Introduction
Chapter 1
North Atlantic Misty Waters, Black Island.
On both sides of the airport road was a shocking scene.
Hundreds of prisoners in handcuffs and leg irons knelt on both sides of the road, lined up neatly.
Among them were the world's number one assassin, leaders of top mercenary groups, and even super tycoons who once controlled a nation's economic lifeline.
At this moment, they all had their heads lowered.
At the end of the road, a tall young man with blond hair and blue eyes walked slowly forward.
His name was David Jones.
He stood six feet tall, with muscles that brought to mind ancient Greek sculptures, his broad shoulders filling out a black T-shirt.
The Black Island warden followed beside him, smiling and bowing.
"Mr. Jones, congratulations on completing your sentence. The helicopter is ready. Take care."
The warden's tone was quite humble, his forehead covered in cold sweat.
Just then, a heavily armored prison transport vehicle came speeding up and, with a sharp screech of brakes, stopped nearby.
The door opened, and several fully armed guards escorted a muscular man out.
The man had messy hair and rock-hard muscles.
The warden recognized who it was and couldn't help swallowing.
Skinner Martin, known as "The Devourer," the uncrowned king of the dark world!
Rumor had it he was an escaped experimental subject from some large secret organization, possessing the terrifying strength to tear apart armored vehicles with his bare hands.
His influence spread throughout the underground world. Only because he offended some super consortium was he hunted down and destroyed, and he himself was sent to Black Island.
"Damn it! Why today of all days!"
The warden cursed inwardly and waved his hand, ordering the guards beside him to strengthen security.
However, something unexpected happened.
Skinner suddenly exerted force with both arms, and the thick alloy handcuffs snapped!
He roared and pushed off with his legs, lunging toward David, who was closest to him.
He wanted to take a hostage!
He wanted to escape this hellhole!
Several guards didn't even have time to raise their guns before Skinner's outstretched hand was about to grab David's shoulder.
David stopped walking and didn't turn around.
He slightly shifted his body, the muscles in his right arm instantly tensing, and his palm slapped toward Skinner's face.
A dull, heavy sound.
Skinner's massive body spun three full rotations in the air before crashing heavily onto the hard pavement more than ten feet away.
Spider-web cracks appeared in the hard pavement.
Skinner foamed at the mouth and passed out.
Those prisoners kneeling on the ground, each with terrifyingly powerful backgrounds, trembled and buried their heads even lower.
David withdrew his hand, pulled a white handkerchief from his pocket, wiped his hand, and casually threw the handkerchief on the ground.
He turned his head and looked at the warden, who was dripping with cold sweat.
"Keep better watch in the future. Not every time will I be here."
"Yes! Yes! You're absolutely right!" The warden bowed.
David paid him no more attention and walked straight toward the black helicopter on the tarmac.
As the roar of the propellers started up, the helicopter slowly lifted off.
Below, hundreds of high-profile terrorist prisoners looked up and sent David off with loud voices.
...
Inside the helicopter, David leaned back in the luxurious leather seat, resting with his eyes closed.
The past few years flashed through his mind like movie scenes.
He had been a genius in the biology department at Cambridge Institute of Technology, with a very promising future.
In his junior year, to protect his girlfriend Sophia Brown, he injured a tycoon and was forcibly sent to Black Island.
After entering Black Island, he met a mysterious old man who was suffering long-term torture from genetic collapse.
The mysterious old man learned that David had once been a biology genius and had him join the Black Island research team.
Under his leadership, the research team developed a new drug that cured the old man's illness.
In return, the old man passed on all the knowledge he had accumulated in the first half of his life to David and injected him with the K serum.
The K serum, this advanced cross-generational genetic drug, reshaped his body, giving him the strength to flip cars and the speed to dodge bullets.
More importantly, the serum developed his pineal gland, awakening his terrifying "telekinetic power."
Now he could even hear the heartbeat of a person standing dozens of feet away.
Three days ago, the old man told him his life on Black Island was over.
The old man handed him the trillion-dollar business empire "Summit Enterprises Ltd" and warned him that as the heir to Summit Enterprises Ltd, he would face all kinds of dangers.
But David wasn't afraid.
Over the years, he had grown up. He was no longer the "David" he used to be.
Three hours later, the helicopter landed smoothly at a private helipad on the coastline.
The cabin door opened.
Before his eyes were more than a hundred black bulletproof sedans.
Hundreds of elite bodyguards in suits and sunglasses stood in front of the cars, lined up neatly.
"Hello, Mr. Jones!"
The loud greeting echoed across the open space.
A middle-aged man quickly stepped forward and bowed respectfully. "Mr. Jones, I'm Raynor. The boss sent me to pick you up."
"Get up."
David stepped off the plane.
Raynor pulled out a document and handed it to David. "Mr. Jones, ownership of Summit Enterprises Ltd has been transferred to your name. This is a gift from the boss for your release, worth ten billion dollars."
David didn't take the document.
"Put those aside for now," David looked at the sea. "I'm going to see my uncle first."
Joseph Miller was his uncle and his only remaining family in this world.
"Understood," Raynor immediately handed over an exquisite gift box. "This is the custom handmade cigar you need. Also..."
Raynor paused and handed over a photo. "This is Sophia's recent situation."
David took the photo.
In the photo, Sophia was wearing a gorgeous dress, intimately holding the arm of the man whose leg he had broken years ago.
David crumpled the photo into a ball and casually tossed it into a nearby trash can.
"Let's go."
...
Half an hour later, a low-key black sedan stopped in front of an old apartment building in Queens.
David took the cigars and knocked on the door of the second-floor apartment.
The door opened. It was Joseph.
"...David?" Joseph froze, looking at the strong young man before him who was a head taller than himself, his tone surprised and delighted.
"Uncle, I'm back." David smiled.
"Quick! Come in!" Joseph hurriedly pulled David inside.
The furnishings inside were still shabby, with several repair marks still visible on the sofa.
Hearing the commotion, Joseph's wife Uma came out of the kitchen.
She wiped her hands and looked at David, her brow furrowing.
"David? You got out early?"
"Yes." David placed the cigars on the table.
Uma glanced at the box of cigars and snorted coldly.
"Didn't get your Cambridge degree, so what are you planning to do now? Live off us? I see you've gotten pretty strong. Tomorrow go ask at the supermarket on the corner if they still need workers to unload goods."
Joseph tugged at Uma's sleeve. "Uma, David just got back, why are you saying these things..."
"Am I wrong?" Uma glared at Joseph, her voice rising. "Can he find a good job now? Can he get an offer from a big company?"
David looked at Uma without showing any anger.
He knew very well that Uma was just materialistic, not a bad person.
If Joseph and Uma hadn't taken him in back then, he would have been living on the streets.
"No need, I already have plans."
Uma curled her lip. "Plans? Washing dishes or mowing lawns on the street? David, this is New York."
Just then, David's cousin Veda came out of the bedroom.
"Mom, who's here?" She asked casually while looking down at her phone messages.
When she looked up and saw David, she frowned, her tone full of disdain. "David? You actually got out of prison?"
She glanced at the wooden cigar box on the table without any logo. "You come to visit my dad and bring this kind of thing? It doesn't even have a logo. Don't tell me it's from a street stall?"
Only David knew that this box of cigars, specially supplied to the world's wealthy, was worth over two thousand dollars per stick.
"Veda! Shut up!" Before David could explain, Joseph scolded her. "He's your brother! Whatever he brings, it's his thoughtfulness!"
"I'm not wrong!" Veda looked aggrieved. "Don't you know what our family situation is right now?"
"We moved from a townhouse to this crappy apartment. Are we supposed to count on this just-released-from-prison David to help us out?"
Joseph's face turned red, but he couldn't refute it.

“There are no limits between us,” he chuckled, the mirth sparkling in his gorgeous eyes. “And all of this stems from the night you gave me both pain and pleasure. I’m simply returning the favor.”
He took two steps forward, and I stepped back. “But…” The memory of what I had done filled me with fear, and I knew I had to get out of there. “I…”

That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.
