Dying to Please Them

Introduction
I gave up the treatment plan that doctors said could save my life and swallowed strong pain-blocking medication. The consequence was organ failure and death within three days.
During these three days, I gave up everything.
When I gave all my hard-earned achievements to Laura, my parents smiled with relief.
When Patrick presented the divorce papers and I signed them readily, he sighed and said I was very sensible.
When I pushed Anna to call Laura "mom," she said excitedly that mommy was the best.
Even when I transferred all my properties and assets to Laura, they didn't notice anything wrong.
They just looked at me with relief and said: "Our sensible Flora has finally come back."
But I'm also curious - after I die, will they ever think of me?
Chapter 1
Under the Doctor's Compassionate Gaze, I Swallowed the Pain-Blocking Medication
I had 3 days left until my death.
After taking the medication, I went to Laura's hospital room. Inside, Dad was peeling an orange for Laura while Mom chatted with her. When they saw me enter, the smiles on my parents' faces instantly turned cold.
"What now? Can't keep up the act of being sick anymore and planning to pick on Laura again? Flora, I'm telling you, as long as we're here, don't even think about bullying Laura!" Dad looked at me, his voice ice-cold.
"Our family has always had strict upbringing. I don't know where you learned to be so bad, being jealous of Laura and even stealing her chemotherapy opportunity."
"I should never have given birth to you in the first place!" Mom pointed at me, scolding.
In a corner where my parents couldn't see, Laura smiled at me, her eyes full of provocation.
I lowered my gaze. I had heard these words from my parents countless times before. In the past, I would have definitely argued with them and publicly exposed Laura's facade, even though my parents never believed a single word I said. But now I was tired, truly didn't want to fight anymore.
"But it's good that you're here. I have something I want to discuss with you," Dad said then.
I smiled slightly. "Dad, I also have something to tell you."
"Doesn't Laura want my business and company? I've thought it over—give it all to her!"
Dad was stunned for a moment, and Mom looked at me with some surprise.
"How did you know I was going to talk to you about this today? You're agreeing?"
I tugged at the corner of my mouth lightly. No wonder they were surprised and repeatedly confirming. Laura had wanted my business and company for a long time. To make me give all my hard-earned achievements to Laura, my parents had said every good and bad word possible, but I had never relented. However, now that I was going to die, these things had become meaningless.
Seeing that I looked serious, Mom finally smiled with relief and stepped forward to pat my head.
"You've finally come to your senses!"
"Laura has always been more outstanding than you since school. Although she's sick now, her financial management abilities are stronger than yours."
"We're very relieved that you're handing over your business and company to her."
I tugged at the corner of my mouth lightly and handed the transfer agreement to Laura. After my parents saw Laura sign it, they happily held my hand and kept saying "good child."
A faint irony arose in my heart. How ridiculous—only when I yielded to Laura would Mom show me a smile. But I was also curious: if Mom discovered Laura's true face and found out after my death, would she and Dad regret it?
In the evening, I returned home to see my husband Patrick and daughter Anna cooking in the kitchen. Perhaps because I was in the terminal stage of cancer, I closed the door more gently. The father and daughter were laughing and cooking as if they hadn't heard anything.
Patrick served the dish and turned to see me. The smile on his face froze for a moment before returning to normal.
"Flora, when did you come back? Why didn't we hear anything?"
I quietly looked at the dish in Patrick's hands, Laura's favorite. Judging by its appearance, it had the standard of a professional chef.
How ironic—I was about to die before I learned that Patrick, who had lived with me for 5 years, could cook. In the past, he would always complain about my cooking, and under Patrick's "influence," Anna gradually began to dislike me too.
I had worried and worked hard for this family, but in the end, I gained not an ounce of respect. In the past, I might have already started having a hysterical breakdown. But now I just calmly walked around them and sat on the sofa, organizing the things in my bag.
Seeing my silence, Patrick paused in place, put the dish on the table, and walked over.
"Flora, today I have something I want to discuss with you."
Patrick somewhat unnaturally touched his nose, hesitated for a moment, but still spoke:
"It's about your sister Laura."
My heart sank, and a bad thought suddenly surged up. The next second, Patrick's words left me stunned in place:
"After Laura finished her cancer chemotherapy, her emotions have been very low, so your parents want me to marry Laura. Perhaps this way things might get better."

The Pack: Rule Number 1 - No Mates
"Let me go," I whimper, my body trembling with need. "I don't want you touching me."
I fall forward onto the bed then turn around to stare at him. The dark tattoos of Domonic's chiseled shoulders, quiver and and expand with the heave of his chest. His deep dimpled smile is full of arrogance as he reaches behind himself to lock the door.
Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."

The War God Alpha's Arranged Bride
Yet Alexander made his decision clear to the world: “Evelyn is the only woman I will ever marry.”
I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
Oops, Wrong Girl to Bully
My back hit the desk. Pain exploded through my skull.
"Girls like you don't get to dream about guys like Kai." Bella's breath was hot on my face. "You don't get to write pathetic love letters."
She shoved me again. Harder.
"Maybe if you weren't such a desperate little—"
I fell. My head cracked against the corner.
Warmth trickled down my neck. Blood.
Their laughter turned to gasps.
The door slammed.
I tried to stand. Couldn't. The room was spinning, fading to black.
Someone... please...

The Biker Alpha Who Became My Second Chance Mate
"You're like a sister to me."
Those were the actual words that broke the camel's back.
Not after what just happened. Not after the hot, breathless, soul-shaking night we spent tangled in each other's arms.
I knew from the beginning that Tristan Hayes was a line I shouldn't cross.
He wasn't just anyone, he was my brother's best friend. The man I spent years secretly wanting.
But that night... we were broken. We had just buried our parents. And the grief was too heavy, too real...so I begged him to touch me.
To make me forget. To fill the silence that death left behind.
And he did. He held me like I was something fragile.
Kissed me like I was the only thing he needed to breathe.
Then left me bleeding with six words that burned deeper than rejection ever could.
So, I ran. Away from everything that cost me pain.
Now, five years later, I'm back.
Fresh from rejecting the mate who abused me. Still carrying the scars of a pup I never got to hold.
And the man waiting for me at the airport isn't my brother.
It's Tristan.
And he's not the guy I left behind.
He's a biker.
An Alpha.
And when he looked at me, I knew there was no where else to run to.
