Chapter 3 It's not So Hard to Accept My Five Sons?

How vicious!

He didn't deserve to find that woman he had been looking for all these years!

Downstairs...

Rachel moved the menu down a little and stared into her blind date's astonished eyes. She pursed her lips, looking coldly at the man who was feigning panic. He had picked up his cell phone to make an imaginary call.

"What, there's a fire at our company? How did that happen? Did you call the fire department?

"They're on the way?

"Okay, okay, I'll come right away."

The man hung up the phone and looked at Rachel with feigned resignation. "I'm sorry, Miss Neal, I have to go back to the company now. Something just popped up. Don't worry, I've already taken care of the bill. Just drink anything you like. I'll pay for all of it!"

"Bastard!

"A cheap trick to dupe a woman!" Rachel cursed in her heart.

"You think that I'm such a gullible fool?" Rachel could not stand it anymore, slamming her hands angrily on the table. "Don't imagine yourself to be the most eligible bachelor in town, alright? Why don't you take a good look at yourself? Would a peerless beauty like me fall for you? Stop kidding yourself! If you didn't find an excuse to leave, I would have! I'm just trying to scare you off with those sons of mine! One look at you, and I knew that you're a chicken with no class!"

Rachel vented all her anger in one breath. The man, who was about to run off, was so stunned that he slumped down on the chair, his eyes opened wide.

"Is this what she meant by... gentle and virtuous?

"This lady who could play the piano, do flower arrangement, cook, and play golf?" he asked himself, horrified.

Many people in the restaurant looked in their direction, and Nell Allen hurriedly pulled Rachel away.

Troy turned his eyes downstairs. He could only see the backs of two women and a child running out hastily.

...

In a small rented villa...

"Mommy!" An angry Angie Neal sat across from Rachel, pulling a long face. "How

could you let that man know about my five brothers! You should only say that you have one adorable girl. You know, girls these days are very popular. Sons are troublemakers, and everyone's afraid of them! Well, great, just great! There goes another one of my stepfathers."

Rachel held her face in her hands. How sad. After receiving that pregnancy test result, she did not go for another check-up at the hospital. She had always thought that she was carrying only one baby, and she almost broke down when she gave birth.

There were six babies, and the first five were boys. There was only one girl. At that time, she felt that her life was ruined.

Sure enough, it took her a great deal of effort to raise these six children. She wanted to find her kids a wealthy stepfather. She did not expect...

"Hey, don't give up, Rae. You've made progress! It's much better than before, isn't it?" Nell tried to comfort her.

"Yes, yes, Mommy has made progress!" Angie nodded. "The last few times, when they heard that you have a few sons, they either vomited, were scared stiff, or simply passed out. It was much better this time. He didn't run off right away and even paid your bill."

Rachel didn't know what to say.

Nor did Nell.

Should they be happy over this?

"Forget it. There'll be a next time. If I come across a good man, I'll introduce him to you." Nell comforted her. "It's not that difficult to accept a woman with five sons."

She herself did not believe what she just said, but still used it to comfort Rachel. "I'm off to work. Bye!"

Rachel and Angie sat for some time, staring at each other. They suddenly realized that they had something to do. Slapping the table, they stood up. They were about to go upstairs, when five little boys came down together, all in identical white shirts, black bib pants, and white sneakers, each carrying a small school bag.

...

Their small faces were exquisitely handsome, with distinct well-proportioned contours, so perfect that they seemed unearthly. Rachel blamed Heaven for everything she had suffered over the years. Yet every time she saw her sons, she felt herself truly fortunate to have them so perfect.

And five of them too!!!

As a mother, she was often fascinated by her sons.

"Babies! Mommy loves you." Rachel was mesmerized by her kids again and made a heart shape with her hands toward her five sons.

Brad Neal, the first to come down the stairs, was aloof, unsmiling, and rather cold. Although just a boy, he was a top hacker on the Internet. It would take him just a few minutes to destroy a company's website. But Rachel did not know that. She had always thought of this six-year-old son as her darling. She, on the other hand, worked hard to make a living every day. Brad stopped and glanced at Rachel, who was making a heart shape with her hands. He acknowledged her presence with a cool grunt.

A word from him would freeze anyone to death. He would not waste even one word.

"Baby, can't you smile at Mommy? Huh?" Rachel adopted a cute pose.

Brad looked at her almost exasperatedly. "Can't you be less childish, Mom?"

Rachel was speechless.

"Oh, my God!" she cried in her heart.

Rachel beat her chest.

"Are you sure he's my son?"
