Harry Malan nodded, then took his jade pendant and returned to Linda Henry’s side, embracing her in front of everyone: “Elder, my fiancée and I want to get to know each other a bit in advance, is there a problem?”

After speaking, she glared fiercely at Gil behind her.

“Are you really Linda Henry’s fiancé? How is that possible?!” Gil still looked unconvinced.

“What? Are you questioning your grandmother?” Harry one sentence silenced Gil .

In the family, the elderly grandmother hates being questioned the most.

“Hmph! You’ll wait and see!”

"Stop!" Harry Malan called him back.

"What now?" Gil Kelly asked impatiently.

"As the saying goes, you have to honor your bets. It seems you've forgotten something!" Harry Malan said directly, ignoring Gil Kelly's mood and speaking to himself.

“You… don’t go too far!” Gil Kenzley said in exasperation.

Seeing Gil Kenzley like this, Harry Malan didn’t say much more and turned his head to look at the old lady of the Kenzley family, saying, “Grandma, the Kenzley family is also considered a large family. Haven’t you always taught that ‘a person without integrity cannot stand’ at home?”

“Grandma!” Gil did not expect that Grandma would actually let him kneel down.

“Don’t you kneel down quickly! Do you want people to look down on our family?!” the of the family continued to say without any hesitation.

“Yes!” Gil obediently knelt down on the ground.

“Woof woof woof woof woof!” After learning five different dog barks, Gil left in a hurry.

“I never thought Mr. Malan’s protégé would end up being a waiter! Sigh!” The old grandmother of the family sighed helplessly and left with the others.

In the room, only Linda Henry and Harry Malan were left.

“Are you really my fiancé?” Linda Henry asked, her expression complex.

Although Harry Malan had just helped himself escape, Linda Henry felt oddly uncomfortable when she thought that her fiancé was actually just a waiter.

"Are we staying here tonight or?" Harry Malan asked.

“But……you haven’t given me the tip for tonight yet!” Harry Malan said unconsciously.

Linda Henry almost fell, stumbling out of the room.

The next morning, at Linda Henry’s house.

“Ah, old man, you say Xueqing came back so late yesterday, with a smell of alcohol, I wonder if something is wrong?”

Mrs. was serving breakfast at the dining table while asking.

“What could possibly happen? This child has always been well-behaved, I think, it must be the fiancé the old man set up causing trouble!”

Mr. put the phone in his hand on the coffee table and walked towards the dining table.

“You say the old man is really something, even arranging this kind of drama before leaving. What era is this, still arranged marriages!”

“Sigh! You don’t know what kind of situation the family is in, the old man’s words are like decrees. Although he’s gone, no one dares to defy his will!” Mr. said, sighing too.

“It’s also true! Sigh!” Mrs. sighed helplessly.

If it wasn't for the fiancé the old man had set up, then with Linda Henry's conditions, people chasing after her could have already lined up from here to the city's outer ring.

"I don't know what kind of person our future son-in-law will be, ah, by the way, old man, have you heard any news?" Mrs. paused for a moment and then asked again.

“I haven’t even seen this young man’s face, how could there be any news? But I heard that the person who arranged this marriage with the old gentleman back then was quite formidable, a master of martial arts. It’s said that if it weren’t for him, there wouldn’t be the family today. Like father, like son, I guess our future son-in-law won’t be too bad either.”

Old Mr. slowly sipped a mouthful of congee and said, “

"So maybe our future son-in-law should also be an outstanding person." But as Linda Henry's mother, she couldn't help but worry excessively:

"I don't know what this young man looks like, or if he's worthy of our Linda Henry?"

“I’m telling you, what’s the point of worrying anymore? This thing is already beyond changing. Even if it’s a pig, we have to accept it!” said Lord ley with a sigh.

“And I’m just curious? Can’t you say anything sensible?” said Lady ley irritably.

Lord ley was about to say something more, but at that moment, there was a knock on the door.

So early in the morning, who could it be?

A man in a suit stood at the door with a smile on his face: "Hello Aunt, is this Linda Henry's house?"

"Yes... uh... who are you?" Mrs. asked after being momentarily stunned.

"I am..." Harry Malan was about to speak when he was interrupted by Linda Henry's voice.

“Harry Malan, how did you end up at my house?”

Linda Henry, who had just come downstairs, heard some movement at the door and couldn't help but look this way. But she never expected to see a face so familiar the moment she looked up.

How could he be here?

“Don’t talk nonsense, what does ‘my home is your home’ mean, and also, don’t randomly claim parents!” Linda Henry said, blushing.

The conversation between the two left Mrs., who had opened the door, completely confused.

“He’s the fiancé my grandfather set me up with, Harry Malan!” Linda Henry said with a complex expression.

Mrs. looked stunned.

“Okay!” Harry Malan nodded and readily sat down at the table.

“Since there are still things to take care of at the company today, you guys can eat at your own pace, and I’ll head out first.” Linda Henry left home in a hurry.

The three sat there, and for a moment, the atmosphere was a bit awkward.

“Malan, since you are the fiancé of our Xueqing, there are a few questions I’d like to ask. Is it convenient for you to answer them?” Mrs. said.

“Do you have a house under your name, Malan?”

“House? No!” Harry Malan shook his head quite honestly.

“And the car… Mrs., she asked, still a bit unwillingly.

“No!” Harry Malan still shook his head truthfully.

“And the job and the savings? You must have some, right?” Mrs.’s smile had already disappeared from her face.

“The savings… there was indeed a bit.” Harry Malan wasn’t lying; when he worked as a bartender, many rich women had given him quite a few tips.

Mrs.’s expression improved slightly.

“By the way, how many digits are we talking about?”

“Maybe five or six! Those combined must be over a hundred thousand, right?”

Mrs.’s voice went up several decibels in surprise as she asked, “Only over a hundred thousand?!”

Harry Malan still nodded.

Compared to Mrs., Mr. seemed much calmer.

“No, no, I just wanted to ask, where are you working now?” Mrs. asked while imagining that perhaps he had a better job, and if he worked hard, he might have a good life in the future.

But Harry Malan's words shattered her last bit of fantasy.

"Are you just a bartender?!" Mrs.'s face was as expressive as could be, and even Mr., who had always been calm, couldn't help but frown.

So, this guy named Harry Malan is planning to marry into their old family and live off them!

But this is a marriage arrangement set by the old man, and they have no room to back out.

"Alright, I'll do what Mom and Dad say!" Harry Malan finally nodded.

“Besides, if you really want to marry my daughter, you must offer 5 million in betrothal gifts, otherwise you can just forget about it!” Mrs. said with a frown.

Although this condition is not a big problem for Harry Malan, the tone of Mrs. ley's words made Harry Malan very annoyed.

"Hmph! As a man, can't you have some dignity? Do you need the woman to arrange the wedding?! Unless you really only want to eat soft food for your whole life!" Mr. ley looked like he was frustrated with his own son.

“Hmm... My parents have a point, but rest assured, Harry Malan is definitely not the type of man who mooches off others. I will definitely give Xueqing a grand wedding!” Harry Malan hesitated for a moment but still agreed, after all, he had just put himself in someone else's shoes and thought that no one would want their daughter to marry a moocher.

“Why aren’t you going to wash the dishes quickly!” Mrs. said irritably.

“Okay!”

After tidying up these things, Harry Malan turned to leave but was called back.

"I quit my previous job and am going to see Xueqing to ask her to arrange a job for me!" Harry Malan had always been an honest person.

Seeing Harry Malan leave, Mrs. couldn't help but feel sorry for her daughter.

“Arranging a job for Xueqing for you, and you’re still a useless leech? What are you worth?” Mrs. said with great dissatisfaction.

Looking at yesterday, it seems that the branch of Linda Henry in the entire family is not in a very good state.

Just Jill Kinney, looks like she's not a good person.

But who let Linda Henry be his future wife, he can't just stand by and let her be bullied by others.

Harry Malan took out his phone and called the hotel manager, explained his situation, and then took a taxi to the Kinney Group.

“Hello! I’m looking for Linda Henry !” Harry Malan replied with a polite smile.

“Uh… no, but you could give her a call and say Harry Malan wants to see her, I’m sure she’ll come out soon.”

“Harry Malan?!” a familiar voice came.

It was Gil Kingсли, followed by a security guard in a security uniform.

“Hey, isn’t that Dog Brother?” Harry Malan greeted with a smile.

“You!” Gil Kingсли felt his teeth itch.

"I'm looking for Linda Henry to get a job arranged for me," Harry Malan replied quite honestly.

"Arrange a job? There's no need to involve our manager right away. I'll arrange one for you," Gil smiled maliciously, then signaled to the security guard behind him.

"I can be a security guard, I'm fine." Harry Malan naturally noticed the eye contact between the two just now and couldn't help but show a hint of a smile.

Then he followed Andrew Nasani towards the security department.
