Introduction

Underestimated…

That is what I have been almost all my life just because I am a female, a woman, a lady... but I understand… this world is filled with egotistic and chauvinistic men that need to be taught a lesson and I am more than happy to do so…

My life has never been all fun and roses… I still had my mum and brothers but it will never be the same without my father. I may be of age. Far past the finding your mate age but that doesn't mean I am in a hurry to get a mate not that I don't want one. I do but I'm just not in a hurry.

But the goddess ad fate as always did the exact opposite of what my heart desired… they brought my mate to my doorstep and I took it with a determined heart but I was in for a surprise.

My mate wanted another yet he didn't want to let me go. He wanted to eat his cake and have it. Forgetting that life doesn't work that way. He welcomed me into his home and pack with a happy face yet I was being disrespected, ridiculed and pitied behind my back.

I may act ignorant but I'm no fool. I like to plan my actions before I take it so that I would be well prepared for the consequences that may follow. And as usual my new pack comes first before my needs but that doesn't stop me from showing my mate that he messed with the wrong bitch.

Because I was named CHAOS for a reason. I am going to tear into his conscience and torment the living daylights out of him for I may be a bitch.

But I am nobody's bitch…

Chapter 1

Underestimated... All my life, I have been underestimated and in as much as it had been annoying. It had favored me in so many fights and trials.

My father died years after I was born. Before I could even walk and talk. His time here on earth was due and he had to return to his world. but every now and then, he makes an appearance to my two older brothers; Lucas and Lucien and I so we know that he's still with us and never forgotten.

My mother, Celeste, the Alpha of our pack, raised her kids with an iron fist behind closed doors and spoiled us in the eyes of the pack and world. Because I'm a girl some of you probably think she went easy on me.

Well... No... If she trained my brothers five times hard, she trained me fifteen times harder and ruthlessly too at that.

She is a tough woman, who had fought so many battles and won and she had scars and tattoos to prove it too... she commanded respect and she has earned it duly.

Her warriors and pack members literally worship the ground she walks on and look on with pride, loyalty and uttermost respect whenever she walks by or around the pack, calls for a meeting or lead them to wage war on a deserving pack.

Our pack, the Midnight Chaos is one of the third strongest and fierce packs in our state and its surroundings and other packs as well as rouges knew not to cross my mother just because she is a woman and therefore underestimated her. Their first mistake and funeral.

Many have lost their lives for thinking that women like my mother were an inferiority complex and the weakest and therefore didn't deserve the Alpha position and my mother was always ecstatic to put such chauvinistic men in their place.

my mother may have somehow known that I will be 'blessed'... note the rich sarcasm... with an egotistic, chauvinistic man and lord knows what else so she's molded me into a strong, analytic, independent tough woman that I am today.

I also have battle scars to show and tattoos which I tell you hurt like hell. You know as werewolves, the ink used for the tattoo on our skin won't stay because of our fast healing metabolism and it had to be mixed with silver our kryptonite for it to stay and take hold.

I swear it hurt like a bitch to the extent that I wanted to scream but I couldn't because my beloved mother stood at the doorway smiling down at me with a sickly-sweet smile and I had to toughen up since I told my mum and I quote,

‘I'm strong and old enough to have some tattoos. It's a tattoo and it couldn't be that hard or painful'....

I whined the whole time it took to heal to my mother and brothers in the confines of our home of course which was a few meters away from the pack house because should Mama Alpha catch me doing that in front of the pack, I would have earned myself double time during training and my normal training time kills me as it is...

Well now to present time, we are preparing for the arrival of Alpha M.J River. The Alpha of The Silver River Pack, the largest and most fierce pack in our state with surprisingly one of the most mysterious Alpha's ever known.

A lot of people outside his pack don't even know what he looked like and those who knew never speak about it. Nobody really knows much about him except for his name and even with that we all have to keep wondering what the initials in his name stand for.

No one visits his pack for some unknown reason. You never go to him, he comes to you that is if he considers your summon. Which is very rare so it's a big deal for everyone in my pack but not me. I have so much to do like training, pack duties and more training before bed.

Well I went about with my business and was going up to my room to catch a much-deserved sleep when my oldest brother, Lucas stopped me in the way.

"Hi Luke" I said with a soft smile

"Hi little sis" he said with a smug smile knowing how much I hated that title.

"What do you want Luke? I want to get in bed already"

"Well too bad you can't. Mum said to tell you that Alpha River and his entourage will be here soon and we all need to be there to greet him. So, dress up and be there so she wouldn't have to come up and drag you which she will."

"Ah shit... whatever. Tell her I will be down in a moment." I said whiles running upstairs to get ready because I knew what my mother was capable of.

Ten minutes later, I was walking down the stairs in my trade mark dress code of black. I may be a girl but I hate all colors except black, maroon and preferably grey.

My rather dark hair in a tight ponytail on top of my head. A black shirt with the sleeves rolled up to my elbows, neatly tucked into my black high waist jeans with my black combat boots to finish my look.

As soon as I was in my mother's presence, I nodded in greeting and watched as she analyzed my dressing before giving her nod of approval. My brothers joined later and we all stepped out onto the compound to wait for our visitors.

It didn't take long before a number of black jeeps came speeding into our compound and packing a few feet away from where my family and I stood.

Together with our beta, Raymond Moore, our Gamma; Victoria Daniels and our head warrior, Marcus Jones. I could feel the apprehension and anticipation in the air from the pack members gathered around but I couldn't fret so I did what I do best.

Masking my emotions and schooling my heartbeat into a regular rhythm. The blank mask and cold glint in my eyes must have been intense because the beta of the silver river pack did a double take when he saw me perhaps to make sure he saw my expression right.

He kept his eyes on me with an amused glint in his eyes as his Alpha stepped down from the car. They both walked forward, leaving their entourage of warriors near the car. They took a couple of steps forward till they were standing a few feet away from us.

I watched as my mother slipped into Alpha mode right before she started speaking;

'Welcome to my pack. I am Alpha Celeste Chaos" she said whiles extending her hands to greet the Alpha and his beta who responded with their names

"Alpha River" the Alpha responded

"Beta Matthews" his beta responded

"Good... well the rest will introduce themselves then we can go inside."

"Am Lucas Chaos and this is my brother Lucien" My oldest brother introduced him and his twin to the Alpha and Beta with a handshake each.

With the blank mask on my face, I reached out to shake the Alpha's hand only to feel tingles shooting up my hands. I looked up to face him only to have my wolf Havoc, scream out the one word I knew would shatter my peaceful life 'mate'.

How I had not smelled him before shocked me. I tried to fish for a scent only to come up empty. That rose my suspicions as to why he kept his scent cloaked.

The shock that rushed through me broke my blank facade before hurriedly putting it back in place again. I took a brief moment to study his physique and to say I wasn't impressed and oddly aroused would be a blatant lie. The man was packed with muscles in the right places.

The Alpha though stood still with my hand locked in his as he watched me in silence.

He didn't even show any reaction that I was his mate. Hell, his eyes only flashed for a second, to show his wolf's presence before it was gone.

Clearing my throat softly, I took every emotion out of my voice before I spoke;

"My name is K.D Chaos... but you only call me Chaos." I said coldly before pulling my hand out of the Alpha's hand and moving on to shake his beta's hand who continued to watch me closely.

The rest of the introductions followed and soon we were all moving to the packs conference room to discuss the purpose of the Silver River pack's visit.

I am seated opposite the Alpha of said pack and he hasn't taken his eyes off of me along with his creepy beta and it was starting to piss me off. Turning to look at my mother at the head of the table, I shook my head curtly as she jumped straight into the matters of the meeting.

I swear that woman doesn't know how to even sweet talk someone or grovel to get something. She's always blunt which I appreciate in cases like this as she called out the Alpha and his Beta to stop staring at me like a piece of meat.

What happened next was like a chain reaction and a display of typical alpha behavior as the Alpha let out a spine shivering growl in his beta's direction before he was thrown from his seat into a near-by wall.

Some moved from their seats whiles my mother watched on with boredom before I guess something clicked in her mind because she turned towards me and narrowed her eyes at me.

I avoided her gaze causing to yell through our mind link for me to explain myself. When I refused to answer, she turned to Alpha River and asked bluntly.

"Alpha River, is there a reason why my conference room is being used as a boxing arena or is this kind of game common between you and your beta? If that is so, then we can show you where our training grounds are so you could continue"

This snapped the said alpha out of his trance with an embarrassed smile tugging at the corners of his lips before vanishing whiles the rest of us tried to stifle our laughter. My mother's bluntness knows no bounds.

Clearing his throat, he turned to look at me and chuckled softly when he probably saw that I was trying to evade his gaze before turning to my mother and saying what I wished he hadn't said.

"Well you see, Alpha Celeste, Chaos here happens to be my mate and I just don't get why she's trying to act like I'm not"

A sharp retort was on the tip of my tongue but before I could respond my mother was already on it.

Mama Alpha chuckled softly whiles my stupid brothers laughed. My mother opened her mouth to talk all the while taunting me through our mind link.

"Well forgive my daughter. She's weird that way. It makes me wonder at times if perhaps I dropped her unknowingly during her childhood or her father may have done that when I wasn't looking. Well she'll come around. she always does" she said bluntly and rather seriously causing me to stare at her in shock whiles screaming at her through our mind link which she responded by laughing with my stupid brothers joining in.

Those in the conference room tried to hide their laughter behind coughs and throat clearing whiles Mr. Alpha was smiling smugly and his beta was full blown laughing. Rolling my eyes at them, I pushed my chair back and walked out of the room to pack up knowing I will be leaving with my mate whether I liked it or not now that he's found me.

On my birthday, he took her on vacation. On our anniversary, he brought her to our home and made love to her in our bed...

Heartbroken, I tricked him into signing divorce papers.

George remained unconcerned, convinced I would never leave him.

His deceptions continued until the day the divorce was finalized. I threw the papers in his face: "George Capulet, from this moment on, get out of my life!"

Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.

When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.

"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"

George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"

"I'm afraid that's impossible."

Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."

"White wolf! Kill that monster!"
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.
