|| LUCIUS DE ROSSI's POV ||
I saw a girl, throwing herself in front of the crazy wolves. Her bravery incited my lycan but I was too busy to kill the wolves. They attacked me from every corner, thirsty for the blood of the guests here. From the corner of my eye, I saw the big black one, preparing to launch his final attack.
I was prepared to stab him fiercely. To my surprise, I saw the girl coming between us and using her knife to handle the wolf. She fell with a loud cry when the wolf bit her arms. I caught her by her waist before she fell to the ground, shouting at my pack members,
" KILL THEM!! KILL THEM ALL!"
The whole program turned into a massacre of blood. I wasted no time carrying her up and ran into the household. She lost so much blood and my Lycan was worried as fuck. She was the new maid in my castle. I couldn't understand the reason behind my worries.
I passed her to my healer impatiently, kept looking down at her face,
" HEAL HER! IF YOU FAIL, I WILL KILL YOU."
Returning to the side of bloodshed, I found all the wolves had been killed. Many of my guests were injured. I found the culprit, standing in a corner pathetically. I charged at Alpha Gerrat, grabbing him by his collar until he was inches high from the ground,
" YOU DID THIS! IT WAS YOUR PLAN, WASN'T IT? YOU WANT TO DESTROY MY RELATIONSHIP WITH THE ALPHAS?"
It was unbelievable that his wolves had gone crazy without any reason and attacked the guests. He was an Alpha who was full of ulterior motives. It was no secret how he became the superior in his kingdom. Alpha Gerrat choked on his words, glaring back at me,
" You...You are accusing me falsely...You can't do this...I am..the Alpha and king.."
I corrected him with a furious growl, tightening my hold around his throat,
" YOU ARE NO KING! You are such a..greedy ass..YOU PLANNED EVERYTHING! "
I threw his body in the air. It was hit by a massive stone on the other side. Alpha Gerrat growled in pain, hitting himself on the ground. I blurted out my final decision in rage, looking around to see the guests who had been hurt,
" FROM THIS DAY, ALPHA GERRAT IS FORBIDDEN IN MY KINGDOM. ANY KIND OF DEALS WITH HIM ARE RESTRICTED TILL AN INDEFINITE TIME."
All agreed with my decision as they showed their hatred of Alpha Gerrat. I ordered my guards at once, pointing at Alpha Gerrat and his men,
" THROW THEM OUT! I DON'T EVEN WANT TO SEE THEIR FACE."
Only after they were thrown outside, my Lycan became calm. It was aching for his blood badly. As I intended to apologize to everyone, my lycan nudged me in the opposite direction, growling one word inside my head,
" Hurt! "
" How is she?"
The pack beta's jaw dropped dramatically as soon as he saw me. This part of the castle belonged to the gammas who worked to serve us. It was my first time, stepping into this area. I couldn't stand still until I saw the girl again.
My beta replied respectively, gesturing towards a room,
" Not so good! Her wolf isn't a fast healer. The healer said that it would take time for her to recover."
I followed his eyes into the room. There she was! It was the first time that I saw her very well. She was an extraordinary beauty in this castle. Long black hair, and porcelain skin, were well paired with her slim body.
My Lycan howled in joy, pushing me inside to approach her. It was a strange feeling since a sorcerer told me that I wasn't destined to find my fated mate. I attempted to enter the room but my beta stopped me, bowing his head at me,
" Your Majesty! It's... blood moon today..You shouldn't be here."
I froze in my tracks, cursing under my breath!
How did I forget that?
|| MONICA LEWINSKY's POV ||
I woke up from my deep slumber, and a dark unfamiliar surrounding welcomed me. My stomach throbbed in pain. The events came back as a memory and I grew cold, remembering how I was so close to death.
A maid entered the room only to be stopped midway with a gasp,
" Oh my! Are you awake? I thought you would be sleeping."
I licked my lips dry, asking in a weak voice,
" What.. what happened to me? How did I get here?"
The maid let out a snort, placing the hot soup next to my bed,
" Damn girl, everyone is jealous of you. You know what? The king has carried you here personally. After you were stabbed, he took down the wolves and banished Alpha Gerrat from the kingdom. Poor Alpha was humiliated in front of everyone."
I asked with excitement, clutching the blanket to me,
" Alpha Gerrat! He...he is banished?"
The maid shot me a confused look before she nodded her head,
" Yes! His Majesty was furious and didn't want to see him here anymore."
I almost couldn't stop smiling in front of the maid. It was marked as the first victory against Gerrit. I cleared my throat to hide my emotions,
" ah...His Highness..Did he say anything else?"
I half-expected that he would invite me to join his slave group. It was the only way to get closer to King Viktor. The maid shook her head, peeking through the window to look at the sky,
" No! He must be busy today. I heard a strange rumor about him. He goes missing on every blood moon day. Today is a blood moon day."
I looked outside through the window, the round blood moon standing on top of the trees. Lycans had significance with the blood moon. Since I was not a Lycan, I didn't feel anything special. Yet I was attracted to the natural change. I told the maid, getting up from the bed,
" Anyways..I am going for a walk in the woods. Don't look for me."
The maid strongly refused, glaring at me,
" YOU CAN'T! They have strictly said that you need to sleep longer till tomorrow. You better get back here now."
I rolled my eyes at her, feeling too bored to lie on the bed at this moment,
" Don't be unreasonable. It's just a walk. It is not like I am going to run away from here."
She kept warning me but I was already out to enjoy the night of the blood moon. The woods were the closest to the castle. The light was warm in the sky. I didn't even know how long I had been walking. I was absent-minded and walked aimlessly. The rejection from my mate, the revenge of my family, everything was sitting on my shoulders.
I was snapped out of my thoughts only after a roar came from nearby. It was guttural and animalistic, raising suspicions in my mind. I didn't think that any Lycan could roar like that. My feet didn't stop instead I grew more curious. Keeping my walk in the direction, I was stunned to discover a warehouse. From inside, a beast's roar kept shaking the ground beneath me.
I stumbled a step back but my wolf pushed me to go forward, wondering why I was getting close to the danger for no reason.
