Chapter 8

“Yes.” Yves Wilson waved his hand and signaled to the bodyguard behind him.

The bodyguards quickly led the man out of the room. Whimpers could be heard nearby: “It’s not my fault. That woman told me to do it. Please, let me go.”

Will Jody raised his eyebrows slightly, his eagle-like eyes fixed on Susanna Lane.

Susanna Lane’s pupils dilated. She stepped back several steps, asking in panic, “Who, who are you?”

It’s obvious that this man is after Marina Rain. His intentions are clear. Could it be that he knows Marina Rain?

“Marina Lane’s husband,” said Will Jody coldly.

Upon hearing this, Susanna Lane was shocked. Her cheeks twitched slightly. Realizing something, she said sarcastically, “I really don’t know how you could like her. Do you even know that she’s a prostitute?”

I thought Marina Lane’s claim that she was married was just an excuse, but to my surprise, it was true. And what’s more, her husband is actually quite handsome…

Will Jody glared at her fiercely and said, word by word, “The truth has come to light. If you dare to talk nonsense anymore, I’ll throw you into the sea to feed the fish!”

The man’s voice was icy-cold, as if it came from the Arctic glaciers.

Susanna Lane was momentarily stunned. Just as she wanted to say something else, Will Jody roared, “Get lost from here!”

Yvonne Wilson stepped forward two steps at that moment, as if to signal that if she didn’t move now, he might resort to physical action.

“Marina Ryan, this isn’t over yet. We’ll see what happens!” Susanna Ryan felt a shiver run through her. She glanced at Marina Ryan lying on the bed, then left the private room reluctantly.

As I passed by Will Jody, I felt his powerful aura. Instantly, I started walking faster.

After they left, the room immediately became quiet.

Yves Wilson frowned slightly and asked softly, “Young Master Jody, what should we do now?”

“Go out first,” Will Jody said calmly.

“What?” Yves Wilson widened his eyes in disbelief.

Shouldn’t he hurry back to be with those clients at this moment? What is Young Master Jody doing here?

He thought for a moment and immediately realized that things weren’t looking good. Could it be that Young Master Jody had developed feelings for her?

Will Jodi’s pupils constricted slightly as he spoke softly, “Tell them I have something urgent to take care of and that we can discuss it another day.”

“Young Master Jody…”

“Go quickly.”

Yves Wilson sighed helplessly, then left the room.

Will Jody sat down by the bed. Marina Lane, who was lying there, had a beautiful face with delicate features. Her curled eyelashes spread out like velvet. She was simply breathtakingly beautiful.

He couldn’t help but reach out to touch her face. But just as his hand was about to touch her, she suddenly frowned, clearly about to wake up.

At that moment, Will Jody quickly turned off the light, and the private room was instantly plunged into darkness.

Marina Lane slowly woke up. Everything around her was dark. Through the moonlight, she could faintly make out a figure.

Before she could take a closer look, a sharp pain shot through her head. She couldn’t help but let out a muffled cry.

“Are you awake?” Will Jody asked in a low voice.

Marina Lane was suddenly startled. She clutched the blanket and curled up at the foot of the bed, becoming alert.

She remembered that when she left the Raine family’s villa, she was beaten up. When she woke up, she found herself in a strange room, with a man standing in front of her.

It’s hard not to think that her father sent her back to that devil’s bed once again…

“You, don’t come over. We can discuss this properly.” Marina Rain’s nerves immediately tensed up, and her voice trembled slightly as she spoke.

Will Jody’s eyes sparkled with intensity, and a smile played on his lips. He quickly took off his jacket and pressed Marina Lane against him.

The bodies of the two people were pressed tightly together. The man’s breath surrounded her, and it seemed as though she could even hear the strong beat of his heart.

Marina Lane immediately became nervous. She pushed the man’s chest with her hand and said hurriedly, “I’m already married. Are you trying to force me to be a woman with two husbands?”

She just wanted to take a gamble. No man would allow such a thing to happen. Maybe he’d let her go then.

A cold glint flashed in Will Jody’s eyes as he asked, “You’re not trying to deceive me, are you? Just marrying someone at random to get me off your back?”

“No, I really like him. We share mutual feelings for each other,” Marina Lane replied quickly, her eyelashes trembling slightly.

Although he knew she had said those words in a moment of panic, Will Jody couldn’t help but feel pleased.

He descended upon her, his face getting closer and closer. Marina Lane was so frightened that she tried to dodge. But to her surprise, the man simply placed a warm kiss on her forehead.

Before she could react, the man had already turned and left.

Marina Lane sat up, completely confused, not understanding what Satan meant.

After she left the club, she saw a black Maybach parked at the entrance.

The car door suddenly opened, and Will Jody got out of the car slowly.

He was dressed in a custom-made suit, with his hair neatly combed back from his face. His thin lips were tightly pressed together, giving off an imposing aura.

“You… how come you’re here?” Marina Rain was taken aback and asked in surprise.

Will Jody had deep-set eyes as he simply said coldly, “Get in the car.”

Although it’s just two short words, they carry an unmistakable tone of certainty.

It was getting late, and it wasn’t very convenient to take a taxi here. After much consideration, Marina Lane decided to get into the car anyway.

Marina Lane simply thought he was just passing by and didn’t give it much thought.

The two of them sat in the back row, very close to each other. She tilted her head slightly and glanced at Will Jody carefully.

His gaze was cold, giving off an impression that it was best to keep one’s distance from him.

Will Jody turned around abruptly. Their eyes met. The man’s breath hit her face, causing Marina Lane to shiver inwardly.

This aura seems familiar. It’s somewhat similar to Satan’s.

But then I thought again, there probably isn’t such coincidence in the world. Maybe she was overthinking things.

Will Jody had deep-set eyes. He asked deliberately, “What brought you here today?”

The two of them have already gotten married, but Marina Lane showing up at the club in the middle of the night surely makes people wonder what’s going on.

Thinking of this, Marina Lane quickly shook her head and tried to explain, “It’s not like you think. I was sent back to that devil’s bed by my father once again. Although I managed to get away, it seems I’ve also offended him.”

“By what you’re saying, he definitely won’t let you go.” Will Jody pretended not to know anything and went along with her reasoning.

Marina Lane frowned slightly and said seriously, “I told him I was married. But no one would believe such a thing easily. He’s ruthless. There’s a high chance he’ll come after you.”

“Have a child with me,” Will Jody said, his eyes deep and serious as he made the proposal.

“What did you say?” Marina Rain’s pupils dilated in shock, unable to believe what she heard.

“The children are the proof that we’re truly married now. There’s no reason for them to keep troubling you anymore,” Will Jody said calmly.
