Chapter 4 Got the Certificate, You Are Mine!

Chase thought he must be seeing things. He rubbed his eyes and looked into the car again.

It was real.

Chase suppressed his excitement and quickly asked, "Mr. White, is this Mrs. White?"

Benjamin's thin lips pressed slightly, showing no intention of denying it.

He picked up the prenuptial agreement and briefly summarized it, his voice low but with a hint of subtle gentleness. "Did you catch all that?"

Sophia nodded firmly, looking obedient. "Yeah, I got it. No objections."

Benjamin looked at Sophia, his thick eyelashes hiding the complex emotions in his eyes.

If he wasn't around a year from now, all his assets would be transferred to Sophia by his lawyer.

He would hire the top management team to help her run the company and manage all the investments.

If Sophia found someone she liked in the future, the White family would let her go.

If she had nowhere to go, she could choose to stay with the White family.

This prenuptial agreement was the best protection Benjamin could think of for her.

It was what he owed her.

However, Benjamin didn't know that in Sophia's eyes, this agreement was meaningless.

Because she would make sure Benjamin lived a long life.

Anyone Sophia had her eyes on would never die easily.

At the marriage registry, the staff, upon hearing that Benjamin was coming, were both surprised and a bit nervous.

Preston had three grandsons. The eldest, Alaric White, had become a leading medical expert in the country and formed his own medical team at a young age.

The youngest, Cillian White, had entered the entertainment industry and was a top star.

Everyone said the White family was impressive, producing outstanding children.

But when it came to the second son, Benjamin, there was always a sense of regret.

God had given him unparalleled looks and high intelligence, but not a strong body.

It was said that Benjamin was born weak and wouldn't live past twenty-five.

Moreover, it was rumored that Benjamin had a violent and irritable personality, and those who crossed him never had a good ending.

As they pondered this, footsteps suddenly echoed from outside.

Ryan Martin, who had been waiting in the lobby for a long time, hurried forward to greet him. "Mr. White, please come inside."

Seeing Benjamin up close, Ryan couldn't help but gasp.

The person before him was different from the frail image he had imagined. Instead, he exuded a powerful and commanding presence.

Although Benjamin's face was pale, his handsome features were deep and exquisite. His eyes showed no emotion, yet made people feel a chill.

His aura was cold and distant, making people hesitant to approach.

Meeting Benjamin's eyes, Ryan's breath caught, and he felt extremely nervous. "Mr. White, what brings you here?"

Benjamin glanced at Ryan and handed over his documents.

His voice was cold and concise. "Getting married."

The staff almost dropped their jaws, thinking they had misheard.

It was then that they noticed a glimpse of a white dress behind Benjamin.

Everyone looked closely and saw a beautiful, fair face slowly peeking out from behind Benjamin.

Sophia carefully took in the scene around her. Noticing everyone staring, she flashed a sweet smile and waved. "Hi, I'm here to get married!"

Everyone was stunned, staring at Sophia in disbelief.

This girl was gorgeous!

Where did Benjamin find her?

Was she even old enough?

Ryan mustered up his courage and asked, "Mr. White, who is this?"

Benjamin looked down at Sophia, who was clinging tightly to his arm, and a barely noticeable smile appeared on his lips. "My fiancée."

Hearing this, Sophia lifted her head from Benjamin's arm and gave a soft, sweet smile.

She seemed oblivious to the amazed looks around her, focusing entirely on Benjamin. "Honey, let's go inside. I'm starving!"

"Okay."

Benjamin's sharp, cold gaze softened instantly.

He raised his cool palm and tightly held Sophia's hand, heading towards the marriage registration.

No one knew he had searched for Sophia for seventeen years.

Seventeen years ago, he promised Sophia he would take care of her forever and give her the best of everything.

But later, he lost her.

Now that they had reunited, he couldn't make the same mistake again.

Ryan stepped forward, bowing slightly. "Mr. White, this way, please."

Benjamin nodded, leading Sophia inside.

Leaving the marriage registry, Sophia held the marriage certificate, flipping through it, her dimples appearing faintly in the sunlight, exuding an indescribable sweetness and innocence.

Benjamin said, "So happy?"

"Yes! Very happy!" Sophia nodded vigorously, her smile unrestrained as she looked at the marriage certificate.

She leaned closer to Benjamin, her eyes sparkling, and hugged his strong waist. "Hubby, now that we have the certificate, you're mine!"

Benjamin's back stiffened, his eyes flashing with a darkness Sophia couldn't understand. "Yes, I'm yours."

Sophia tilted her head, her dimples deepening, her eyes filled with undisguised joy. "Then you have to be good to me."

"Okay."

"You have to like me forever."

"Okay."

"And... don't call me dumb! I'm smart, I really am! I know a lot of things, really!"

Benjamin frowned slightly, sensing something off, but still responded, "Okay, not dumb."

Seeing that he didn't dislike her, Sophia's eyes curved into little crescents.

Suddenly remembering something, Sophia's smile faded a bit. "I, I don't eat much, I'm easy to take care of! So you can't abandon me!"

Benjamin's handsome face darkened instantly, his expression cold. Sophia sensed his mood shift and instinctively shrank back.

Her eyes blinked, and she added, "Really, I can eat just a little bit every day!"

So, he couldn't abandon her!

Sophia's cheeks puffed slightly, her chin raised, looking adorably determined.

Benjamin's brows furrowed, his eyes cold. "Did someone say that to you? Was it the Browns?"

Sophia nodded.

Thinking of the Browns, Sophia's face puffed up in anger.

She recounted all the grievances she suffered with the Brown family.

Finally, she proudly described how she cut ties with them.

Sophia's delicate face was filled with pride, her eyes lively and mischievous.

There was no trace of sadness or resentment.
