In the following days, Lynn Newman was once again completely absorbed in the filming crew, with no awareness of what was going on outside.
By the time the filming was over, it was already Saturday night.
After more than half a year of filming, the project was finally completed. Everyone was overjoyed. Director Augustine waved for Lynn Newman to come over. In front of the camera, he pointed out several areas where she could improve her performance. Then he said, “There’s a web series that wants to cast you. The person behind it is a close friend from my college days. Please go back and read the script first, then let me know your decision.”
If the script wasn’t good, Director Augustine wouldn’t have pushed the film himself at the expense of his own reputation. However, Lynn Newman also had her concerns. She’s been active on the big screen, so transitioning to online films was a difficult adjustment for her.

This online blockbuster is adapted from a popular novel. The author vividly depicts the story of a naive little princess who becomes strong and brave after her country and family are destroyed. However, Lynn Newman prefers the second female character’s style of being utterly devoted to love and acting with determination and courage.
This character offers plenty of room for development, and it represents a bold attempt. To be honest, she’s never played a villain before.
Lost in the script, Lynn Newman suddenly heard the doorbell ringing repeatedly. When she opened the door, she saw her agent’s pale face and immediately sensed that something was wrong.
“Several days without seeing you, and I never knew you were engaged! Should I offer my congratulations?” Drew Defoe said sarcastically. He had just taken a few days off, and the least troublesome artist under his supervision somehow caused a huge scandal.
“Lynn Newman, you’re only twenty-six years old now. This is the prime of your life. Do you even understand what it means for a female artist to get married in this industry?” Drew Defoe was frustrated with her. He rushed over as soon as he got off the plane.
He dragged his suitcase into the apartment, then skillfully poured himself a glass of ice water in the kitchen. He drank several large gulps. “Why didn’t you discuss this with me first?”
The key point is that the other party is still one’s own boss.

Originally, he decided to forgive her for announcing their engagement without his permission, considering how ambitious his artist was in her career. But now, hearing that she had resorted to acting in low-budget online movies, he couldn’t help but laugh. “I really don’t get it. How could Berkley possibly be interested in you? You have no vision, no ambition…”
Drew Defoe is notoriously sarcastic, but Lynn Newman isn’t bothered. She smiles and says, “What do you think of this as Newman’s first film she invests in and produces? And what if it were her first time playing a villain? Could that cause a sensation?”
She smiled confidently. “Drew, this will definitely make us famous.”
She won the actress award 2 years ago, but has struggled to make progress in her acting career, unable to break through. The entertainment industry changes too quickly. If she doesn’t work harder, she’ll likely be overtaken by newcomers soon.
Drew Defoe’s eyes lit up. “During this time, I’ll push back all your advertisements and TV shows. When you reappear in front of the public, you’ll have completely transformed once more!”

“I’ll get in touch with Chen Danqing right away.” Drew Defoe was a man of great determination and action. He left in a hurry.

The phone on the table suddenly made a sound.
It was a text message from Julie Berkeley: What time should I pick you up tomorrow?
Upon his reminder, Lynn Newman remembered that tomorrow was the weekend. She quickly typed out: 6 PM.
They replied quickly: “Okay, I’ll pick you up at 6 o’clock tomorrow night.”
An unconscious smile appeared on Lynn Newman’s lips as she glanced out the window. In the distance, clouds drifted gracefully across the clear blue sky.
Maybe tomorrow will be nice weather too.
The next day, it rained heavily with thunder and lightning. The rain continued non-stop from morning until night. Even the news reported that this was a rare downpour in three years.
Julie Berkeley arrived on time. Seeing her beautifully dressed, I couldn’t help but feel impressed. Her D&G corset-style dress accentuated her perfect figure, making her look both sexy and charming.
He had always known that Lynn Newman was extremely beautiful, even surpassing all others in beauty. But every time he saw her in her carefully crafted outfits, she remained breathtakingly beautiful.
