A Distant past part 3
Five year old Freya's point of view
As I wiped the last few tears from my eyes in order to find the culprit who was making that nose but at last I didn't see anyone. Not to mention it was dark out considering I haven't gotten my wolf yet my senses weren't as strong and a wolf who does have their wolf. I knew someone was there lurking in the darkness I could feel it. I could smell the stinch that raidated off of them. " Um is anyone there?" I said in hopes that maybe it was just my imagination. I was startled Lucas was right I was worthless. The only ones that matter to this pack were my brothers they had a purpose within the pack. I however did not and many of the other pack children would often talk about it. I wasn't fast like the other children in my age range often finding myself losing races while everyone was finishing their last lap I would be finishing my first. I wasn't as strong as the other female wolves and within a pack those two traits are most important speed and strength three if you count your skill level to out think your opponent. Which I could not.
Soon a voice broke through out the air " Come here child let me have a look at you." A shiver ran up my spine there was something sinister about that voice almost demanding respect. I didn't get rogue from him from the power radiating off of him would assume he was another Alpha.
Soon a woman's voice soon followed " Shhhh Alister don't frighten the poor child. Look how fragile she is out here all alone." The woman's voice was opposite of the man's hers was soothing like a mother. Almost inviting. I had to stay on guard and be alert. Rouges were known for stealing pack members children to keep from dying out. To be apart of their little entourage to do with as they pleased.
My concentration was interrupted by a small slender woman stepping out from the shadows. She was beautiful a small petite woman standing in her natural form. In pack life it was common to see pack members in their natural form (naked). The woman shared many similarities to my own she had black wavy hair that lye just above her breast. Her eyes were a mixture of purple and red. She swayed as she softly approached me. A reassuring smile on her face. She out stretched her hand towards me to take flinching away from her, a natural reaction. " Shhh shh child do not be afraid I won't hurt you. My names Kat what's your name love?"
After what felt like a few moments had passed I finally answered " F-Freya" I couldn't help but to stutter.
She simply looked down at me looking into my grey eyes as if to read my thoughts " Mmmhh. I love your name I longed to have a daughter one day." She swiftly removed my hair that had fallen in front of my eyes. "Freya why are you out here all alone and what's made you so upset?"
" I um I was running from the Alphas son."
Looking deep in thought she replied " Why were you running from the alphas son Freya?"
" Because he said I had no purpose in the pack unlike my brothers and then he pushed me down before walking away. So I ran to get away from him."
" Poor thing I could take away that pain your feeling right about now if you want you could come live with us. Would you like that Freya?"
I automatically shook my head telling her no " I could never leave my mother." I was my mother's last pup I couldn't stand to break her heart.
Then out of no where the man once again spoke "That's Enough" He shifted and his mahogany wolf jumped from behind the tree line running towards me. But before he could reach me another wolf pounced into action based on the wolves black fur coat I only recognized him as Rollin. Attacking the outsider Rollin latched on to his neck as a fair warning to get off his land.
I could hear my mother and father's voice in the distance " Freya Freya oh my goddess." my mother yelled taking in the scene before her she quickly shifted into her blonde wolf in order to help Rollin and guide the rogues away from me. Just then Kat shifted into her very brownish reddish wolf as well attacking my mother. As more rogues approached from behind the trees my father shifted into his brown wolf. I was too numb to move taking in the bloody scene that lye before me. Blood staining the once green grass that laid just moments ago below my feet. Rollin and my parents fought to the best of their abilities there were just too many of them to fight off for every one that Rollin and my parents could take down three more would show up. I watched from the side lines tears running down my face watching as one of the fellow rouges take down my father. My father the one I looked up to to keep us safe at night was being defeated no longer the once powerful beta everyone looked up to. I watched as they torn him into shreds it would forever be engraved inside my head. This would be my first taste of what watching death would feel like I watched as they tore my father's head straight off his body. My mother feeling her mates death clasped her heart tears rolling from her eyes seeing her dead mate soon looking over to me as if to tell me she was sorry for not being able to protect me and mouthed " I Love you." before having her neck sliced clean to the bone she fell lying just two inches away from her mate with her right hand stretched out as if she was reaching out to her now dead mate.
With Rollin being the last remaining fighter he clasped due to exhaustion within mere seconds the rogues would soon devour him. As a warning to the Alpha his father to say they had been in his Territory.
Everywhere I looked I saw blood before Kat's hand landed on my face leaving my mother's blood on me " Shhhh little one it's OK."
Hearing my pack in the distance inorder to make out the commotion Kat looked at me "We'll be back for you. " Before the rouges and her disappeared back into the shadows.
Stained in blood unable to make out what had occurred right in front of me I soon found myself slipping in to complete and utter darkness.
Little did I know when I would wake my life will never be the same.
