Chapter 11
Zoë Lawrence now dares not to be irresponsible for her own body, what if she falls too, what should she do about her mother?
But there is no way now, she is now Amos Sari's maid, she has to prepare breakfast for Amos Sari.
Zoë Lawrence quickly tidied herself up, the scars on her face were very obvious, it is not known whether Amos Sari saw them yesterday, but it does not matter anymore.
If Amos Sari still wants her to maintain sustainable value, he should not ignore the injuries on her face.
Zona Lawrence started preparing breakfast while thinking.
Amos Sari seemed to prefer Chinese-style breakfast, so Zona Lawrence packed soup dumplings and made congee. The activity in the kitchen soon attracted the attention of the other household members.
Since Amos Sari didn't like seeing unrelated people at home, the other maids did the housework when he was not around, trying to avoid appearing in front of him.
However, among these people, the butler was not included. The butler had been taking care of him since he was young, so Amos Sarie had a much higher tolerance for him than for others.
At this moment, the noise coming from the kitchen quickly drew the butler's attention. Zona Lawrence was busy, suddenly noticing a very scorching gaze.
She turned her head and saw it was the family steward. She wiped her hands with her apron and greeted her respectfully, "Steward, good morning."
The steward looked stern, watching Zona Lawrence's actions expressionlessly, "What are you doing?"
Her voice was also cold, and she seemed like a robot, but Zona Lawrence did not dare to despise her demeanor.
"I'm making breakfast. He likes Chinese food, so I steamed soup dumplings and made congee."
The butler's expression on his face softened slightly, but his tone remained stern, "Understood, I still have things to do later. You'll be responsible for waking the master up later, understood?"
Zona Lawrence nodded. Seeing this, the butler didn't say anything more and turned to leave. Zona Lawrence breathed a sigh of relief. Just moments ago, when facing the butler, she had felt that he might lunge at her and tear her apart in the next second. His gaze was simply too frightening.
"Right, right, time to wake him up."
Zona Lawrence swept all the chaotic thoughts from her mind, then served both the congee and the soup dumplings onto the dining table outside.
She then froze, hesitating whether to go upstairs and wake up Amos Sary. Their relationship was currently bitter, and if she went up to wake him, would he take his anger out on her? Should she ask someone else to go instead.
Zona Lawrence hesitated in her heart, but she eventually gave up the idea because when her gaze met those of the other servants in the house, they all directly avoided it.
It seems her idea of asking someone for help has failed, so she could only tough it out and go to Amos Saris's bedroom to wake him up.
She had just knocked, and stood like a post at the door, holding her breath.
After a while, there was still no movement inside, Zona Lawrence frowned and knocked again, but still there was no response.
“Could he not be here, or did he leave early?” Zona Lawrence wondered in her heart, but her hand reached out and turned the doorknob, pushing the door open.
Upon seeing the lump on the bed, her heart jumped again, “He’s still in the room, but why is there no sound?”
Zona Lawrence cleared her throat and said respectfully, “Sir, breakfast is ready, you should get up.”
However, the person in bed gave no response. As Zona Lawrence hesitated, she suddenly heard a groan that seemed extremely painful.
"What's wrong?"
This was Zona Lawrence's doubt, yet her feet moved involuntarily toward the bedside.
She carefully lifted the blanket, only to find Amos Sari with a deathly pale face and sweat on his forehead.
“Amos Sarai, what’s wrong? What’s wrong.”
In a state of panic, Zona Lawrence didn’t even call Mr. Sarai, but directly called Amos Sarai’s name.
Amos Sarai slightly opened his eyes, and upon seeing her, his expression instantly turned foul, but because he looked extremely fragile at the moment, even the foul expression seemed weakened, more like a proud peacock.
Zona Lawrence didn't care about any of this; seeing Amos Sari's look of pain had already lost her composure. She quickly reached out and touched Amos Sari's head, it didn't feel very hot, she didn't have a fever.
"What's wrong with you?"
Zona Lawrence's face showed worry, ready to pull back the blanket to check on him, but Amos Sari slapped her hand away.
"Don't touch me, get away."
Amos Sari spoke in a hoarse voice, and Zona Lawrence's heart ached, but she still didn't stop her actions, pouring a glass of water into the bedroom.
"Don't say that now, please have a drink first!"
Amos Sari licked his dry lips, thought for a moment, and decided not to be too hard on himself, so he took the water impatiently and then handed it back to Zona Lawrence.
“I’m done, get out, call the butler.”
Zona Lawrence felt , “The butler just left. Just now the nanny said she had something to do, so she left first. She asked me to come wake you up. Should I take you to the hospital?”
Zona Lawrence didn’t understand what was wrong with Amos Sari, so she could only ask him on her own. Amos Sari listened, his face displeased.
“It’s none of your business, get away from me.”
After speaking, he struggled to sit up, Zona Lawrence saw this and wanted to help him, but was pushed away by Amos Sari.
"I said, don't bother me, get away from me, I don't want to see you."
After Amos Sari stood up, he kept covering his stomach with his hand, and only then did Zona Lawrence notice. After thinking for a moment, a flash of inspiration occurred to her.
"Ah, it seems she remembered, Amos Sari might have a stomach problem."
Indeed, Amos Sari's next actions confirmed her suspicion, as she rummaged through the cabinets in the room.
Zona Lawrence Zona Lawrence immediately asked, "What are you looking for? Is it the stomach medicine?"
Amos Sari was in so much pain that her head wasn't very clear, and she instinctively answered.
Zona Lawrence heard this and immediately went forward to help look, but Amos Sari came to his senses and glared at her angrily.
However, Zona Lawrence was searching with her back to him at this moment, looking like she was in a panic, and seeing her like this, Amos Sari's heart softened involuntarily.
At the same time, he was very puzzled, why was she so concerned about him? Hadn't she betrayed him? Or was she acting?
Amos Sari struggled internally, wondering why Zona Lawrence had done this, but Zona Lawrence didn't know his thoughts. After finding the stomach medicine, she turned around with a look of surprise, only to find Amos Sari staring at her intently.
Her smile froze instantly. She knew she had gotten a bit carried away for a moment and quickly said respectfully.
"The medicine is here, sir. You can go back to bed first!"
