Sabrina

I walked towards the left wing part of the castle in my long dress. The maids were busy tidying up the rooms and veranda but they continued to discuss as they worked.

“I heard the Alpha's longtime girlfriend will be back today. I wonder how Luna will feel," I heard one of the maids say and my interest piqued.

“Didn't you hear that the Alpha is not the Luna, mate? It was just a marriage of convenience."

“What are you talking about? I thought the Alpha finally found his longtime Luna."

”You are wrong. Even rumours circulated in the past that Alpha Vincent's girlfriend might be his fated mate."

I halted in my footsteps when I heard the maid and the phone I was holding fall from my hand.

They jumped in fright when they saw me and bowed their heads.

The Alpha has a girlfriend and she might turn out to be his mate.

Everything makes sense now. The reason for his rejection. It was all because he had someone he had loved all along.

One of the maids picked up my phone and gave it back to me.

“Thank you," I murmured before walking away from there.

I didn't know where I was heading but I didn't stop either. I turned the doorknob and stepped out and a few minutes later, a car pulled into the compound and a woman stepped out of the car.

She wore a long red dress with a slit that reached her thighs. Her golden locks stopped in the middle of her back; she looked breathtaking, like a goddess.

The guards bowed their heads when they saw her and her bag taken out of the car.

Is she the new girlfriend they are talking about?

My question was answered when she smiled and a man walked towards her in a pair of black pants and a grey shirt.

“Vincent. I have missed you," the woman said and my eyes widened when Alpha Vincent suddenly stepped into my vision.

He drew her closer to her waist and there was longing in his eyes. My heart shattered into a million pieces when Alpha Vincent suddenly kissed her on her lips.

It was a deep, long kiss that knocked the air out of my lungs.

“I miss you, Mirabelle," Alpha Vincent said before his eyes suddenly shifted to me.

I couldn't look at them. I ran away from there.

I just wanted to get away.

I closed the door of my room and let out a painful cry. The goddess is so cruel for making this happen to me. How could she allow this to happen after I was wrongly accused? I cleaned my eyes and went in search of my phone. I dialled my mother's number and she picked it up on the second ring.

“Mother. You need to help me out.” I said, my body shaking.

“Sabrina, what happened? Your father must not know I am calling you right now.” Mother said and nodded. That explains why my father refused to pick up my call. It was all because he didn't want to speak with me at all.

“The king. He…” I tried to explain my situation to my mother but I chose not to.

No one knew we were fated mates and he already rejected me. What will I tell my mother to convince her to just take me away without even trying to win the king's heart?

“What did he do?” Mother asked. It's not as if she can help me out.

“Don't worry mother. I think I will end the call now.” I said and she heaved a sigh of relief.

“Okay, Sabrina. Take care of yourself.” Mother said and I smiled.

“I will,” I replied and ended the call.

“Sara”, I called my wolf and she replied immediately.

“Is there something we can do? I hate Brandon now but what can I do to make the king fall in love with me? I liked him more and I think he might feel the same but he is acting this way because of the rumour.” I told Sara and she replied.

Why not make him notice you?

“How?”

There is no point in hiding here. Try to speak with him and tell him what you want. Sara said and I stood up.

I looked at my reflection in the mirror and shook my head. I looked so disorganised.

“Now?” I asked Sara.

Yes. Sara replied.

I picked up the comb again and began to brush my hair. I applied lip balm and changed my dress. Even though my parents are wealthy, I have always been someone who is very good at fashion. I styled most of my dress.

Picking up my phone, I left the room and headed to where the king was. The moment I stepped outside, a maid was already waiting for me

“Where are you heading, ma?” she asked and I looked at her.

“The Alpha king's room,” I said and she led the way.

I didn't bother to look around and marvel at how beautiful the castle is, I was more focused on seeing the king.

If I fail to win his heart, I will leave.

“This is the king's chamber but I need to announce it to you,” the maid said but I beat her to it and opened the door.

“My Queen!” she exclaimed but I already beat her to it. I stepped inside and what greeted my sight first was the spacious sitting room.

“My Queen. I need to inform the king that you are here,” the maid said with panic in her voice but I didn't listen to her.

If the king's childhood sweetheart is indeed back then he should be inside with her. Will they probably be making out by now, right?

“Wait here,” I told the maid and made my way up the stairs. I continue walking until I get to the first room. I pushed the door open and stepped in. The walls were painted black and white and there is no doubt that this is the king's room.

My eyes darted around the room. The clean furniture and the king-sized bed draped with black clothing gave the room a feeling of mystery.

“I wonder who would dare come into my room without knocking but it turned out it's you.” I heard the deep baritone voice.

“Greetings, my king,” I said, turning to face him and all my anger seemed to disappear into thin air. He is shirtless with only a towel wrapped around his waist. He looked like a sex God who just seemed to have descended on earth to wreak havoc on the women on earth.

“And to what do I owe this pleasant surprise? It's already getting dark, what are you doing here?” He said and switched on the light in the room. I didn't expect him to be this endowed, Goddess.

I cleared my throat and stared at him. “I am here to talk to you,” I said and he walked towards the closet. He disappeared into the room before coming out with pants on while he held his shirt in one hand.

“If there is anything you want to say, the maid

can pass it on to me.” Alpha Vincent finally said and I swallowed. It turned out that he didn't acknowledge me.
