Reg Butler didn’t dare hope for anything from the goddess, so he decided to go for a walk by the school’s artificial lake. He wanted to erase all memories of Eileen Ford from his mind.
Even as a man… it’s worth shedding tears with dignity. That’s how one can truly honor one’s youth!
When Reg Butler approached the artificial lake, he suddenly saw two dark figures dragging a girl towards the small woods beside the lake.
“Let me go, please let me go! I beg you!”
The girl’s voice was hoarse from shouting so loudly, but the two figures still pulled her towards the grove, ignoring her cries.
“You little brat, I’ll show you what we’re really capable of in a moment.”
“Hehe, you always seem so flirtatious. I never thought you’d feel so smooth to the touch!”
The two shadows grinned and laughed, while continuously dragging the girl towards the woods.
“Let go of that girl!”
Reg Butler let out a furious shout as he arrived at the scene.
“Where the hell did you come from, brat? How dare you meddle in my affairs?”
At that moment, thanks to the faint moonlight, Reg Butler saw a familiar face. “Dawn ?”
“Reg Butler?”
The two met eyes, and the next moment, Dawn Blye laughed outright.
“Hey, I’ve been looking for you all afternoon. Who would’ve thought you’d just show up on your own? So, how’s it feel to have green hair?”
“Please save me, save me!”
The girl being dragged covered her chest, where her clothes were torn, with both hands. Her long hair covered her entire face, so Reg Butler couldn’t see her true features.
“Get lost right now, or I’ll make sure you pay for this!”
“Get lost?”
Dawn frowned, then looked at Reg Butler with a very sympathetic gaze.
“Kid, you’re tired of living, aren’t you? You’re the first person who dares to tell me to get lost!”
As she spoke, Dawn rubbed her fists, her gaze dark as she stared at Reg Butler.
“Now, I give you two choices. First, act like you didn’t see anything and just shut up and get lost. Second, watch us play. Maybe, after we’re done, I’ll give you a chance!”
While speaking, the other person set the girl down and walked toward Reg Butler.
“I said, let go of that girl!”
Reg Butler took a step back, watching the two of them approach. His hand slowly moved toward the thermos cup he was carrying on his back.
“Damn it, I think you’re looking for death!”
Dawn Breckling snorted in disdain and rushed forward, ready to strike.
Pfft!
Just then, Reg Butler picked up the thermos cup in his hand and poured a large cup of hot water over Dawn .
The scalding hot water poured onto Dawn ’s face, causing her to scream in pain on the spot.
The other person, realizing something was wrong, immediately retreated, avoiding Reg Butler’s hot water. Right after that, a kick was thrown at him.
Reg Butler felt as though the bones in his waist had broken. Ignoring the pain, he managed to spill the hot water from the thermos.
Ah~
After another scream, Dawn Bly and the other person completely collapsed to the ground.
“Run away!”
Reg Butler took the opportunity to get up. Ignoring the pain in his waist, he grabbed the girl and ran swiftly toward the school dormitory building.
After running a few hundred meters and seeing that no one was chasing after them, the two of them finally stopped, gasping for breath.
“Today, thank you!”
The girl adjusted her hair. At that moment, as her hair swung aside, Reg Butler was stunned. “Jacqueline David?”
“Do you know me?”
Reg Butler was stunned. Then, with a wry smile, he said, “Uh… you’re the school’s most popular girl. Who in the entire Deep Sea University doesn’t know you?”
“That’s great. I’ll call the police in a moment. I’m afraid I’ll have to ask you to come with me to the police station.”
Jacqueline David wasn’t panicked at all now. She took out her phone and called the police right away.
In less than ten minutes, a police car stopped in front of the dormitory.
Jacqueline David said a few words, and two police officers walked toward Reg Butler.
“You must be Reg Butler, right? We were actually looking for you earlier as well!”
“Looking for me?”
Reg Butler was stunned.
“Someone at Daxing Internet Cafe reported that several students were fighting with hooligans. We checked the surveillance footage. Your roommate has already confessed. So you must come with us for questioning!”
A police officer spoke in a cold tone, with a hint of authority in his voice.
“Damn it, this is terrible! If I go to the police station, I might get fired!”
Reg Butler’s heart was pounding. After all, the motto of Deep Sea University was quite strict.
Human plans can’t compare to divine providence. Just as Reg Butler hesitated, Jacqueline David stepped forward.
“Officer, I’m sure there must be some misunderstanding here. How about this: My father is the CEO of the Lan Group, and he’s on good terms with your chief…”
Jacqueline David wrote lightly that the two policemen’s attitudes changed significantly on the spot.
“Oh, it’s Miss Lan. With Miss Lan’s guarantee, we trust this young man. When he has time later, he can just go to the police station and fill out the necessary forms.”
Under the leadership of Jacqueline David, Dawn and the other person were captured, as they hadn’t managed to escape near the artificial lake.
With Reg Butler’s testimony, Dawn refused to admit anything, but was still taken away by the police.
The two of them went to make their statements together. It was already very late when they were finally taken back to school by the police car.
“I also need to say thank you!”
Watching the police car drive away in the distance, Reg Butler felt a little embarrassed.
Previously, it was he who saved Jacqueline David. Now, however, Jacqueline David is helping him out of this predicament. If he really goes to the police station, there’s no way he can clear his name, no matter what he does.
“This is nowhere near enough to repay your life-saving kindness!”
Jacqueline David flicked her hair aside, her bright eyes fixed intently on Reg Butler.
“By the way, do you have time tomorrow? I’d like to take you out to dinner as a way to formally thank you!”
“Take me out to dinner?”
Reg Butler looked at Jacqueline David with a mixture of surprise and disbelief. He simply couldn’t believe his ears.
“Alright, let’s meet at the Haitian Hotel tomorrow!”
After saying that, Jacqueline David slowly walked toward the dormitory building, leaving Reg Butler behind, looking completely confused.
He just couldn’t figure out how Jacqueline David could actually offer to take him out to dinner on her own.
“Never mind, stop thinking about it. They just want to return a favor to you!”
Reg Butler shook his head, smiled bitterly to himself, and went back to his dormitory.
“Lao Si, you don’t need to say anything. We already know everything!”
“Alas, we told you from the start that Eileen Ford wasn’t someone to trust. But you wouldn’t listen!”
“You don’t need to be sad either. We’re only in our junior year now. There are plenty of nice girls out there. As long as you’re strong-willed and willing to stay single for a while, you’ll eventually get used to it.”

The three of them really made Reg Butler want to curse.
“Go away, leave me alone. I’m very tired and want to rest!”
After saying that, he pushed the three people aside and climbed onto the bed.
“Never mind, poor guy. A man who’s been hurt by love should cry, cry his heart out!”
About ten minutes later, suddenly, the second one jumped up abruptly.
“Wow, aren’t those two Vik Connor, that famous rich second-generation noble from our school?”
“Who? Vic Connor? And why is there a naked woman with him?”
