Chapter 2 Because You Didn’t Drag Me Into Your Bed

Olivia Hart

“What a disgrace, Mr. Alexander. This company isn’t for work anymore! it’s for sex.”

Only minutes later, I found myself standing in front of his massive luxury company building.

Employees moved everywhere around me, and almost every woman wore clothes that revealed more than they hid.

All I could see were exposed thighs and overflowing cleavage shoved into everyone’s faces. Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if he had slept with every employee here just to guarantee her a chair inside this place.

Of course everyone wanted Alexander Kane in their bed.

The millionaire.

The owner of mansions and businesses.

“Oh my God..”

The words slipped out through clenched nerves while I headed upstairs toward his office.

“My name won’t be Olivia Hart if I don’t make everyone in this company talk about you for an entire year, you bastard.”

My shoulder slammed into a red-haired employee. I heard her disgusting little groan as she rubbed at the spot, but I ignored her and didn’t even bother apologizing.

I kept walking.

“All this because I didn’t let you touch me the way you wanted? Because you didn’t drag me into your bed? Filthy bastard.”

When the elevator doors opened, I wiped every trace of tears from my cheeks with the back of my hand and gathered whatever strength I still had before walking toward his office with steady steps.

“Hold yourself together, Olivia. You’re strong. Nobody’s been born who can break you.”

I approached the door. A deep breath filled my lungs before I pushed it open, fully intending to teach him a lesson he’d never forget.

But the second my eyes landed inside. My tongue froze.

The revolting sight in front of me struck so hard it felt like my heart had dropped into my stomach, paralyzed by what I was seeing.

A shaky breath escaped me.

“Fuck…”

Alexander.

The same man who used to whisper love into my ear had his fingers buried in a blonde secretary’s hair, devouring her lips with animal hunger while her legs wrapped around his waist on top of the same desk where he once fed me lies and promises.

“What are you doing here?”

His rough voice hit my ears while his hand moved over the woman’s back.

Before I could say a word, the blonde climbed off his lap and headed toward the door, swaying her wide hips with cheap triumph written all over her face.

She knew I was his girlfriend. I had visited him here more than once.

“I asked you why you’re here. Wasn’t my message enough?”

Alexander stood from behind the desk, throwing the question at me arrogantly when I remained frozen in place.

My eyes caught the dark lipstick stain on his collar.

That whore’s lipstick.

“I thought I ended things with you already,” he added coldly.

Our eyes locked. As if we had never been lovers for even one day.

I saw emptiness inside his gaze while he found nothing in mine except hatred.

“Not yet. This won’t end with a slutty text message from someone like you, Mr. Alexander.”

I walked toward him until only inches separated us.

Disgust sharpened every calm feature on my face while his eyes dropped to my lips with obvious desire.

“Not that easily, my rotten darling.”

My hand crashed across his face with every ounce of strength I had. Then I smiled coldly while my breathing brushed against his cheek.

“You never told me how filthy you were before. I’m glad I found out myself.”

His face snapped to the side.

The shock written across his features after I slapped him told me my delicate handprint had done real damage to that arrogant face.

“Cheap.”

My word burst again and again.

“There’s nobody cheap here except you.”

The second anger flared inside his eyes, I realized I was probably doomed.

His fury looked ready to swallow me whole.

“How dare you slap me, you bitch?”

Everything coming out of his mouth only pushed me closer toward hitting him again.

And I did.

Without hesitation.

“I don’t think the first slap was enough to satisfy me. Don’t you agree?”

The second slap landed harder than the first.

My entire body shook with rage, and even my voice sounded strangled when it came out.

“I truly hope your life turns miserable in every possible way.”

The way I looked at him wasn’t the same anymore. I had humiliated myself enough by letting my heart move for a coward like him… by placing it in the hands of a fraud.

“I’d really love for you to know you’re the filthiest person I’ve ever met.”

His fist tightened beside my face like he was about to hit me, but he stopped himself at the last second.

Heavy breathing.

Eyes burning with fury.

“Get out of my office right now before I do something you won’t like.”

His jaw flexed violently, like he wanted to rip something apart.

Maybe me.

“I don’t want to see you again. A useless girl like you has no place beside me.”

“Useless Girl.”

That word hurt more than everything else.

My eyes lowered while my fingers tightened around my bag against my thighs.

“How could you end our relationship in such a disgusting way?”

I opened my mouth, trying to pull air into my lungs before the bitterness in my chest spilled out.

“I loved you. I was the most loyal person in your life. You were alone, and I was always there beside you.”

A mocking smile slipped onto my lips.

After those slaps, he almost looked like some stray dog.

“I get hit with a filthy text message from you, then walk in on you with your blonde employee spread all over you. Does that whore have something I don’t?”

He answered with clear arrogance, as if my words hadn’t touched him at all. “Do you want to know why? I don’t think you’ll like the answer.”

I nodded anyway.

Nothing he said could scar me more than my own family already had.

“You’re just a doll, Olivia. Did you really think I’d let someone like you carry my name?”

“I never loved you the way you imagined. To me, you were just entertainment. A toy I enjoyed because I couldn’t find a better one.”

He laughed like a lunatic trying to drag me down into his madness.

“Olivia… who could ever fall for someone as stupid as you? Even your own father can’t stand you.”

“You’re so…”

My voice trembled apart while betrayal shredded my chest into pieces.

“So disgusting.”

A sly smile spread across his lips, pushing harder just to tear apart whatever was left inside me.

“And you’re naive and easy. Guess we’re even now. I only wanted your virginity. That innocent little virgin image of yours.”

He kept talking while tears streamed down my face. He had struck the weakest part inside me.

“But in the end, I got bored. You’re weak. Even your father doesn’t want you.”

“Get out of my office and close the door behind you.”

I smiled back at him.

Fake strength covering complete collapse.

“I swear you’re going to see the worst days of your life. So just wait for your destruction. You’ll see exactly what this weak girl can do to you.”

I wiped my face with the sleeve of my coat, then tilted my head so my hair would fall away from my exhausted face.

That smile still remained on my lips.

“I’ll prove which one of us is the failure… and which one is truly pathetic.”

I walked out, passing the blonde secretary standing nearby.

Her eyes swept over every inch of my appearance with obvious judgment.

Even unemployed, I had still managed to spend Alexander’s money on myself—and honestly?

I didn’t regret it.

At least I got real designer clothes out of him.

“Watch where you’re looking, bitch.”

She shot me a murderous glare.

It took everything in me not to throw myself at her.

I wanted to dig my nails into that face buried beneath layers of makeup.

The rage inside me was becoming dangerous.

“Now I know what I’m going to do to that little bastard Alexander.”

I swear, Alexander…

I wiped my tears while whispering,

“I’ll make you regret breaking a girl who had nothing left to lose.”
