Chapter 112
Helen POV
I sit back, leaned on the wall and sipping my tea while Russo and Randy take watch at the helm of the barracks. Joy was peeved, wanting to help Justin protect our new pack intakes, but I figured this would happen.
My new pixie friend, Freya, buzzed around my eyes suddenly, trying to catch my attention. She fluttered into between the bars of the window just outside my cell.
Was she trying to tell me to escape?
I didn’t need to piss off my mate further, but the thought was overwhelming. I finally stood from my cot and went over to where she hovered. I came through this gap before to save the wizards so I know for sure I can make it out of there.
But to think about not being able to help defend True Mates was frustrating.
Freya zipped around faster, wanting me to escape, but I took a glance back toward Randy and Russo. They would be furious. I didn’t want to make anyone upset, but even Joy was anxious to fight.
After a long, heavy pause in thought, I finally went for it and climbed out of the gap as fast as possible. Joy ripped out of the tight, sparkly dress at once.
I could see my white, pure fur in the reflection of the estate windows. I had become so beautiful in this form, and in the other, that it was hard to recognize myself without the blemishes.
I was a tricolor, a simple Tiger Lily before.
Now I’m the brightest form of Snow White I have ever seen!
If only Diana, Scott and my parents could see me now.
I ran through the woods and Freya perched herself onto my ear, hanging there as I rushed to the edge of the pack lines.
The wolves and warriors of True Mates were in the tail-end of the fight, pushing a few rogues back as they dared to charge forward. I spotted my Lycan mate in the middle of it all.
He had three, maybe four, rogues coming at him specifically and he was lashing out at them left and right, tiring himself out but still fighting so hard.
I leapt into action, throwing myself into the battle and grabbing one of the rogues by the throat. I pushed him far away from my mate and the rogue limped away in a hurry, his blood staining my fur.
“That’s the one,” Freya hissed, pointing at the rogue I just sunk my teeth into. “He is the one I’ve seen torture my family!”
I stepped forward, ready to kill him for good, but Justin came behind me, his claws digging into the back of my neck and taking my fur in his claws.
I whimpered and fell at his feet, the searing anger of his features clearly not happy with my actions.
The rogues were still coming forward though, and he got distracted from scolding me long enough to let me go. I took out another charging rogue by biting down on his hind leg. He fell, taking the brunt of warriors from True Mates.
There were only one or two rogues left, so I bolted back towards the barracks in a hurry, not wanting to upset Justin further. When I came to a stop, I shifted on the stairs, Russo and Randy standing over my bare, blood soaked posture.
“What the—” Randy hummed, looking behind him as though to see me still inside the cell.
“The Lycan is going to kill us both,” Russo mumbled. “We didn’t even know you lift, little wolf. How could you?”
“I wanted to make sure he was okay,” I panted. “I helped him defeat the rogues and besides, Freya said that the rogues are the ones hurting her family and—”
“MATE!”
I shivered, Justin’s voice carrying through the entire pack. I shot up, pushing past both of the wolves in my way and leaving my pixie friend in the dust. She flew off thankfully before Justin came storming into the barracks.
I shut the cell door and the lock mechanism fell into place.
Russo and Randy bolted out of the underground jail and instead of Justin looming inside, his Lycan charged toward the bars, ripping the door off the concrete walls.
I screamed in shock, watching him come over to me at once.
Justin’s Lycan snarled a mean growl, grabbed my hips with his claws poking into my sides, and he flipped me over to face away from him.
My heart began to race with his hard movements and hot touch.
“Justin, wait… your Lycan will—”
His hand came down against my ass and I gasped, scratching alive at the heavy, swatting slap against my inner thighs. He spanked me again, shamelessly, his claws scratching at my surface in recoil.
I felt his normal, fleshy hands return and I tried to sit up, but he shoved my chest back down into my cot. My knees where bent, my back arched, and I felt so vulnerable and exposed to him in this position.
“My adrenaline is overpowering my desire to punish you,” he snarled.
I looked through my knees to see him standing behind me, wildly stroking his erection. He was in the heat of battle and now he has brought that heat here to plug into me.
I shuddered but spread my legs wider for his access. He rammed into my warm, expecting sex with a throwing thrust of his hips.
A scream came from my lips and he stifled a light chuckle.
“Maybe this is punishment,” he purred, moving harder and deeper and begging to come. “Seeing you fight out there, my Lycan wanted to bend your wolf over and mate her right there. You are brave, but you are defiant, little mate. I will teach you to be submissive to me again!”
He rammed down my core, filling me with his hot, sticky come. I trembled weakly and fell into the cot, trying to catch my breath but failing.
He stood over me, shaking his head at the mere sight of me used and breathless at his knees.
“You will learn to behave,” Justin said, filtering through his Alpha tone. “Tomorrow morning I am hosting the opening ceremony for the weekend. There will be dueling fights. You will obey my every word, Helen. I mean it.”
I dropped my head but ultimately agreed.
“Goodnight, mate.”
He turned quick and left the barracks. I was naked, sweaty and still strung off the heat of the fight that transpired with the rogues tonight.
He wasn’t happy with me but he left the barracks and locked the doors outside. I could still escape through the gap in the wall like before but I simply laid in my cot, stifling back tears.
I wanted everything to go back to normal and to calm down to a manageable level.
I wanted my mate to hold me at night.
I wanted things that just weren’t possible anymore.
Curling under my many blankets, I tried to fall asleep swiftly but instead, just sat in the darkness of my head until I could hear a bit of movement in my cell. Sitting up slowly, I spotted a long, tight black dress hanging on the far wall with a pair of plain heels.
I dreaded the sight of the dress but Freya came zipping into the cell through the gap in the wall and came to lay on my knee. I grimaced at the dress on the far wall and I could see that she didn’t like it much either.
“He’s already mad at me,” I grunted. “I can’t ask him for a different dress.”
She whistled suddenly, a hoard of little pixies filling the barracks on command. Freya started pulling on my little finger, ushering me to get up, and when I finally obliged, I felt a little shy to be naked in front of all of these little pixies.
They swarmed around my naked body in quick, racing fashion and when they stopped, I looked down to see a gorgeous long gown made of crystal and light.
My jaw hinged in utter awe, seeing the clear, diamond looking shoes that had appeared on my feet.
I looked stunning for the first time in forever!
“Helen, get up, it’s time to—”
The beta stopped in the mouth of the barracks, his eyes wide as could be. “Oh. Wow.”
