Chapter 5 Oak knows

Misty

"I need more to drink." I said trying to avoid Oaks gaze

"Anything for my bride. Just be back or I'll have to come find you." I quickly hurried off for more punch. There's not enough alcohol in the world to deal with Oak but I just need to make it threw tonight and tomorrow. After that Fang will decide his thrall.

I returned cup in hand drinking it when I see Oak grinding on a girl to the music. "Good he's distracted. Maybe I can fake being drunk in front of my parents and they'll take me home" I muttered to myself. I approached my parents doing my best drunk act "Isn't this drink goood!" I tried to slur my words and to my surprise it worked.

"Oh Misty, you're already drunk. I forget how easily drunk she can get." My mom said irration in her voice "come on dear head to the limo it'll take you home we'll clear things up here." My plan had worked.

"Yes ma'am!" I said trying my best to hide my joy and act drunk. The driver helped me in while I stumbled on the floor of the limo.

Once we arrived home I flew to my balcony and climbed in my bed to sleep. Tomorrow will be a long day.

After class I felt exhausted I had to write a paper on why I wanted to be a thrall. I thought about lying but what was the point and what would I even say? I don't expect statis or riches, and I don't want to be seen as some whore. So I told the truth.

I opened the mansion doors when a hand suddenly grabbed me squeezing my body. I looked up to see who it was and saw none other than Oak. He was in his larger form wrapping his hand around me. "What are you doing let go!"

"So this is what you've been up to. Trying to be a vampires thrall, trying to throw away your inheritance!" He yelled spit flying "how reckless are you! If you become his thrall we can't get married!"

"Exactly, I don't want to marry you Oak, and my inheritance means nothing if it traps me with you."

"You don't understand. This is Lord Fang, if you become his thrall you'll be trapped with that monster."

"He can't be more of a monster then you!"

"You-"

"Do we have a problem here?" Fang interrupted him. He stood there looking intimidating staring down at Oak. He then glanced at me still stuck in Oaks hand and something in his expression made my blood run cold

"I was just talking to my bride."

"Really because from what I saw she is still your fiancée for another week. You should leave before I call security." He kept his gaze glaring at Oak and I could feel Oaks hand starting to sweat.

"Oak let's go, please." Oak nods and flies off shrinking mid flight but not losing his grip on me when he flies threw my castle doors he throws me towards my parents sending me tumbling on the ground.

"Oak what on earth would cause you to throw my daughter in here like that?" My father spat.

"I caught her trying to become a vampires thrall. She would rather be a thrall then marrying me." He started to cry as if I actually hurt him, but I knew better then to fall for them crocodile tears.

"Misty! How could you!" My mother yelled like i was the monster. I would explain myself but I've learned a long time ago that my side never matters.

"Gaurds lock her in her room until her wedding day." My dad yelled.

"Wait dad! Please don't do this, I just have one more class-"

"I'm not letting you throw your life away because your too petty." Guards came up and dragged me to my room once I entered the door locked behind me, I went to my balcony but they locked it already. I was trapped.
