Sophie Langston · Completed · 165.3k Words
Introduction
The second was my parents.
The third was my freedom, my eyes, and every reason to live.
My husband gave me to three men on our anniversary. He chained me in a doghouse while his mistress laughed. He fed me my own son’s remains and called it mercy.
He said I was dirty. He said I deserved it.
But the DNA test he trusted was a lie. The video was staged. And the woman he’s about to marry is the one who destroyed us all.
I tried to die. Four times.
Now I’m done trying.
They put a dead woman in the ground. They’re about to find out she brought hell back with her.
Chapter 1
"Let me go! I need to see Joshua!"
In the penthouse apartment of Avaloria, Sophia Hernandez screamed hoarsely. She thrashed against the ropes binding her wrists and ankles to the bed, her body spread in a brutally humiliating position. Her nine-month pregnant belly was fully exposed. Metal clamps pinched her nipples, milk leaking, the ache sharp and unrelenting.
"You're in no state to see anyone, Sophia." Rainey Ward lounged on the sofa, smiling at Sophia's naked body. "That filthy body of yours makes me sick just looking at it."
"Shut up!" Sophia yanked at the ropes. They bit deeper into her skin, blood trickling onto the sheets. "You framed me, Rainey! Those photos were fake!"
"So what if they're fake? He believed them." Rainey's smile widened. "Why else do you think you're tied up here like a bitch?"
Sophia's eyes turned bloodshot. She twisted like a madwoman, her scream tearing out of her throat. "I'm carrying Joshua's child! If he knew you were doing this, he'd kill you!"
"Almost forgot." Rainey straightened up, her gaze gleaming with pleasure. "Joshua already had a paternity test done on your amniotic fluid. The child isn't his. He told me to terminate it."
"That's impossible." Sophia shook her head, disbelief twisting her face. Five years of marriage. No other man had ever touched her.
"You forged the test—" A sudden, vicious cramp seized her uterus. She arched off the bed with a pained groan.
Rainey raised an eyebrow. "What's wrong, Sophia? Don't tell me you're going into labor?"
Sophia gasped, cold sweat pouring down her forehead. "Take me to the hospital... please."
"Since you're so desperate to have this bastard, let me help you." Rainey clapped her hands.
The bedroom door opened. Three naked men strode in, each stroking his erect penis. Their eyes locked onto Sophia's bound body, lewd grins curling their mouths.
Sophia's voice cracked. "Rainey... you're insane..."
Rainey walked to the tripod at the foot of the bed, switched on the camera, and aimed the lens at Sophia. "This is Avaloria's top model. She's dying to give birth right now. Whoever fucks that bastard out of her belly gets a rich reward."
The men's eyes lit up.
"Rainey—!" Sophia's scream was cut off as the first man lunged onto her like a starving beast. He tore the clamps off her nipples with his teeth and began sucking greedily.
Her hands tied, she couldn't push him away. She could only cry and scream.
The second man forced her legs apart and rammed his cock into her vagina. The third grabbed her chin and shoved his foul-smelling shaft into her mouth, stirring it with a look of bliss.
One man untied her hands for more leverage and bit down on her wrists.
The sheets twisted into knots, blood and fluids splattering across them. Saliva and tears ran down Sophia's face, broken whimpers escaping her throat. Her nine-month belly jolted violently with each thrust.
She could feel the baby descending.
The dual agony of contractions and penetration made her vision go dark again and again.
"No... please... don't..." Her pleas were muffled by the cock in her mouth.
Rainey stood behind the camera, a satisfied smile on her face, casually adjusting the angle.
Sophia's consciousness began to slip.
Warm liquid gushed from between her legs. Every impact felt like it would tear her uterus out of her belly. The sheets were quickly soaked with blood.
"Almost there—her water broke!" one man shouted excitedly.
"Well done." Rainey smiled. "Keep going. Don't stop."
"No!" Sophia's scream was swallowed by the men's panting.
Just as she was about to lose consciousness completely, the bedroom door was kicked open.
Joshua Thomas stood in the doorway. High-bridged nose, thin lips pressed into a line, eyes devoid of warmth. His entire presence radiated suffocating menace.
His gaze swept across the messy bed, Sophia's naked, violated body, the three men still on top of her. His face went dark, murderous.
The men scrambled off her in terror, falling to their knees, their cocks still slick with blood.
"Joshua!" Rainey's expression shifted instantly. She turned off the camera and hurried toward him, her face suddenly full of grievance, tears brimming in her eyes. "You're finally here. I tried to stop her—I told her not to do this while she's pregnant, but she insisted this was more exciting. I couldn't stop her..."
Joshua didn't look at her. His gaze stayed fixed on Sophia, semiconscious on the bed, her body streaked with filthy semen. His hands clenched at his sides.
"M-Mr. Thomas..." one man began.
Joshua cut him off, his voice low. "Take them out and shoot them. Feed the bodies to the dogs."
The three men collapsed, kowtowing desperately. "Mr. Thomas, please! Spare us! Ms. Ward told us to—"
Four bodyguards dragged them out. Gunshots echoed from the hallway a moment later.
Rainey flinched at the sound. She tugged carefully at Joshua's sleeve. "I really tried to reason with her, but she—"
"You get out, too." Joshua's voice was ice.
Rainey bit her lip and hurried out.
Joshua walked toward the bed. The camera was still on, the screen looping footage of Sophia being gang-raped. The images matched those adultery photos perfectly.
He stared at the screen, jaw tightening, veins bulging on the back of his hand.
Sophia's consciousness slowly returned. Through blurry eyes, she saw the familiar figure.
"Joshua..." She reached for him with the last of her strength, like a drowning woman grasping a lifeline. "Take me to the hospital..."
Joshua looked down at her. No warmth in his eyes. His thin lips parted slightly.
"The way you look now," he said, "I wish you would just die."

MOONLIT CHASE
But no, I had to walk through the park at midnight like an idiot. Now I've seen something I can't unsee—a massive black wolf tearing apart three men, then shifting into the hottest guy I've ever laid eyes on.
Kieran Vaughn. Wealthy lawyer, werewolf, and apparently, he thinks I'm his mate.
Here's the problem: I don't do relationships. I definitely don't do supernatural things. I absolutely don't do rich guys who think they can control my life just because their inner wolf has decided I smell like home.
When hunters start targeting me to get to him, Kieran drags me into his pristine penthouse for "protection." Now I'm living with a man who looks at me like I'm his last meal, whose touch sets my skin on fire, and who's barely holding onto his control.
He says everyone he loves dies. I say that's not my problem except it is because I'm falling for this broken, dangerous man and his beast.
And in his world? Love will get you killed.
Love's Deadly Equation
I was sent to her.
To watch her. To protect her. And, when the order comes… to kill her.
My name is Keegan Caffery. I’m the Carter Mafia’s best hitman. I don’t miss. I don’t fail.
At least, I didn’t use to.
I don’t know what it is about her that got to me first—her mouth, her mind, or the way she looks at me like I’m not what she should fear.
I’ve had a gun to her head since I walked into her life.
She knows it.
And she still doesn’t run.
She just watches me back like she’s studying a problem she refuses to call impossible.
She’s the one variable I can’t control.
And God help me… I don’t want to.
I have an order. I have loyalty. I have a trigger.
But every time I imagine it—
I can’t stand it.
Her or me. That’s the math.
It’s a deadly equation I don’t want to solve.
⬥ Maisie ⬥
I’m not ordinary. I stopped pretending long ago.
My name is Maisie Seo. IQ 145. Clinical genius.
Which sounds impressive until you realize what it actually means: I don’t fit anywhere people expect me to.
I see patterns everywhere. Outcomes before they happen. People like equations I’ve already solved.
It gets lonely in a world you’ve already figured out.
So I dull myself down. Smoke the edges off. Pretend, badly, to be the kind of normal that lets people stay.
Then he walked in.
I knew what he was immediately. Dangerous. Intentional. Wrong in all the right ways.
I should be afraid of him.
I keep waiting for that to kick in.
Instead, I’m fascinated.
Because for the first time in my life… I’ve found something I can’t solve.
He is my deadly equation.
