The Chaos
Chapter Five: Chaos.
The council's assassins charge inside. Aiden was beginning to shift, his eyes glowing gold, his fingernails changing to claws.
He is frightened and trembling at the same time, his eyes widening as he stares at his hands.
Aldrich knew shifting for a first time did hurt badly and wished he could endure the pain on behalf of his mate.
Fiona and Grants take their position making sure no assassin comes close to Aiden and Aldrich.
“So much for a make out session”, Merrick said jokingly.
An assassin launched forward. Grants uses elemental ability to make spikes from the earth, piercing them through the skull.
Fiona's claw slices another figure. “Take that”, she laughed.
Merrick shifts mid air, taking down as many attackers as possible.
Aiden began to scream, his scream echoed piercing every corner of the mansion. His heat sent pain surging through body and bone. His eyes fully gold, the crescent sign burning on his collar bone.
Aldrich puts him down for a minute.
“Endure, Aiden. It's gonna pass, you are stronger than you think and it's only your first time that's why it hurts.”
A figure tries to attack Aldrich. He stabbed them in the throat, blood splatter all over the ground.
Another assassin lunges to stab Aiden, he reflectively raises his hand to defend himself. A gold aura blasting this assassin away burning them to ashes.
“What did I just do, what just happened?”Aiden stared at his hands shaking.
“I have never seen that before in all my life, that's a lot right there, " said Merrick as everyone freezes.
Aiden might actually be more powerful than they think.
The leader of the assassins stepped forward.
“You think you can protect the moon child. You are a fool, Aldrich. You and your team better move aside. This can just be so easy, and you would all live here alive”
“If the Moon’s child mate before the next blood moon, he would be the only one that can assess the Alpha Prime. The Alpha Prime would rise and could be used to end The Council of Nine.”
“ We need his blood to control the Alpha Prime before that ever happens”, he points his old shrinking finger at Aiden.
“You are the bigger fool here. It would be so much better if the Alpha Prime is used to destroy every one of your evil clan”, replied Aldrich.
“I guess, you want it the hard way..We would make sure that doesn't happen, Aldrich. Don't say I never warned you”
Aiden realized his blood was needed for a sacrifice, these people wanted him dead. He fell into Aldrich's arms before he could hit the ground, the power and heat was draining and overwhelming.
“Aldrich, what's happening to me.I'm burning…please help, make it stop”, he whispered weakly.
Aldrich holds him possessively, kissing his forehead ignoring the fight going on.
Aiden weakly grabbed his shirt. “Don't let me die”, tears running from his eyes.
Aldrich held him closer, “I won't let that happen”. He took Aiden in his hand as he tried getting him to safety and away from here.
A dark figure, a warlock and one of the council of the nine leaders chants a spell. A portal suddenly opens.
Shadows wrapped around Aiden's limbs swiftly yanking him from Aldrich’s arms.
Aldrich yelled and roared in rage, snarling and clawing at the shadows.
“Aldrich!!”
Aiden yelled before being sucked into the portal
lt closes, leaving a blood stained and severely clawed floor..
“Aldrich, good morning”, a soft lip pressed his cheek. Aldrich opens his eyes to see Liora beside him resting on his chest.
“My Queen, good morning. I hope you slept well?”, he kisses her forehead.
He steps out of bed. “I have some court affairs to deal with. I hope I come back on time.”
“How is my baby doing?”, he kisses her protruding stomach.
“It kicks often when you are around. Must love you so much already. I'm jealous”
“I would come back in time today. I promise”, he kisses her one more time.
He steps out of his bed chamber. The sky suddenly went dark, as it went from day to night, everywhere became windy and stormy.
Hundreds of thousands of bats flew in the air. Aldrich runs back into his bed chamber.
“Liora! Liora!”, he yelled.
He found her sitting by the window, facing outside.
She slowly turned to him, her eyes dark and lifeless.
“Aldrich, help”,she whispered before tossing herself outside the window.
“No! Liora”, Aldrich roared, going after her but only to see her fall into the darkness below.
Aldrich gasped, sweating and breathing heavily, waking up from his nightmare. He looked around, he was now in his bedroom.
“Finally awake. Went unconscious after your mate was forcefully taken away”, The team stood around him.
“Aiden, Aiden. We need to get him back”
