Introduction
Mira goes back home to meet a divorce, and not only that, but she also discovers her husband has been cheating on her with her step-sister, and they both tricked her into signing her inheritance over to them.
She was humiliated and thrown out of the house only for her to be saved, but her savior turned out to be the man she had a nightstand with, and he was proposing to her a contract marriage and a chance to get revenge on all those who hurt her.
Should she accept it? Could she trust him?
5 years later, she returned to New York City with her little Triplets kids for some business deals and to finish all that her ex-husband started.
EXCEPT.
"What the fuck were you doing with my brother you slut!" Ken yells, fury obvious through his orbs as he clenches his hand into a fist, veins almost bulging out of his forehead.
"Isn't it obvious?" I throw back his question, my lips curling into a smile.
"Dear Ex-husband, Why Don't You Call Me Sister-in-law?"
Chapter 1
Mirabelle's POV.
I felt bubbles rumbling in my tummy as I excitedly walked down the long hallway of a famous hotel suite in New York. I stopped midway after noticing the countless doors along the way.
A remembrance flashed across my head, so I hurriedly took out my phone. I squinted my eyes at the screen, struggling to read through the text my husband, Ken Sylvester, had sent to me earlier this evening, in my intoxicated state.
(I am sorry for how I treated you earlier today, Mira. And I would love to make it up to you. I will be waiting for you in Lorenzo’s five-star hotel in suite 901.) Read the text.
Earlier today, I went to the bar for the first time in many months, just to drown myself in alcohol, aiming to take away the pain within me.
Want to know why I went there?
Well, my husband had threatened to file for a divorce, with the false accusation of me seeing another man outside our marriage, and he vowed that he would divorce me if I dared to cheat on him again.
I tried to make him understand that he was wrong and that I was not seeing anyone, but he refused to believe me. I felt hurt and devastated, so I went to my last resort, which was the bar, to drown my tears.
Now, he sent an apology text, asking me to come over. Truth be told, I could not hide the excitement I felt in my heart, and I couldn't even wait to know how he was going to make it up to me!
With a wide smile on my heart-shaped lip after reading the text message, I shifted my gaze away from my phone as I searched for the room with the number '901’ as written in the text.
"901," I slurred as soon as my half-open eyes sighted the fancy door a few feet from where I stood with the room number tag on it.
Sauntering drunkenly to the door like an intoxicated chicken, I reached out to the door and was about to turn the handle when it suddenly swung open. I fell into the room, plunging onto the marble tiles, making me shriek loudly in terror.
"Ahh!" It escaped my mouth as I prepared myself for the impact of the fall.
But strangely enough, it's like Ken had anticipated what was going to happen because the pain never came; rather, my busty boobs collided with the surface of his muscular chest.
A heavy breath of relief escaped my mouth, slightly happy that the fall was prevented, but the door behind me slammed shut before I could look up at him.
The double clicks of the door pierced into my ears, and the room went dark.
"Erm_Ken. Turn on the lights. I can't see anything. Where is the damned switch?" I cussed, leaving his hold as I searched for the light switch so I could turn it on, but his grip around my waist tightened.
He pulled me to him, pressing my busty boobs against his firm chest.
His thumb gently caressed my plump wet lips, shutting me up as he leaned in on me.
My skin felt a minty breath fanning my sensitive spot as he spoke into my ear softly, "You're doing a lot of talking lately, little kitten. Keep It down..."
I don't know how he did it, but Ken's words made me oblige to his words, succumbing to his manly hands as I inhaled the scent of his manly cologne.
It smelled so different and satisfying that I was sure I could recognize it anywhere.
Did he change his perfume? It smells very different from what I could recall.
"You are such a good little kitten, aren't you?" I heard him praise me with a pleasant chuckle.
I smiled at him, his laughter sounding like music in my ears. My lips dropped down in shock as I couldn't believe I finally heard Ken laugh after so long.
He unexpectedly swept my feet off the ground and carried me in a bridal style to the king-size bed in the middle of the master bedroom.
My little frame was gently laid on it, and I felt him getting close, and before I could whine or complain, his tender lip crashed into mine in a slow burn manner.
Moving to my earlobe unhurriedly, he sucked on it delicately and a soft moan escaped my lip as I turned my face away from him.
I never anticipated that this was the way Ken planned on making it up to me when he sent the text. I mean, who would be ready for such unplanned stuff? At least, I knew it most definitely couldn't be me.
I heard a light-hearted chuckle from Ken, and my gaze returned to his face in the darkness. "You're scared?" He asked.
Of course, I was scared. I mean, who wouldn't be?
I immediately shook my head in denial. "No, I'm not. Just that..."
I know y'all are thinking I'm crazy. But you didn't expect me to just blurt out that I was scared of having my first night, did you? You must be kidding me right now if you did.
"That's what? You're not ready for it?" He asked again, and my eyes stretched wide open.
I couldn’t help but wonder how he kept doing this. Did he just guess it or what?
I bobbed my head in response. Okay, guys, I had to just tell the truth. Then it hit me that Ken couldn't see me in the dark.
"Ye...Yes," I whispered with a slight tremor in my voice.
His finger lightly brushed my hair away from my face and tucked it behind my ear; his recent loving gestures warmed my heart each time he did it.
"Don't be scared, Kitten. I will take it easy on you, hmm?" He reassured me.
My cheeks heated up, and a gulp ran down my throat as my hands gathered the bedspread on both sides.
"Okay," I whispered, giving him the permission he needed to carry on, and I felt a tender peck on my cheek, which made a smile curve up my lip.
My clothes gradually left my body as he showered kisses all over my skin, leaving behind hickeys on my milky skin as we finally got engrossed in the fiery night of raw pleasure.

He Never Loved Me, Until I Left
I put away the divorce agreement with a wry smile.
When he and my son completely disappeared, he finally panicked.
Three months later .
He knelt down on the streets of Chicago in despair, begging me to remarry him.
My six-year-old son looked coldly at his biological father and said, "Get lost, you bad uncle! You don't deserve to be my dad!"
When I Disappeared, He Regretted It
The moment the screen lit up, my entire world came crashing down.
The woman on the bed was Calista - that girl who grew up with us since we were kids. And that hand caressing her skin was wearing the wedding ring I had personally put on Matteo's finger.
"I've missed you so much..."
"You drive me crazy, baby..."

I Loved You in Silence, You Betrayed Me in French
At my birthday party, my husband whispered to his mistress in French that he missed her. His voice was low, but I heard it all—the black lingerie, the bit about how pregnancy makes you more sensitive. His French clients around us were laughing. He turned and put his arm around me, claiming he was just helping his clients come up with sweet nothings.
He doesn't know I understand every single word. Just like he doesn't know that inside my body, I'm carrying his other surprise. And his mistress—she's pregnant too. Two wombs, one secret.
Confrontation would be too cheap. Tears are worthless. I quietly started cataloging the hidden networks my father left behind, activating the Swiss accounts.
In seven days, Zoey Smith will cease to exist. And what will my husband's reaction be?

What? No—wait… oh Moon Goddess, no.
Please tell me you're joking, Lex.
But she's not. I can feel her excitement bubbling under my skin, while all I feel is dread.
We turn the corner, and the scent hits me like a punch to the chest—cinnamon and something impossibly warm. My eyes scan the room until they land on him. Tall. Commanding. Beautiful.
And then, just as quickly… he sees me.
His expression twists.
"Fuck no."
He turns—and runs.
My mate sees me and runs.

The Human Among Wolves
My stomach twisted, but he wasn’t finished.
"You're just a pathetic little human," Zayn said, his words deliberate, each one hitting like a slap. "Spreading your legs for the first guy who bothers to notice you."
Heat rushed to my face, burning with humiliation. My chest ached — not from his words alone, but from the sick realization that I had trusted him. That I had let myself believe he was different.
I was so, so stupid.

His deceptions continued until the day the divorce was finalized. I threw the papers in his face: "George Capulet, from this moment on, get out of my life!"
Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."

My back hit the desk. Pain exploded through my skull.
"Girls like you don't get to dream about guys like Kai." Bella's breath was hot on my face. "You don't get to write pathetic love letters."
She shoved me again. Harder.
"Maybe if you weren't such a desperate little—"
I fell. My head cracked against the corner.
Warmth trickled down my neck. Blood.
Their laughter turned to gasps.
The door slammed.
I tried to stand. Couldn't. The room was spinning, fading to black.
