Chapter 1: Twisted Side Of Me.

## DARK CONTENT AHEAD ##

This isn’t your sweet fairytale.

It contains twisted love, raw lust, broken minds, graphic sexual content, explicit language, brutal men, and dangerous obsession.

If you're sensitive to violence, non-consent, trauma, or dark psychological themes proceed with caution.

You’ve been warned.

Katarina POV

They say you can pinpoint the exact moment your life splits in two…before and after.

For me, it was 11 PM on a Friday night at the Velvet Rose nightclub.

That's when I walked through the wrong door and straight into the arms of a man who would either save me or destroy me.

I still don't know which.

………………………………………

The moment I stepped inside, I regretted it.

“Selena begged me to come….said the Don’s men tipped big… She was wrong.”

The air was thick with sweat, smoke, and too many bodies pressed too close to each other. The music didn't just play, it was pounding through my ribs like a second heartbeat.

I couldn't breathe well.

"Kat, you good?" Selena, my bestie, shouted over the bass, her glitter makeup catching the strobe lights. She was already dancing, lost in the party but I wasn't.

"Yeah. I just need some air," I lied, my voice was thin, overshadowed by the noise.

She caught the look on my face….the one that said I'm drowning… and nodded. "Take five Bubba. I'll be right here."

I quickly slipped away before she could see me panic.

The hallway was way quieter. The music turned to muffled thumps behind thick walls and the cool air hit my neck. I exhaled for what felt like the first time in an hour.

Just a minute. Then I'll go back and dance my ass off.

At the end of the hall, a door was slightly open. There was no sign. No bouncer. Just darkness and an invitation to where I could sit for a minute.

I pushed it open, thinking it was a bathroom or maybe a back exit.

It wasn't.

The door clicked shut behind me immediately.

And a voice so loud it made the bass at the party sound like a joke spoke.

"You're late."

I froze for a moment….. " Someone was here.”

A man stood across the room. He was tall, sharp-jawed, with dark hair slicked back. His eyes looked at me as if i just committed a crime.

"I…I didn't… mean.."

But he was already moving toward me. And God, he was fast

"You don't keep the Don waiting," he growled louder this time.

The slap came next before I could react.

Pain exploded across my cheek. My head snapped sideways. I stumbled back, tasting copper.

"What…The Hell…?!"

"You're late." His voice was colder. "And the Don hates waiting."

My brain scrambled. What is he talking about? Who's the Don? Why does he think I'm supposed to be here?

I tried to speak, but the words tangled in my throat… "I think..k… There is a mistake...im here with my friend…" But he ignored me

Behind him, I saw them…a row of girls sitting like mannequins.

They wore tight dresses that barely covered anything. Their lips were painted red and their Legs crossed with eyes blank of any emotion.

They didn't say anything. They just watched me…Like I just made the stupidest mistake in my life, and I didn't understand yet.

That's when I saw the gun tucked into the man's belt.

My stomach dropped.

This isn't just a mistake. This was dangerous.

"Please, I think I'm in the wrong room…I can leave as quietly as I came."

"Don't play innocent." He grabbed my arm, his grip bruising. "..You were supposed to be here earlier…The Don is waiting. Move before I shoot you."

He shoved me forward.

My legs moved..not because I wanted them to, but because fear took over.

At the far end of the room sat a man at a table.

He didn't stand. He didn't need to.

He had Green eyes with two bodyguards flanking him with guns clearly visible.

This was the Don… The one they claimed I was supposed to meet

And I was being dragged toward him like I was already his.

"Kneel," The Don spoke for the First time..

My knees buckled but not from obedience, but from terror. I dropped to the floor in front of him.

He leaned forward, his elbows on the table, studying me like I was a prize horse.

"Pretty face," he murmured, almost to himself. "Even better body."

A slow smile curved his lips.

"You'll do."

My voice came out broken. "I—I-I'm sorry. …I think you got the wrong person…,I walked into the wrong room. I was just looking for…."

He tilted his head, amused.

"No, sweetheart." His voice was smooth, dangerous. "You're exactly where you're supposed to be."

A chill ran down my spine.

He thinks I'm someone else. Someone who was supposed to be here.

Before I could explain, the man who'd slapped me earlier stepped closer.

"Now show the Don what you've got, and what we paid for," he ordered

I shook my head. “No…. I ..I ..dont know..What”

He stepped closer and grabbed my wrist, looking at my face like he was checking a ticket. For a beat, he didn’t move. Then his eyes went wide…he’d recognized his mistake.

“Shit,” he muttered, close to my ear.

He leaned closer, "You're not her. But if the Don finds out I screwed up..."

His hand moved to his belt. I felt cold metal press against my lower back. "Strip for him. Kiss him. Do whatever he wants. Or we both die tonight." The gun dug deeper. My legs moved on their own.

No. No, no, no. How did I end up in this clown show!!

Fear made my legs shake. I didn’t know what to do… so I kissed him

His lips were cold at first. Then possessive.

One hand grabbed my breast through my dress, rough and claiming. The other gripped my hip, pulling me closer.

I gasped. My nipple slipped from the top of my dress. His thumb rolled over it—slow, deliberate.

His tongue slid into my mouth….claiming, demanding. I should have felt only fear. Only disgust. But my body betrayed me. Heat pooled low in my belly.

My nipples hardened against his palm. A soft, traitorous moan escaped my throat. What the hell is wrong with me

His grip tightened on my hip, and shame burned through me not because of what he was doing, but because part of me didn't want him to stop.

The Don's eyes flickered to the man behind me. Something passed between them.

He knew something was off. But his hand stayed on my breast. His mouth stayed on mine. He was letting it happen. Testing me. Or testing his man.

When he finally pulled back, those green eyes locked onto mine…amused, curious. "Nervous little thing, aren't you?" His thumb traced my swollen bottom lip. "I like that."

Then behind me …the door opened.

Another woman walked in.

She was a bit older, curvier, and she could have passed for me in the dark. She moved like she belonged here.

The man who'd slapped me looked from her to me…Then back at me…and then His eyes widened.

"Wait." His voice turned sharp. "You're not her… you're not the stripper we paid for."

What?

"Get out," the man barked at me, desperate now. "You were never here. You saw nothing. You say nothing. Understand?"

I didn't wait to be told twice.

I turned and ran as fast as my legs could carry.

My heart pounded. My dress barely stayed on. I shoved my breasts back into place, humiliation burning my face.

I didn't stop until I burst through the doors into the main club.

……………….

"Kat!"

Selena's voice cut through the noise. She grabbed my arm, eyes wide with worry.

"Shit, you're shaking. What happened… I've been looking for you?"

"I.." My throat closed. "I need to leave. Now."

She didn't ask questions. She just pulled me toward the exit.

As we stepped outside, the cold night air hit my skin, but it didn't erase what had just happened.

I couldn't stop feeling his hands on me. His mouth. His eyes.

The Mysterious Don.

And the worst part?

A twisted, sick part of me wanted to go back and finish that kiss.

I glanced over my shoulder as we reached the street.

He was now standing in the doorway of the club, watching me leave. He had followed me after I ran,

But now he was smiling. Not annoyed or surprised.

He looked Satisfied.

Like he'd just found his new favorite toy…and he was letting me run for now.

Like he'd just tasted something he wasn't supposed to have..and now he wanted more.

I hadn't escaped.

He'd let me go.

And somehow, I knew I'd see him again.
