After My Death, Their Love Began
Stella · Ongoing · 6.2k Words
Introduction
“Mom, Dad, Brother! I’ve been kidnapped, come save me, quick!”
Everyone panicked—including my fiancé, Theodore.
They interrupted the wedding ceremony to rush to Iris.
I begged them through tears not to go. I said it was a trick, something Iris had staged herself.
“The ceremony would have been over in ten more minutes. Can’t you just wait ten minutes?”
My parents called me a heartless, ungrateful wretch. My brother, Ron, pried my fingers from his tuxedo lapel.
“Chloe, stop being so selfish! Even if Iris isn’t your blood sister, how can you be so cruel?!”
“All you care about is your own wedding! Do you really want to see her die?!”
My fiancé looked at me with disappointment. “Let’s cancel the wedding for now.”
“I just realized… the one I care about more… is Iris.”
Watching their hurried figures disappear, I picked up a knife and locked myself in the bridal suite.
Chapter 1
At my wedding, my whole family received a distress video from Anais Brown.
"Dad, Mom, Noah! I've been kidnapped, please come save me!"
Everyone panicked, including my fiancé Oliver Smith.
They interrupted the wedding ceremony to go find Anais.
I begged them through tears not to leave. I said this was just a stunt Anais staged herself. "There's only ten minutes left in the ceremony. Can you just wait ten more minutes?"
Mom and Dad called me an ungrateful wretch. My brother Noah Miller pried my fingers off his sleeve. "Chloe, stop being so selfish! Even though Anais isn't your real sister, how can you be so heartless!"
"You only care about your own wedding. Do you want to watch her die?"
Oliver also looked at me with disappointment. "Let's cancel our wedding. I'm only now realizing that the person I care more about is Anais."
Watching them rush away, I locked myself in the bridal suite with a knife.
My soul drifted out of the room and saw the whole family happily bringing Anais back home.
"I'm sorry, Dad, Mom, and Noah. The distress video and suicide note were just a joke. I just didn't want to be ignored by you."
But everyone didn't care at all. They were just glad to have found Anais and didn't even notice I wasn't home.
It wasn't until Anais's birthday that they received my scheduled birthday message, but they still thought I was just throwing a tantrum.
"If she's got the guts, she can stay away forever!" my dad said.
Mom chimed in, too. "Chloe has been spoiled by us. She knows today is Anais's birthday, but still wants attention. Just ignore her. She'll come home in a few days!"
Anais's eyes immediately turned red. "Chloe must be mad at me. It's all my fault for falling in love with someone I shouldn't have."
She sounded so wronged, and the man beside her—my former fiancé Oliver—immediately pulled her into his arms to comfort her.
"Anais, this isn't your fault. Besides, it's your birthday. You should be happy."
Floating in mid-air, I suddenly remembered the wedding day.
The wedding photo on the screen had changed to Anais's suicide note.
Dad, Mom, and Noah left without a moment's hesitation.
And Oliver, who had always been gentle with me, seemed like a different person.
He looked at me with undisguised disgust and was incredibly disappointed when I tried to stop him. "That's your sister, a living human being. How can you be so selfish?"
I didn't understand why everyone who once loved me gradually took Anais's side.
Later, they found her by the sea.
And I stayed at the wedding, enduring those mocking looks as I saw the guests off by myself.
That night, sitting on the bed in the bridal suite, I received a photo from an anonymous user.
Anais was surrounded by my family, while Oliver knelt on one knee proposing to her.
I felt so cold, I could only hug myself.
Was there anything in this world that still belonged to me?
My favorite Barbie doll from childhood became just one of Anais's countless toys.
Noah's time helping me with homework became bedtime stories for Anais.
Dad no longer lifted me over his head, and Mom no longer held me in her arms.
Now, even my lover had abandoned me.
When I came to my senses, I had already dialed Mom's number.
The phone rang a few times before she answered.
"Chloe, do you have to push your sister to her death?" Mom's voice was full of impatience.
I was silent for a while before saying that secret in a trembling voice. "Mom, actually, I'm sick... Could you please come..."
"If you're sick, then go die!"
The last sound I heard was Oliver gently calling Anais's name.
He had been my therapist and knew I was really sick.
But he said nothing.
My hand gripping the fruit knife tightened slightly, and everything before my eyes turned crimson red.
When I opened my eyes again, I found myself trapped by some invisible force beside Oliver, only able to watch him take care of Anais every day.
Even when Anais said she was afraid I hated her, Oliver would comfort her gently. "It's enough that I like you."
I wanted to hit him, to yell at him, but I couldn't touch him, and he couldn't hear my voice.

His expression twists.
"Fuck no."
He turns—and runs.

The Human Among Wolves
My stomach twisted, but he wasn’t finished.
"You're just a pathetic little human," Zayn said, his words deliberate, each one hitting like a slap. "Spreading your legs for the first guy who bothers to notice you."
Heat rushed to my face, burning with humiliation. My chest ached — not from his words alone, but from the sick realization that I had trusted him. That I had let myself believe he was different.
I was so, so stupid.

The Pack: Rule Number 1 - No Mates
"Let me go," I whimper, my body trembling with need. "I don't want you touching me."
I fall forward onto the bed then turn around to stare at him. The dark tattoos of Domonic's chiseled shoulders, quiver and and expand with the heave of his chest. His deep dimpled smile is full of arrogance as he reaches behind himself to lock the door.
Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."

The Biker's Fate
I squeezed my eyes shut.
"Dani," he pressed. "Do you get me?"
"No, Austin, I don't," I admitted as I pulled my robe closed again and sat up. "You confuse me."
He dragged his hands down his face. "Tell me what's on your mind."
I sighed. "You're everything my parents warned me against. You're secretive, but you're also honest. I feel wholly protected by you, but then you scare me more than anyone I've ever known. You're a bad boy, but when I dated a so-called good one, he turned out to be the devil, so, yeah, I don't get you because you're not what I expected. You drive me crazier than anyone I've ever met, but then you make me feel complete. I'm feeling things I don't quite know how to process and that makes me want to run. I don't want to give up something that might be really, really good, but I also don't want to be stupid and fall for a boy just because he's super pretty and makes me come."

I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
The Biker Alpha Who Became My Second Chance Mate
"You're like a sister to me."
Those were the actual words that broke the camel's back.
Not after what just happened. Not after the hot, breathless, soul-shaking night we spent tangled in each other's arms.
I knew from the beginning that Tristan Hayes was a line I shouldn't cross.
He wasn't just anyone, he was my brother's best friend. The man I spent years secretly wanting.
But that night... we were broken. We had just buried our parents. And the grief was too heavy, too real...so I begged him to touch me.
To make me forget. To fill the silence that death left behind.
And he did. He held me like I was something fragile.
Kissed me like I was the only thing he needed to breathe.
Then left me bleeding with six words that burned deeper than rejection ever could.
So, I ran. Away from everything that cost me pain.
Now, five years later, I'm back.
Fresh from rejecting the mate who abused me. Still carrying the scars of a pup I never got to hold.
And the man waiting for me at the airport isn't my brother.
It's Tristan.
And he's not the guy I left behind.
He's a biker.
An Alpha.
And when he looked at me, I knew there was no where else to run to.

My Possessive Alpha Twins For Mate
My drunk stepfather remained indifferent, his weight suffocating, making it hard to breathe as my heart raced.
Suddenly, the door slammed open, and two figures burst in.
"Get off her!" a deafening roar echoed.
I didn't expect the twin brothers who'd bullied me at school to come charging in like gods to save me.
After my grandmother passed, I had to move in with my mom and stepdad, who treated me like a servant. I prayed every day for my 18th birthday to come, so l could leave and escape this broken home.
However, on my first day at my new school, l encountered the legendary twins everyone feared.
To make matters worse, the Moon Goddess revealed they were both my mates!
After helping me out with my stepdad, my twin mate cornered me, played with my hair, and whispered possessively, "You belong to us, our little mate..."
Oops, Wrong Girl to Bully
My back hit the desk. Pain exploded through my skull.
"Girls like you don't get to dream about guys like Kai." Bella's breath was hot on my face. "You don't get to write pathetic love letters."
She shoved me again. Harder.
"Maybe if you weren't such a desperate little—"
I fell. My head cracked against the corner.
Warmth trickled down my neck. Blood.
Their laughter turned to gasps.
The door slammed.
I tried to stand. Couldn't. The room was spinning, fading to black.
Someone... please...
