Chapter 6 The Iron Gauntlet—Complete Eradication
Day Two.
With Duke, The Iron Gauntlet, and numerous forces affiliated with the Gregory family working together, L City was practically turned inside out.
But Victor and his group seemed to have vanished into thin air—not a trace of news.
Day Three.
L City had been stirred up by the major forces, leaving everyone on edge.
Atlas was just an ordinary citizen of L City. He left for work as usual this morning.
It was only a 2-mile journey from home to his office, but within those 2 miles, he was stopped by the Gregory family's people and The Iron Gauntlet's people one after another, checked a total of seven times!
His situation was far from unique. The Gregory family's methods had already caused huge disruptions to L City's ordinary citizens.
But even though they were filled with dissatisfaction toward Duke, intimidated by Duke's power, they could only swallow their bitterness and dare not speak out against any of it.
Sunday Bar.
Several men were drinking in frustration, complaining to each other.
"Damn Victor! Couldn't he have just died earlier?"
"Fuck! My mom's old illness suddenly came back today, and it was critical. I was taking her to the hospital and got stopped nine times on the way! Damn Victor, this is all his fault!"
A bearded man vented his dissatisfaction. "The Gregory family isn't any better! What gives him the right to do this?"
His companion immediately tried to stop him. "Shh, keep your voice down. This place is full of Duke's informants. If they hear what you're saying, you're done for!"
The bearded man didn't care. "What? Am I wrong? Hasn't the Gregory family squeezed L City enough over the years? Anyway, I'm on Victor's side. Even if I really had information about Victor, I'd never snitch to the Gregory family!"
As soon as he finished speaking, his companion's face turned deathly pale.
"What's wrong?"
The bearded man froze, sensing something was off.
He turned around to find a group of people standing right behind him.
Every one of them looked fierce and menacing. They had identical tattoos on their arms.
From the tattoos, you could tell their identity at a glance.
The Iron Gauntlet!
They were from The Iron Gauntlet!
The bearded man's heart jumped, panic flashing across his face.
The next second, his neck was grabbed in a death grip.
"What did you just say?"
The Iron Gauntlet squad leader's eyes were vicious as he glared at the bearded man's face. "Say it again!"
"I... ugh... don't..."
With his neck being choked, the suffocating sensation of death instantly surrounded him.
His face turned bright red as he struggled to beg for mercy. "...Let... let me... go..."
The Iron Gauntlet squad leader pulled out a dagger and pressed it against the bearded man's heart.
This scene really scared the bearded man's friends, who all rushed to plead for him.
"Sir! Don't! He didn't mean it that way!"
"Sir, please let him go."
But the Iron Gauntlet had always been ruthless.
How could they easily let the bearded man go?
The Iron Gauntlet member's eyes turned cold, and his dagger was about to pierce the bearded man's heart.
But just then!
A cold flash of light streaked by.
A dagger suddenly flew from the side.
The dagger flew past the bearded man's chest and embedded itself in the bar counter.
The tremendous force made the handle still tremble slightly.
This happened so fast that everyone's attention was focused on that dagger.
So much so that no one paid attention to what had actually happened.
Until...
The Iron Gauntlet squad leader let out a heart-wrenching scream, and only then did everyone react, shifting their gaze to him.
They saw with shock that the hand the Iron Gauntlet squad leader had been holding the knife with... was gone!
Blood gushed out like a fountain, splashing all over the bearded man.
It turned out that just as he was about to kill the bearded man, the dagger had cut off his hand directly.
It was so fast that he didn't even feel the pain.
"Ahh—"
"My hand!"
"Ahh—"
The intense pain arrived belatedly.
The Iron Gauntlet squad leader fell backward in agony, caught by a group of Iron Gauntlet members.
Everyone looked in unison toward the direction the dagger had come from.
There stood Victor in a cold, proud trench coat, with seven or eight people, standing icily at the bar entrance.
"It's... It's Victor!"
"Oh! My god! The whole city is looking for him, and he still dares to show himself?"
"Run, they're about to fight!"
The crowd in the bar scattered.
The bearded man gave Victor a grateful look and quickly left with his companions' support.
The Iron Gauntlet squad leader's eyes were bloodshot. "Victor! You rat from the gutter, you finally dare to come out?"
Victor's face was expressionless. "Yeah! Louis came to me in a dream yesterday and told me he's lonely in hell, so today I'm sending you all to see him!"
"Hmph!"
The Iron Gauntlet squad leader glanced at the few people Victor had brought and sneered. "Just with you few?"
But Victor shook his head. "No!"
This answer made the Iron Gauntlet squad leader pause, and he began to look around cautiously. "Are there helpers hiding in the shadows?"
Victor walked down the bar steps, his voice cold as ice.
"No need to look. There's no one else. What I meant was, they won't lift a finger. You all... I'll handle alone!"
Hearing this, everyone around showed shocked expressions.
The temporary squad leader of The Iron Gauntlet even laughed mockingly. "What did you say? You alone? Taking on all of us? Haha, Victor, you're really too..."
Before he could finish, a line of blood appeared on his neck!
Victor moved incredibly fast, slashing his throat with one stroke.
The Iron Gauntlet squad leader closed his eyes in shock, his face filled with disbelief.
The other Iron Gauntlet members immediately reached for their guns.
But Victor had already closed in!
Within 10 feet, no one was faster than Victor!
The dagger in his hand flashed with cold light again and again.
Each flash of cold light inevitably took a life.
Some had just pulled out their guns when Victor's dagger cut off their hands.
Blood splattered everywhere, screams came one after another, rising and falling.
Victor was surrounded by dozens of people.
When the last Iron Gauntlet member fell, Victor had become a "blood man"!
The blood on his body had caked, but his two eyes shone frighteningly bright!
Victor dropped the now-dulled dagger in his hand and looked at the people around him.
"Tell the Gregory family for me—The Iron Gauntlet today will be their tomorrow!"
Everyone was so scared by Victor's blood-soaked appearance that they kept backing away.
Victor wiped the blood from his hands and calmly walked out of the bar, as if he were just a customer who had come to the bar for a drink.
It wasn't until his figure completely disappeared outside the door that the inside of the bar erupted in an uproar.
"My god! Is he even human?"
