Chapter 7 Battle Against The Three-Eyed Demon Bear

Hearing what the Dragon Emperor had said, Ren Ji took a deep breath. Now, standing before him, the three-eyed demon bear stood tall, its gigantic body nearly as tall as two full-grown human trees.

The red eye on its forehead glowed menacingly, and a pitch-black aura continued to radiate from its body. Its scent was exactly like that of a rotting rat.

Suddenly, the demon bear roared, shaking the entire forest; the ground trembled, and leaves fell from the trees. Then the colossal creature took a step forward. “You will die by my hand, young man!”

Ren Ji took two steps back; the bear’s movements were too fast for a monster of that size. “Are you sure you can?”

Its giant claws slammed into the ground, sending massive cracks spreading in all directions.

Seeing this, Ren Ji immediately leaped to the side. However, before he could land properly, the bear’s tail suddenly swept in from the side.

Ren Ji’s body was hurled dozens of meters, slamming into a massive tree trunk and snapping it in two. “Damn.”

Blood trickled from the corner of his mouth; his chest felt tight. Ren Ji roughly wiped the blood from his lips. “Just one attack and it’s already this powerful.”

“Get up! If you stop now, you’ll die!” the Dragon Emperor barked.

Ren Ji rubbed his chest, which still felt tight, and his eyes regained their sharpness. “I haven’t lost yet.”

The spiritual aura within his body began to swirl.

The demon bear grinned. “You’re pretty stubborn for such a weak human!”

“And you talk a lot for a monster.”

Hearing what Ren Ji said, the bear’s eyes immediately flashed with fury. “How dare you!”

An explosive sound rang out, and at the same moment, the black mist surrounding them erupted once more; dozens of claw-like shadows appeared in the air, all lunging toward Ren Ji.

Ren Ji immediately spun around and instantly circulated his Spiritual Qi throughout his body. He jumped and rolled to dodge. However, there were simply too many attacks. One of the energy claws managed to tear into his shoulder, and blood began to flow.

The bear laughed smugly. “Humans are still just humans.”

However, Ren Ji suddenly stopped retreating and raised his right hand. A small black vortex appeared in his palm. The Sky-Devouring Technique began to spin.

“What’s that?” For the first time, the bear’s expression changed.

Ren Ji didn’t answer; he charged forward immediately.

The bear swung its claws.

But this time, Ren Ji didn’t dodge. His hand caught the monster’s claw. “What?”

The monster’s face changed drastically; its energy began to be sucked out bit by bit. “What are you doing?”

Ren Ji grinned as he felt a warm flow of energy enter his body; his previously empty meridians began to fill, and the pain from his wounds subsided. His eyes shone. “So this is… the Sky-Devouring Technique.”

Hearing this, the demon bear went berserk; it slammed Ren Ji’s body with its other paw, sending the young man flying.

However, Ren Ji smiled. Because the bear’s energy could actually be absorbed.

“Damn human!” The third eye on the bear’s forehead began to glow, and a blood-red aura gathered there.

Seeing this, Ren Ji’s heart immediately began to pound—great danger loomed.

“Watch out, that’s its most powerful attack!” shouted the Dragon Emperor.

A dense red beam shot from the monster’s third eye; everything in its path was destroyed—trees exploded, and rocks turned to dust.

Ren Ji leaped to the side. However, the beam was too fast. A massive explosion occurred; Ren Ji’s body was hurled through the air and rolled on the ground three times. His injuries grew worse; his clothes were torn, and his body was covered in blood.

The bear walked closer slowly. “Now you’re definitely going to die!”

Ren Ji tried to get up, but his legs were shaking, and his energy was nearly depleted.

Just then, the Dragon Emperor’s voice rang out again, this time more serious than before. “My child, look at its third eye.”

Ren Ji immediately fixed his gaze on the red eye on the demon bear’s forehead. Now he understood that to win, he had to destroy that eye. But how? His body was already nearing its limit.

As the bear raised its claw once more, ready to end Ren Ji’s life,

Suddenly, Ren Ji’s body floated away—the Dragon Emperor had taken control. His movements were almost invisible, enraging the bear.

“So you’ve finally shown yourself!” said the bear, his gaze burning even redder.

“Even though I am no longer here, that human you call weak will become strong,” the Dragon Emperor’s voice sounded cold and full of power.

“I will not let that child inherit your knowledge because he is a weak human.”

“That’s none of your business. Now, prepare to die!” shouted the Dragon Emperor.

A fierce battle ensued, even though it was Ren Ji’s body. However, it was the Dragon Emperor who was actively fighting.

At the same time, far beyond the Forbidden Mountain, Elder Mo and several elite disciples had entered the forest. They sensed a massive wave of energy coming from the direction of the battle.

Elder Mo’s expression turned serious. “Hurry up—is something happening over there?”

“Elder Mo, this isn’t an ordinary fight—it’s shaking the very ground beneath our feet,” said one of the elite disciples.

“That’s my hunch too. Let’s go see what’s happening over there; who knows, we might find Ren Ji. Stay alert!” Elder Mo told his disciples.

They walked toward the sound of the fight, which was now growing closer. The sound became clearer.

Meanwhile, deep in the forest, Ren Ji tried to break free from the Dragon Emperor’s control as his strength began to return. “Let me handle this.”

“You’re already injured—don’t go dying like a fool!” shouted the Dragon Emperor.

“Give me a chance,” said Ren Ji.

Ren Ji took a step back and swung his arm toward the three eyes on the bear’s forehead. However, the bear managed to dodge the blow and grabbed his shoulder.

“You’ll die by my hand, you worthless brat!” roared the demon bear.

As he tried to dodge, he was too slow. The three-eyed demon bear’s giant claws began to come down toward Ren Ji’s head.
