Alaric's POV 

Alexis had insisted we have a short party after the pack meeting with an alpha from another pack. It was a weird suggestion, but I didn't oppose it 'cause it was a good idea for our guest to unwind after having a nerve-wracking meeting with me. It was hilarious how scared they were of my presence.

We easily got VIP reservations because the club was owned by Alexis even if that was not the case, we were alphas. The guys were unwinding and taking shots after shots. A glass was in my hand, which I kept on twirling and watching my guests and officials enjoy themselves. There was this unease in my mind I couldn't get rid of which prevented me from drinking and ruined my mood.

"Tch." I clicked my tongue, bringing the glass to my lips for a sip while my eyes were on my brother, who was acting strange, glancing at the ground floor as if he was expecting someone.

Alexis' eyes had a mischievous glint in them when two girls came inside the club. From his line of vision, I could ascertain the one that caught his attention was the raven black hair lady. Normally, I didn't pay much attention to my brother's sexual interest. Everyone was aware of how much of a playboy Alexis was, and he seemed to have got his eyes on a new prey, but there was something about her that made me uncomfortable.

Suddenly, I felt like drinking, not liking how Alexis's  eyes were on her. A thought hit me, but I shook it away. That couldn't be right. A few hours later, a strong urge to leave my seat got to me; my wolf was getting restless, clawing inside, trying to break out.

"Are you alright?" Alexis asked me, sensing my mood was off, I didn't reply to him, but instead, my eyes were drawn to a particular direction. I caught sight of the raven-black hair girl, and her flowery scent like lavender was driving me crazy with an irresistible urge to mark her there and then.

She walked towards Alexis's direction, which enraged my wolf who was acting possessive. Alexis looked surprised, thinking she was approaching him, but I knew that was not the case. She walked past him, ignoring all the curious stares coming her way, and stopped in front of me. "Mate." She said.

"Mate." I replied, sounding a bit confused. ' claim her. She is ours.' My wolf Akin could not hold himself back. My eyes flickered red keenly observing her, amused by the turn of events; my little brother's new prey was my mate.

Everyone was stunned at what was happening with Alexis being the worst. I was trying to hold back Akin, who was going crazy with the urge to claim his mate when she brazenly wrapped her hands around my shoulders and sat on my lap before initiating a kiss. 

My eyes popped out at her actions but I couldn't stop myself from indulging further. Her mouth tasted like alcohol, but I didn't mind; she must be drunk, but I didn't care because a strong sense of desire blocked off every reason in my head.

Damn, she was so irresistible and a good kisser; the thought of her kissing other people to have gotten this good upset me for a strange reason. Since the others realize what was happening they let us have our time. 

My lips left her cute cherry lips to let her gasp for air while I trailed down kisses to her chin. Each time our skin met there was a jolt of sparks running through. "Your lips are killing me. " she moaned, grabbing my hair. My hand snuck under her dress while my lips were on her nape, kissing and sucking. My fangs were inching to sink into her skin but I ignored the feeling.

I raised her dress to run my hand on her bare lap up to her panties playing with them with the thought of yanking them off so that my dick could thrust into her pussy, sounding very pleasurable.

"Please take me." She said it was hard to know if it was her will or the influence of the alcohol and mate bond that was controlling her, but I was getting damn turned on already with my dick twitching. "Are you sure about that 'cause once I start there is no stopping?" I tried to warn her, knowing the beast I had buried in me.

She nodded her head at me in agreement. The corner of my lips curved up with a mischievous smile. I captured her lips fiercely without prior notice with my hands secured around her waist. She moaned into my mouth, getting lost in our kiss.

Her back arched with her hands tugging my hair, wanting to lean forward to delve deeper into the kiss, surrendering to her carnal desires. I decided to let go of my restraints and let my carnal desires that wanted nothing else but her take over. "Oh please fuck my hard." She just had to add fuel to the blazing flame. "It will be my pleasure." Who was I to say no?

The slanting sun rays from the window poked my eyes and a harsh sigh left my lips as my silvery grey eyes slowly opened. There was a weird sensation like sparks I felt around my waist, puzzled. I glanced down to see a petite feminine figure hugging my waist fast asleep.

She was clinging so tight as if she was scared I would disappear in her sleep. The events of last night started running through my head of the wild sex we had together immediately, I managed to convince her against the idea of fucking her opening in the club. She wanted my dick so badly she didn't care about anything else but I had to be the sensible one. She was something in bed I must admit.

I managed to pry her hands away from me so that I could go take a shower and get ready for the day.

I was fully dressed in a blue shirt and plain black trousers, enjoying my morning coffee while glancing at this morning's stock reports, when my ears caught the sounds of faint noise coming from the bed.

My eyes were naturally drawn to the bed to see her already up from bed yawning and stretching. Up till now, I had no idea what her name was. 

After yawning, her eyes darted around the room, curious; I guess she was stunned about waking up in a strange room until her eyes fell on me.

"Alexis?" She called my brother's name flabbergasted; it was not too unexpected because of the unmistakable resemblance between me and my brother. "Do you think I am Alexis?" I arched my brows at her; for an unknown reason, I didn't like the fact she called me Alexis.

Her eyes squinted at me with a quizzical look before they went wide as reality struck her. "Mate.." she gasped with her hand rushing to her mouth to muffle her scream. She stood from the bed, slipping out from the sheets, and then another shock hit her, realizing she was but naked.

"Ahhh." She shrieked, rushing to cover herself up with the sheets. "No way we did it." She blurted, locking her blue eyes with mine before shyly looking away. She was an amusing figure to watch but every good thing must come to an end.

I picked up my jacket and got on my feet. "Wait, are you leaving?" She asked me rushing to my side with her eyes staring at me curiously.

"Yes, I have important matters to handle," I said as a matter of fact. She was taken aback by my reply. She looked away, trying to think of what to say in response, but I didn't have the luxury of time to wait any longer.

"There is a new dress you can change into and the driver will be waiting for you when you are ready to leave. Also, on the coffee table, I left a credit card. It's for the troubles you went  through last night." I explained everything I had to say to her. Her confused look turned into shock.

"You don't have to pay me for last night. We are mates, after all. That aside, what is going to happen between us? I am still a college student." I understood where she was coming from but it seems our interest at the moment was clashing.

"There is nothing between us. I advise you to take the money and forget whatever happened last night. it will be better if you never appear before me again." Those were my simple wishes. I had no interest in a random college student who caught my brother's eye. Especially now I could not afford to have any weakness.

"Wait, I don't understand what you are saying, mate." She stammered, unable to comprehend my words.

"Firstly, I don't remember allowing you to address me as your mate. Secondly, I am your Alpha and that is all. Don't delude yourself with the naive thought of us being anything else. Have a nice day." With that being said, I walked out of the room, leaving the raven-black hair lady struck in a spot.
