Introduction
Chapter 1
When you feel alone or depressed, do not give up. There is a person who will be standing behind you always. All you need is to turn back and hug that person.
The beeping of my alarm snapped me out of my slumber and I groaned in annoyance switching it off. I fell back on my bed trying to get rid of the sleep that threatened to swallow me but I couldn't fight against it anymore so I gave up and began to doze off back to sleep. Thank God my mobile began to beep and this time I snapped out of the sleep, swearing loudly and turned off the alarm on my mobile.
This is my daily habit. I would go back to sleep again if I don't use another source to wake up. I checked the time to find it already past 5 O'clock in the morning. I tied my long wavy brown hair into a messy bun and got up from the bed making it neatly in the process and went inside the bathroom.
I did my business, bathing, brushing my teeth and came out of the bathroom only wearing a towel.
Today is a big day of my life. I would be joining the most prestigious Private Bank in New York. I have been informed that I would have to start from today itself and my post is to be a personal secretary to the CEO himself. I wonder who he is. Nice or a jerk. Just the thought of my new adventure got me excited.
Quickly getting ready for my first day, I did my makeup. I applied eyeliner and Mascara which made my Brown eyes look good. I applied Pink colored lipstick and tied my long Brown wavy hair into a neat Ponytail.
I chose to wear a black pencil skirt and matched it with a pink blouse and wore a Black Blazer to give myself a professional look. Sliding into my black stilettos, I wore my black-rimmed glasses and took my Important files and clutched my handbag and made my way towards my Kitchen.
I kept my things on the table and was just about to enter the kitchen when my eyes felt on the watch which was hanging above my Led Tv. It was already 8 in the morning and I had to reach there before 8:30.
"Oh shit!" clutching my things, I ran out of my apartment, locking it and keeping the key under my mat. I hurried towards the elevator and left the building in a rush giving a quick greeting and goodbyes to the people whom I knew in the building.
Hiring a Taxi, I finally reached my destination right at Eight-thirty.
"God! I'm totally late. Please help me" I mentally prayed to the almighty and went into the building which was named " Theller International's "
I went directly towards the lady in the counter and gave her my joining letter. The sweet lady whose name was Anabelle helped me on my schedule and gave me the directions towards my Boss room.
I have heard that my Boss was the CEO of the Bank and according to sources he is really young. I even heard that he keeps himself low profile and when I searched the net I seriously didn't get any pictures of him except some photos in which his face was not clearly visible.
I took the elevator and punched the 38th button to which I had to go and waited patiently to reach my floor.
The ping sound of the elevator door made me jump out of the elevator and I hurried towards another lady in the counter and asked her about my Boss room. The lady professionally guided me towards my Boss room and left as soon as we reached a wooden door.
I inhaled deeply and composed myself and checked my attire for the last time. Mentally preparing an excuse for being late on my first day, I bit down on my lips and knocked on the door.
I furrowed in confusion when I didn't get any response and I thought to knock once again. I knocked on the door and surprisingly found the door open. Going against my instincts on not to enter the room, I did the opposite and out of curiousness entered the room.
It was a big room. Mahogany Table, Bookshelves, some expensive pictures hanging in the wall, a Computer and a couch. There was a big glass window which showed the view of the city.
I was totally awed seeing the beautiful professional room. There were two attached door and I guessed one was a bathroom and again out of curiosity I knocked on the wooden door only to find no response. Clicking my tongue in annoyance, I turned the knob slowly and to my absolute horror their stood two humans eating each other's face wildly.
I mean kissing.
Before I could do anything a gasp left my mouth and the two snapped out of their little intimate conversation. The girl had black hair, tall and slim figured and wore high heels with red body-con mid thigh dress.
The other person was of course a man. To be precise an absolutely gorgeous man. Words couldn't describe how stunning he looked wearing those Grey Armani Business suite. He stood tall, around 6'2 feet and he had those beautiful green eyes which could hold anyone captivate for I don't know how many hours. But the most scary things was his aura. He had this dark " Do not mess with me" aura which did reckless things to my body and I shivered under his glaring green eyes which were now pointing towards me.
The girl stomped her feet and clutched her bag and went past me out of the door pushing my shoulder out of the process and giving me a dirty look, I balanced myself and adjusted my dress.
"Who are you?" The man spoke with a husky yet deadly voice.
"I'm Sangavi Carter and I'm here for the job" I replied trying not to stutter and make a fool out of myself on the first day. He was really intimidating and I squirmed under his intense glare.
He adjusted his suite and buttoned up the few buttons of his inner shirt and glared at me.
"Well welcome Miss Carter, I'm your Boss and the CEO of this Bank, Caleb Theller" he said casually and walked towards me.
Every step he took, I took one back. I felt so small as he towered over me. My chest began to rise and fall rapidly.
What was happening?
"Shall we start now Miss Carter?" He said as he stopped a few inches in front of me. I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion.
"Start What Sir?" I asked and to my disbelief he smirked evilly, his eyes glinting mischievously "Oh its nothing. Only With your punishment for being late on your first Day Miss Carter".
My eyes widened and I mentally punched myself on my face.
Oh what have I got myself into?

On Christmas Eve, I aborted the CEO's child
On Christmas Eve night, my husband brought his mistress home and demanded that I, his pregnant wife, leave with nothing.
On this day, I lost my husband and also lost the child in my womb...
I Loved You in Silence, You Betrayed Me in French
At my birthday party, my husband whispered to his mistress in French that he missed her. His voice was low, but I heard it all—the black lingerie, the bit about how pregnancy makes you more sensitive. His French clients around us were laughing. He turned and put his arm around me, claiming he was just helping his clients come up with sweet nothings.
He doesn't know I understand every single word. Just like he doesn't know that inside my body, I'm carrying his other surprise. And his mistress—she's pregnant too. Two wombs, one secret.
Confrontation would be too cheap. Tears are worthless. I quietly started cataloging the hidden networks my father left behind, activating the Swiss accounts.
In seven days, Zoey Smith will cease to exist. And what will my husband's reaction be?
When I Disappeared, He Regretted It
The moment the screen lit up, my entire world came crashing down.
The woman on the bed was Calista - that girl who grew up with us since we were kids. And that hand caressing her skin was wearing the wedding ring I had personally put on Matteo's finger.
"I've missed you so much..."
"You drive me crazy, baby..."
Those sweet words I knew so well completely destroyed me.
Everyone said we were the perfect couple, but who knew this marriage was built on nothing but lies?
Since he's so good at acting, I guess it's time I gave him a show of my own. I'm going to make sure everyone sees what this "perfect husband" really is...
He Never Loved Me, Until I Left
I put away the divorce agreement with a wry smile.
When he and my son completely disappeared, he finally panicked.
Three months later .
He knelt down on the streets of Chicago in despair, begging me to remarry him.
My six-year-old son looked coldly at his biological father and said, "Get lost, you bad uncle! You don't deserve to be my dad!"
He Thought I'd Never Leave
When he said he was being bullied, I believed him. When he kissed me on that rooftop, I thought he felt the same. When he asked me to transfer schools with him, I said yes without hesitation.
Then I heard him bragging to his friends: "She'd save her first time for me. Hell, she'd still be thinking of me on her wedding night."
The bullying was staged. The kiss meant nothing. He just wanted me gone—so his new girl could feel more comfortable.
He thought I'd beg. He thought I'd cry. He thought I'd never actually leave.
I left the country.
And ran straight into his stepbrother.
Bury Me in His Regret
The kidnapper pressed the gun to my temple and asked, "Choose your wife or your sister-in-law?"
Zachary didn't hesitate. "Let Valerie go," he said.
He actually chose to save his sister-in-law! In that moment, even the baby in my belly seemed to stop kicking.
Later, they locked me in the basement. Drugs to delay labor were pumped into my veins over and over. Zachary wanted to save the "firstborn son" status for his sister-in-law's child.
When warm blood finally soaked through my skirt, I dialed the number I knew by heart with shaking hands.
"Zachary," I whispered into the phone, "our child... can't wait any longer."
The Kidney That Killed Me
A few months ago, my sister was hospitalized with kidney failure. The doctor said she needed a transplant. My family's first thought was me—the backup daughter they'd kept around all these years.
When my husband Allen took my hand with tears in his eyes and said, "Only you can save her," I agreed without hesitation.
When the doctor explained the surgical risks and potential complications, I smiled and nodded my understanding.
My parents said I'd finally learned what sisterly love meant.
Even Allen, who'd always been cold to me, held my hand gently and said, "The surgery's safe. You're so healthy, nothing will go wrong. When you recover, I'll take you to Hawaii."
But they don't know that no matter how the surgery goes, I won't be around to celebrate.
Because I just got my own test results—I have terminal brain cancer. I'm going to die anyway.
After the Affair: Falling into a Billionaire's Arms
From first crush to wedding vows, George Capulet and I had been inseparable. But in our seventh year of marriage, he began an affair with his secretary.
On my birthday, he took her on vacation. On our anniversary, he brought her to our home and made love to her in our bed...
Heartbroken, I tricked him into signing divorce papers.
George remained unconcerned, convinced I would never leave him.
His deceptions continued until the day the divorce was finalized. I threw the papers in his face: "George Capulet, from this moment on, get out of my life!"
Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."
Alpha Nicholas's Little Mate
What? No—wait… oh Moon Goddess, no.
Please tell me you're joking, Lex.
But she's not. I can feel her excitement bubbling under my skin, while all I feel is dread.
We turn the corner, and the scent hits me like a punch to the chest—cinnamon and something impossibly warm. My eyes scan the room until they land on him. Tall. Commanding. Beautiful.
And then, just as quickly… he sees me.
His expression twists.
"Fuck no."
He turns—and runs.
My mate sees me and runs.

Can they both work on letting go of the past and moving forward together or will fate have different plans and keep them apart?
The Human Among Wolves
My stomach twisted, but he wasn’t finished.
"You're just a pathetic little human," Zayn said, his words deliberate, each one hitting like a slap. "Spreading your legs for the first guy who bothers to notice you."
Heat rushed to my face, burning with humiliation. My chest ached — not from his words alone, but from the sick realization that I had trusted him. That I had let myself believe he was different.
I was so, so stupid.

Accardi
“I thought you said you were done chasing me?” Gen mocked.
“I am done chasing you.”
Before she could formulate a witty remark, Matteo threw her down. She landed hard on her back atop his dining room table. She tried to sit up when she noticed what he was doing. His hands were working on his belt. It came free of his pants with a violent yank. She collapsed back on her elbows, her mouth gaping open at the display. His face was a mask of sheer determination, his eyes were a dark gold swimming with heat and desire. His hands wrapped around her thighs and pulled her to the edge of the table. He glided his fingers up her thighs and hooked several around the inside of her panties. His knuckles brushed her dripping sex.
“You’re soaking wet, Genevieve. Tell me, was it me that made you this way or him?” his voice told her to be careful with her answer. His knuckles slid down through her folds and she threw her head back as she moaned. “Weakness?”
“You…” she breathed.
