The next day.

The annual meeting of the Wen Group was held in the largest banquet hall in City C. The hall was decorated in a European-style retro fashion, with finely crafted furnishings everywhere. The entire venue was both elegant and luxurious.

This year’s annual party was more grand than ever. The city’s famous celebrities and stars were all invited. It was for this reason that Marina Lane chose this day to prove her innocence.

She wanted everyone to see the corners of Susanna Lane’s mouth!

Marina Lane wore a long formal dress, deliberately covering the areas of her body where there were bruises. Although she wore only minimal makeup, she was still stunning.

She was naturally beautiful, and with a little makeup, she resembled a fairy descended from heaven.

But now, news of her prostitution is everywhere. The more beautiful she is, the more it arouses speculation.

Sure enough, as soon as she appeared, everyone surrounded her.

Marina Lane stood straight, fists clenched, and said slowly, “Stop talking nonsense. I’ve found evidence that you tried to frame me!”

After saying that, she immediately showed everyone the video taken by that man.

The man in the video explained in great detail how things happened, including how Susanna Lane threatened him into giving false testimony.

After watching the video, everyone turned their eyes toward Susanna Lane, as if expecting her to give an explanation.

“The sister framing her own sister—that’s quite a dramatic scene.”

“I don’t believe Sister Susanna would do such a thing. It must be Marina Lane who’s behind this.”

“That’s not necessarily true. The evidence is right in front of us now, so everything is quite clear.”

Opinions vary, and everyone is trying to figure out what really happened.

A look of panic flashed in Susanna Lane’s eyes. Her brain worked at full speed. After a moment, she pointed at Marina Lane and demanded angrily, “Isn’t this Manager Zhang, the one who gave you a hundred thousand? I didn’t expect you to get him under your control so quickly. And you even made him give false testimony on your behalf!”

Upon hearing this, everyone looked as if they had suddenly understood something. They then turned their attention back to Marina Rain.

Marina Lane certainly didn’t expect her to turn the tables on her. She quickly retorted, “You need evidence to back up your claims. You’re talking nonsense. I’ll sue you for slander!”

“What more evidence do we need? Look at your seductive ways. What else would you know how to do, besides seducing men?” Susanna Ryan snapped angrily.

As soon as she finished speaking, the people around her began to point at her and shout insults at her.

They simply don’t care about the truth at all; they only believe what they want to believe.

These people’s filthy words echoed in her mind like a curse. Marina Rain felt a severe headache and her body trembled uncontrollably.

Just when she felt desperate, her phone suddenly rang. She took it out and saw that it was a video sent by Will Jody.

Marina Lane saw what was in the video clearly. Suddenly, she felt more confident. A smile appeared on her lips. “You refused to admit it before, didn’t you? Today, I’ll make you understand for good!”

She held the video high in the air and turned the volume up to maximum.

In the video, Susanna Lane handed the man a check and said slowly, “As long as you agree to testify that Marina Lane was engaged in prostitution, all this money will be yours, and your mother will be saved.”

The man hesitated at first, but in the end, he took the check and nodded in agreement.

When the video ended, Marina Ryan slowly walked up to Susanna Ryan and said, word by word, “What more do you have to say?”

Susanna Lane tried to reach for the phone, but Marina Lane dodged her move nimbly. Susanna missed completely, feeling dazed. She muttered, “No way. There were only the two of us there. Who took this video?”

“So you’re admitting it now?” Marina Rain glared at her, demanding an answer in anger.

Upon hearing this, Susanna Lane realized she had said the wrong thing. She quickly corrected herself, “This video isn’t real at all. You must have done something to manipulate it. What’s your motive? Why would you want to harm me?”

Marina Lane crossed her arms across her chest and watched her performance calmly. “Everyone can see clearly what’s happening. It’s pointless for you to say anything now. Besides, you’ve already said too much. I advise you to stop struggling in vain.”

Obviously, after watching that video, the onlookers wouldn’t believe what Susanna Lane said either. Although they had blindly followed her before, they could now tell who was lying.

Susanna Lane was furious, staring at her with hatred, but she couldn’t say a single word in retaliation.

“Don’t ever try to impose your filthy thoughts on me again!” Marina Lane said coldly before turning around and leaving.

Now that she’s completely proven her innocence, she feels much more relieved.

After leaving the banquet hall, she saw Will Jody, dressed in a custom-made suit, leaning elegantly against the car, gazing at her with deep affection.

The warm sunlight shone on him, making his face appear even more perfect. He was simply breathtakingly handsome.

Marina Lane’s eyelashes trembled slightly. Her heart beat faster as she approached him nervously. “Thank you so much this time. I really wouldn’t have known what to do otherwise.”

It felt like the whole world was against her, but suddenly, a prince charming stood firmly by her side.

Will Jodi’s pupils constricted slightly. He said smoothly, “Let’s get married!”

Marina Lane suddenly looked up, meeting Will Jody’s sincere gaze. Unable to say no anymore, she nodded involuntarily.

But then, suddenly remembering something, he quickly asked, “But I don’t have my household registration book with me…”

Before he could finish speaking, Will Jody quickly said, “I’ll send someone to your apartment to get it right now. The two of us should go to the civil affairs office first.”

This man was moving things along far too quickly. Marina Lane felt panicked, suddenly realizing that she might have been deceived.

Before she could even react, Will Jody had already pulled her into the car. He sped the car to the civil affairs office. Once assistant Yv Wilson brought the household registration book, the two got married.

In front of the Civil Affairs Bureau.

Marina Lane looked at her marriage certificate, feeling mixed emotions. But the thought of not having to marry that devil brought her immense relief.

“I still have a lot of things to take care of. If there’s nothing else, I’ll be leaving now.”

“If there’s anything you need help with, just give me a call. No need to be polite. After all, we’re husband and wife now, aren’t we?” Will Jody raised his eyebrows slightly, unable to hide his joy.

Marina Lane couldn’t meet his intense gaze. She shyly turned her head away. “I can do it myself.”

After saying that, he quickly fled.

Iv Wilson, who was standing nearby, frowned and couldn’t help but remind him, “Young Master Jody, how can you just get a marriage certificate like that? If Master finds out…”

Before he could finish speaking, Will Jody lost his faint smile and said coldly, “Mind your own business.”
