Introduction

In the fictional world of Lycanwood, four packs struggle for power, each with unique strengths and fierce ambitions.
The Silverfang pack values justice, the Shadowclaw pack is known for its cunning nature, the Ravensong pack for wisdom, and the Bloodmoon pack for passion.

Becky, a Silverfang member, dreams of being accepted as a full-fledged werewolf. But when her destined mate Alpha Karl rejects her, she feels shattered.
Her rejection leads her away from the pack, and she's soon rumored to be the most powerful wolf in her generation.
This sparks ambition in Nathan Shadowclaw and Jessy Bloodmoon, who seek to exploit her power for their gain. Meanwhile, Jake Ravensong offers Becky a haven of understanding and threatens to inflame an unshared love.
Caught in a dangerous love triangle, Becky must face her demons and defy manipulative forces. Her journey is fraught with pain and the line between friend and foe blurs.

Will she discover her strength, rise against Nathan and Jessy, or succumb to love and immolate her ambition?
Enter the world of Lycanwood, where every howl echoes with peril and every moonlit night holds a secret...

Chapter 1

Becky's pov

As I stood before the full moon, my heart raced like a wild animal. My eyes were fixed on the luminescent glow, and I could feel its power coursing through me. Tonight was the night I would finally find my wolf, the night I would become a true member of the Silverfang pack.

My mate, Karl, stood beside me, his eyes shining with excitement. The pack’s alpha, Karl’s father, looked on with a mixture of anticipation and skepticism.

The pack gathered around us, their faces filled with a mix of emotions. Some were excited for me, while others looked on with doubt and intrigue. The air was electric and filled with tension as the alpha began the ancient ritual.

“Becky, daughter of Malik Johnson, you have reached the age of twenty. Tonight, you will find your wolf and take your place among us.”

My heart swelled with pride as the alpha handed me a small vial of sacred oil. I poured it over my head, feeling the cool liquid trickle down my skin.

As the pack closed in, their voices chanting in unison. The moon reached its highest peak, casting an ethereal glow over the clearing.

As the pack closed in, their voices chanting in unison. The moon reached its highest peak, casting an ethereal glow over the clearing.

I felt the familiar sensation build inside me, the tingling in my fingers and toes, the quickening of my pulse. I closed my eyes, embracing the moment. But as the transformation approached, my body remained still without any sign of the transformation. The pack's chanting grew louder, their voices urging me to embrace my wolf. Karl's eyes locked onto mine, his expression a mix of confusion and concern.

My heart sank as I realized I wasn't changing. This was the most anticipated moment of my life, and yet nothing seemed to be how I dreamed of. The ritual ended, and the pack's faces fell. Karl's father approached me, his eyes filled with disappointment.

"I don't know what's happening. Maybe the ritual wasn't done correctly."

I mumbled to myself with a voice filled with panic.

"Becky, you have not found your wolf. You are not a true member of the pack."

The rejection stung like a slap. I felt like I'd been punched in the gut, my breath knocked out of me. Karl's eyes filled with pity, and he reached out to me.

"Becky, I—"

"No, Karl," I interrupted, my voice barely above a whisper. "You don't have to say anything."

The pack began to murmur, their voices filled with doubt and suspicion. My eyes met Karl's, and I saw the hesitation there. He didn't want to reject me, but he didn't know how to accept me either.

The alpha's voice cut through the noise. "Becky, you are not a true member of the pack. You will have to leave."

Tears pricked at the corners of my eyes as I turned away from the pack, away from Karl. I knew this day would come, but I had hoped... I had hoped I would be different.

As I walked away from the pack, I felt a part of me die. I knew I would never be accepted, never be loved for who I was. The rejection burned like a fire in my chest, a constant reminder of how useless I was.

The wastelands stretched out before me, a lonely expanse of nothingness. I took a deep breath and began to walk, my heart heavy with sadness. I didn't know where I was going, but I knew I had to keep moving.

For in the world of Lycanwood, rejection was a death sentence. And I was determined to survive.

As I walked, the silence was deafening. The only sound was the soft crunch of stone beneath my feet. My mind raced with thoughts of the pack, of Karl, of my own inadequacy. I felt like a failure, like I didn't belong anywhere.

The moon cast long shadows across the ground, making me feel like I was walking through a dream. A dream that was quickly turning into a nightmare.

After what felt like walking, I saw a figure in the distance. My heart skipped a beat as I realized it was a stranger, someone who didn't belong in the pack. My instincts told me to be cautious, but my desperation for human connection overrode my fear.

As the stranger approached, I saw that it was a young man, tall and lean, with piercing blue eyes. He had a strong jawline and a mop of messy brown hair. I felt a flutter in my chest as he smiled at me.

"Hey, are you okay?" he asked, his voice low and smooth.

I hesitated, unsure of what to say. But there was something about this stranger that put me at ease.

"I was rejected by my pack," I said, my voice barely above a whisper.

The stranger's eyes filled with understanding. "I'm sorry," he said. "That must be tough for you."

I nodded, feeling a lump form in my throat. "It is. I don't know what to do now."

The stranger smiled again. "Well, you can start by introducing yourself. My name is Jake, by the way."

I nodded, feeling a sense of gratitude towards Jake. "I'm Becky," I said, my voice still shaking.

Jake's eyes crinkled at the corners as he smiled. "Nice to meet you, Becky. Come on, I'll take you somewhere safe."

“Are you sure?”

“Yeah I am. We have a lot of people like you in my pack” he shrugged and turned, motioning for me to follow.

I followed Jake, my eyes fixed on his back as he led me through the wastelands.

As we walked, I couldn't help but notice the way Jake's hair curled slightly at the nape of his neck, the way his eyes seemed to see right through me. I felt a flutter in my chest, a sense of excitement that I hadn't felt in a long time.

After what felt like hours of walking, Jake stopped in front of a large stone building. "We're here," he said, his eyes gleaming with pride.

My eyes widened as I took in the sight of the building. It was unlike anything I had ever seen before - the stone was a deep, rich brown, and the windows seemed to glow with a warm, golden light.

"What is this place?" I asked, my voice full of wonder.

"It's the Ravensong pack's den," Jake said, his eyes sparkling with pride. "My pack. You'll be safe here."

My heart swelled with gratitude as I looked at Jake. I knew that I could trust him, that he would keep me safe.

As they entered the den, I was greeted by a sea of unfamiliar faces. But Jake's presence by my side made me feel at ease, and I smiled shyly at the strangers.

Jake led me to a small room, furnished with a bed and a small table. "You can stay here for as long as you need," he said, his eyes soft with kindness.

I nodded, feeling a sense of relief wash over me. I knew that I wouldn't have survived if Jake didn't meet me.

As I lay down on the bed, I felt a sense of peace wash over me. I knew that I still had a long way to go, that I still had to find my wolf and prove myself to the pack.

And as I drifted off to sleep, I knew that I had a lot of work cut out for me.

“I’m sorry, sweetheart. Was that too much?” I could see the worry in his eyes as I took a deep breath.

“I just didn’t want you to see all my scars,” I whispered, feeling ashamed of my marked body.

On my birthday, he took her on vacation. On our anniversary, he brought her to our home and made love to her in our bed...

Heartbroken, I tricked him into signing divorce papers.

George remained unconcerned, convinced I would never leave him.

His deceptions continued until the day the divorce was finalized. I threw the papers in his face: "George Capulet, from this moment on, get out of my life!"

Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.

When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.

"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"

George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"

"I'm afraid that's impossible."

Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."

"White wolf! Kill that monster!"
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.

I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis

Being second best is practically in my DNA. My sister got the love, the attention, the spotlight. And now, even her damn fiancé.
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.

Daniel. The brother I was warned about. The one who made Nicholas look like a choir boy.
He leaned against the wall, watching my world implode.
My pulse thundered. "What?"
"You heard me." His eyes burned into mine. "Marry me, Emma."
But as I stared into those magnetic eyes, I realized something terrifying:
I wanted to say yes to him.
