Chapter 6 Chapter 6: Find Her.

Chapter 6: Find Her.

Third Party POV-

Dante Ravencrest stood before the floor-to-ceiling window, staring out at the bustling city lights below. Over three weeks had passed since his fateful encounter with the mysterious woman who had saved his life. He had spent that entire time trying to find her—always coming up short. It was as if she had vanished completely. But he knew he couldn’t give up.

Her face… her scent. They replayed in his mind like fragments of a broken dream he was desperate to piece together. He had never felt this way before—never experienced such a gravitational pull toward someone. He yearned for her in a way that felt foreign… and dangerous.

He needed to find her.

Still lost in his thoughts, he didn’t notice Damien enter his office.

“Daydreaming again?”

His tone was laced with humor. Dante slowly turned, his expression hard.

“I hope that ridiculous grin on your face means you’ve brought me good news.”

Damien froze, his smile tightening.

“Well… that depends. If by ‘good news’ you mean I found the girl… then no. I didn’t.”

Dante’ face darkened instantly, and Damien’s composure faltered.

“But! Before you throw me through a wall,” he added quickly, “I did find the asshole who tried to murder you that night.”

Dante paused. For weeks, they had been trying to uncover who poisoned him—and how they knew he would be on that ferry. His

lips slowly curled into a smirk.

“Good. I trust he’s at the warehouse?”

Damien nodded.

“That’s why I came to get you.”

Dante grabbed his suit jacket and headed out with him.

An hour later, their SUV pulled into one of their more… discreet warehouses. Even before stepping inside, Dante could hear the strained, desperate pleas of their guest of honor.

The doors swung open, and the room fell silent as the sharp echo of his expensive boots cut through the space.

At the center of the warehouse sat a man bound in silver-thread restraints and reinforced collars—measures taken to prevent him from shifting. His face was already beaten into a bloody mess.

As Dante approached, he slid on a pair of black gloves.

The man’s face instantly drained of color.

“Good evening, Mr. Holland.”

His voice was calm. Polite. Terrifying.

“I trust you know why you’re here—”

“I don’t! I have no idea! Please—ahhhh!!”

A surge of electricity ripped through the man’s body as Nicolas struck him with an electric baton.

“I suggest you watch your tone when speaking to your Alpha!” Nicolas barked.

Dante Ravencrest—the Alpha of the Sovereign Fang Pack. One of the most feared packs in the entire Central Region. Many called him the ferocious wolf-beast. Even the strongest Alphas hesitated at his name. His army was the peak of legend.

“Mr. Holland…” Dante continued smoothly, unfazed. “My Zeta has a very short tolerance—especially when it comes to liars. So

I’ll ask you again… do you know why you’re here?”

Holland’s body trembled as his gaze flickered toward Nicolas. Tears welled and spilled down his cheeks as he slowly nodded.

Dante’ lips curved.

“Very good. Then we can skip the formalities. Tell me—who hired you to kill me?”

Silence.

Dante stepped closer until he stood directly in front of him. His Alpha aura pressed down like a crushing weight, stealing the air from Holland’s lungs.

“I don’t like repeating myself,” he said coldly. “Who hired you?”

“Alpha! I swear—it wasn’t me—AHHH!!”

The baton struck again. Dante remained silent as he watched the man regain his composure….barely.

“Mr. Holland,” he said, tilting his chin slightly upward as if examining him, “open your mouth.”

Holland froze, confusion flickering across his face.

“M-My… mou—”

“Your mouth,” Dante repeated calmly. “Open it.”

With trembling lips and ragged breaths, Holland obeyed.

In one smooth motion, Dante pulled a wrench from his pocket. Tilting the man’s head back further, he paused—almost thoughtfully.

And then—

CRACK!

“AHHHH!!”

A gurgled scream tore from Holland’s throat as blood flooded his mouth. His body jerked violently before collapsing onto the floor, writhing.

Dante held up the wrench, studying the extracted fang caught between its teeth.

“Did you know,” he said conversationally, “that if your fang is pulled while you’re unable to shift… it will never grow back?”

His tone was calm, as though discussing something trivial. Academic.

“Fascinating… and tragic.”

He crouched beside the man.

“Because you see, Mr. Holland…” he continued softly, “I’m going to keep pulling out your fangs until they’re all gone. And if you ever do shift again… your wolf will be as good as dead.”

Holland’s cries dwindled into broken whimpers. His eyes widened as fear consumed him entirely.

Dante gave him one last measured look.

“Now,” he said, voice low and final, “I’ll ask you again… who hired you?”

Holland shook his head weakly, tears spilling over.

“Okay… okay,” he gasped. “I’ll talk.”

Two hours later, Dante stepped out of the warehouse, Damien, his Beta at his side, followed by Nicolas and two guards. The tension of what had just occurred still clung to the air.

Dante turned to them, his gaze sharp as they waited for instruction.

“Nicolas, send the cleaners. Dispose of Mr. Holland.” His voice was cold, controlled. “Then find out everything you can about this

‘Golden Light’ organization.”

Nicolas dipped his head.

“Will do, Alpha.”

He motioned to the guards, and the three of them headed back toward the base without another word.

A cool wind swept through the open space as Damien stepped closer, shoving his hands into his pockets.

“Now why in the hell would an organization from the East Region want you dead?”

Dante lifted his gaze to the night sky, drawing in a slow breath. The darkness above offered no answers.

“I’m not sure.” His voice was quieter now. “But I want everything you can find on the MoonCrest Pack.”

Damien nodded.

“You got it.”

A pause settled between them before Damien spoke again.

“And the girl?”

Dante stilled.

For a moment, he didn’t answer. His heart picked up, sharp and unsteady in his chest.

“Keep looking,” he said at last. “Pull any footage you can from the ferry that night. She had to go somewhere…right?”

He turned to Damien then. There was something in his eyes—uncertainty, yes, but something deeper beneath it. Something Damien had never seen in him before.

“Yeah,” Damien said slowly. “I imagine she did.”

Dante’s brows drew together.

“She didn’t say anything before she left?”

Damien shook his head.

“Nothing. No name. No where she was from.” He frowned slightly, thinking. “Wouldn’t even let me thank her. Just told me to ‘take care of my friend.’”

He suddenly perked up, raising a finger.

“Oh! She did say she was a healer, but—”

Dante grabbed his shirt, yanking him forward. His eyes burned with sudden fury.

“What? Why the hell didn’t you say that? We could have—”

“Hey, hey—hold your horses, ferocious!” Damien threw his hands up, his tone laced in humor. “Before you rearrange my collar…I was getting to that.”

Dante stilled, his grip tightening for a brief second before loosening.

“I couldn’t find anything linking her to any of the registered healers in Central,” Damien continued, smoothing his shirt.

“However…” He gave Dante a pointed look. “I think she might also be an herbalist.”

Dante released him completely, his tension easing, though his mind was already racing.

“Sorry…about that.”

Damien chuckled, unfazed.

“No worries, Alpha. We’ve been best friends too long. I know you’re socially challenged.”

Dante rolled his eyes as they walked toward the car.

“What makes you think she’s an herbalist?”

They climbed in, and moments later the car sped into the city streets, the engine humming beneath them.

“She used an elixir made from moonleaf to heal you.”

Dante turned his head.

“That plant is extinct.”

Silence fell.

Dante leaned back slightly, his thoughts spiraling. If she had access to something like that…

Then she wasn’t just a healer. She was something far rarer. Something hidden. His chest tightened.

His wolf stirred—then surged awake with sudden, desperate urgency.

We need to find her.

I know.

Her scent—I need it.

Dante’s jaw clenched.

And I need her.

The realization hit him fully then.

He was a warrior. A brute. A ferocious wolf-beast feared across regions.

And yet—

Even he understood what was happening.

He had imprinted.

After all this time…

He had finally found his Luna.
