Chapter 3

Inside the banquet hall.

A scene of noise and commotion.

The Taylor family members stood to one side, with people constantly coming over to offer congratulations.

Daniel's face showed delight as he looked toward the backstage, already envisioning the future in his mind.

Jace's subordinates, plus his group of fair-weather friends, as well as heads of third-tier and below families from Novaria, all showed up, hoping to network with some influential people on this occasion.

After all, everyone in Novaria now knew that behind Jace stood the Garcia family, a near first-tier family of Novaria!

According to rumors, the Garcia family had already established business dealings with the Brown family from Eldoria, and might very well surpass the Adams family to become a first-tier family in Novaria.

Today was Jace's wedding, and the Garcia family would definitely send representatives.

By then, if they could connect with the Garcia family, these third-tier families might actually succeed in their social climbing and enter the ranks of second-tier families.

Melodious music echoed continuously throughout the hall.

At the entrance.

William led three subordinates but was stopped by two security guards.

"Sir, please show your invitation!"

"No invitation. If you want to live, get out of the way!" Mellivora stepped forward, brows tightly furrowed, shouting sharply.

The Blood Prison was responsible for protecting America's peace and stability, and only killed those who deserved to be killed.

Hotel security guards were not on the list of those to be killed.

Of course.

Unless they were asking for it.

The two security guards' hearts trembled.

Looking at the man in the black trench coat before them, one of them quickly retreated.

But the other mustered his courage and continued blocking the three people, "Let me tell you, today is the happy day of our hotel owner Mr. Turner. You want to cause trouble here—do you really have a death wish?"

William frowned again, "You're saying this hotel belongs to Jace?"

Pride showed on the security guard's face, "Scared now? It's still not too late to get lost. Also, our Mr. Turner's name is not something a punk like you..."

Before the security guard could finish speaking, Fox suddenly stepped forward and punched the guard in the abdomen.

The security guard spat out blood, his body flying two meters away.

"Disrespecting the King of Killers—you're asking for death!"

Seeing this, the other security guard quickly turned around and ran frantically into the banquet hall, "This is bad, someone's been killed! Come quick, someone's causing trouble!"

Inside the banquet hall, everyone instantly fell silent.

All eyes turned toward the entrance.

Daniel's heart tightened, his face filled with anger, "Heath, go see what's going on. Today is Mr. Turner and Emily's wedding day—we can't let anyone disturb it!"

Hearing this, Heath turned and waved to the Taylor family bodyguards, "Follow me!"

At the same time, the hotel's other security guards also quickly assembled and rushed toward the banquet hall entrance under the leadership of security captain Maniac.

William stepped over the body of the earlier security guard and entered the banquet hall.

Seeing the dozen or so people charging toward him, he only glanced at them briefly before finally settling his gaze on Heath, who bore some resemblance to Emily, "What's your relationship to Emily?"

Heath looked at the four people before him, finally settling his gaze on William, his face full of arrogance, saying disdainfully, "Who are you? Let me tell you, today is Emily and Mr. Turner's happy day. If you know what's good for you, kneel down obediently and await Mr. Turner's judgment. Otherwise, I'll make sure you die without a burial place!"

By this time, Maniac had led the hotel security guards to completely surround William and his group.

As Jace's right-hand man, Maniac and his subordinates had committed plenty of crimes over the years.

With Jace covering for them, they didn't dare provoke families above second-tier.

But even third-tier families in Novaria, they didn't take seriously.

Let alone these four unfamiliar people before them.

"Why waste words with them? Everyone attack together. Kill two of them first—consider it a wedding gift for Mr. Turner." At Maniac's command, several fearless subordinates behind him grabbed electric batons and charged forward.

William paid no attention. He simply walked steadily toward Heath.

Mellivora and Hound, however, lunged left and right at the group of reckless security guards.

Fox followed closely behind William, ready to protect William's safety at any moment.

Before Heath could give orders to his subordinates, he saw that in less than five seconds, seven of Maniac's men had fallen in pools of blood.

These people probably never figured out how they lost their lives, even in death.

Tremendous fear quickly enveloped Heath.

Watching William's unchanging expression as he pressed forward step by step, Heath hurriedly retreated, saying in a trembling voice, "Don't come any closer. Let me tell you, Mr. Turner is right behind us. If you dare lay a hand on me, our Taylor family and Mr. Turner will never forgive you!"

Before he finished speaking, William's hand was already on Heath's neck.

"Tell me, what's your relationship to Emily? Where is Emily now?" William's voice wasn't loud, but it carried tremendous force.

As his fingers continued to tighten, Heath's face had already lost all color.

"I'm Emily's brother. Let go!"

At this moment, William didn't know about the Taylor family's terrible treatment of Emily.

Hearing Heath state his relationship with Emily, William released his grip, "Take me to see Emily!"

Heath bent over, the suffocation from moments ago making him cough violently.

Finally catching his breath, Heath looked up, glaring viciously at William, "Who are you exactly? What do you want? I'll say this one last time—today is my sister Emily and Mr. Turner's happy day. You've brought people here to cause trouble and disturb Mr. Turner's happy occasion. You want to die, but do you have to drag our Taylor family down with you?"

William sneered, "Mr. Turner? Just a dog. How could he make me die?"

Fine beads of sweat instantly appeared on Heath's forehead.

In Novaria today, who would dare call Jace a dog?

Never mind saying it out loud—no one even dared think it.

"Madman, you're an overconfident madman! Do you know who's behind Mr. Turner? Let me tell you, Mr. Turner is in the dressing room right now with Emily getting ready. You..."

Before Heath could finish, William stepped forward and pushed Heath aside with a light shove.

But at that moment, Layla strode forward.

Seeing the bodies scattered everywhere before her, though fear and unease arose in her heart, thinking that soon Jace and Emily would be married, and then their Taylor family would have Jace's protection, she gained some confidence.

"Stop right there! No wonder Emily was crying her eyes out—turns out she has an adulterer like you on the side!"

William was about to ask the woman's identity.

But Heath quickly stepped forward and grabbed Layla's hand, "Honey, go get father quickly."

Before he finished speaking, Daniel's sharp voice came from ahead, "No need, I'm here!"

William looked forward and saw Daniel in a suit, followed by four muscular bodyguards, with Novaria's elite surrounding him as they approached.
