I Played the Alpha Boys—and Made Them Mine
Lyra Cinder · Ongoing · 49.9k Words
Introduction
Ella was supposed to be the pathetic human girl the Alpha boys could toy with. A scholarship student among wealthy, pureblood werewolves, she had neither their power nor their status. But when she discovers Roman’s cruel bet to make her fall for him, she decides to turn his game against him.
With a carefully crafted innocent smile, a few perfectly timed tears, and a mind sharper than any wolf’s claws, Ella begins playing the players. The gifts meant to humiliate her become money for her mother’s medical bills—and the arrogant Alpha who wanted to break her starts craving her attention.
But Roman isn’t the only dangerous man watching her. Stellan, the cold and unreadable quarterback, seems to see through every lie she tells.
Ella thought she was controlling the game. So why are the Alpha boys suddenly fighting over her—and what happens when one of them discovers her real strategy?
Chapter 1
Ella
I pushed open the heavy double oak doors.
The bass from the party's speakers was shaking the floor.
The moment I stepped across the threshold, something whistled through the air above my head.
Splash—
An entire basin of cold, viscous filth came down from the sky and poured itself with perfect aim onto the top of my head.
The music stopped dead.
The icy water ran down through my hair, struck my shoulders, and slid inside my collar.
A stench so foul it turned my stomach spread through the air in an instant — rotten eggs mixed with the silt of a sewer.
I was a drowned rat, through and through.
The hall went deathly quiet. A few seconds later, a wave of laughter erupted, loud enough to be deafening.
I wiped the filth off my face, and the sting was so sharp I could barely keep my eyes open.
I lifted my head and looked at the spiral staircase on the second floor.
Valerie's friend Jessica was leaning against the brass railing.
A red plastic bucket hung from her hand, still dripping. She looked down at me from above, a vicious smirk on her face.
"Oh dear, sorry." Jessica covered her mouth with exaggerated shock. "I thought this was the trash can. But looking at how you are now, I suppose I didn't dump it in the wrong place after all."
The people around her laughed even harder.
They lifted their red plastic cups and pointed at me, jeering.
I stayed where I was, filth dripping from my skirt onto the carpet.
My jaw was clenched so hard I tasted rust and blood in my mouth.
This was my everyday life.
A month ago, the school's most popular quarterback — Tyler, a pureblood werewolf — had confessed his feelings to me in the hallway, in front of everyone.
From that day on, my life turned into hell.
Tyler was the man Valerie had set her sights on.
Valerie was the proudest of the aristocratic werewolves at school, the heir to the Alpha family.
Offend her, and you were as good as handed a death sentence at this school.
She led the campaign of bullying against me.
She had my textbooks thrown into the pool, dead rats shoved into my locker, my clothes cut to shreds in the changing room.
I fought back. I took recordings to the principal's office to report them. Once I even slammed a cafeteria tray into Valerie's face.
It was pointless.
Every time I fought back, the humiliation I got in return multiplied.
The principal turned a blind eye to the recordings, and that night a few werewolves cornered me in an alley with no cameras. They didn't even have to raise a hand — just releasing their werewolf dominance was enough to make my knees give way and leave me gasping for air. I was a fragile human, nothing more.
I was only a scholarship student.
A human who could stand in this elite academy only because of a scholarship.
They were werewolves.
They had strength, speed and healing ability that ordinary people could never hope to match.
In this food chain where the strong devour the weak, they were the apex predators, and I was an ant that could be crushed at any moment.
There was no way I could fight back against these aristocrats.
Tonight's party — Valerie had used the student council's name to force me to attend.
I knew it was a trap dressed up as an invitation.
The filth from above was only the appetizer.
"Look at her, the poor thing." Someone in the crowd whistled.
"Get out of here, human scholarship student. This isn't a place you belong."
I took a deep breath, and my lungs filled with the stench of sewage.
I didn't cry.
Tears were the cheapest thing in this place.
I straightened my spine, endured the humiliation, and took a step forward.
My shoes were full of water, and each step made a ridiculous squelching sound.
The crowd parted for me on its own, as though making way for a plague.
I walked to the restroom on the other side of the doors without looking left or right.
Just as I passed the edge of the crowd, I caught a movement out of the corner of my eye.
One of Valerie's hangers-on — a girl in a tight silver sequined dress — deliberately slid a high-heeled foot out into the middle of the walkway.
I saw it perfectly clearly.
I could step over it. I could stop.
But I knew them far too well.
If I dodged that foot, there would be a second one, or a hard shove from behind.
Rather than give them something to seize on, I might as well play along.
I didn't change my pace. I walked straight at it.
My toe caught on her heel.
My balance was gone in an instant, and I pitched forward with no control over my body.
The marble floor swelled toward me in my vision.
I closed my eyes and braced for the pain and the next round of mockery.
But the pain never came.
I crashed into a hard chest.
A wall of solid muscle.
I could even feel the explosive power coiled beneath the fabric of his suit.
A faint scent of cedar mixed with expensive cologne wrapped around me instantly, driving the stench away.
A pair of strong arms caught me steadily around the waist.
The laughter around me stopped as though someone had pressed pause.
The air was filled with a suffocating pressure — the aura of a top predator.
I froze.
Slowly, I opened my eyes and raised my head.
What I saw was an extremely handsome face.
A jawline like cut stone, deep features, and a pair of amber eyes.
He didn't push me away, and he didn't frown at the stench on me.
He looked down, his eyes fixed tightly on me.
I expected to find disgust or contempt there, but I didn't.
His eyes were full of pity, and something else — a fierce, intense tenderness I couldn't understand.
As though he were looking at a priceless treasure lost and then found again. As though he were looking at a small animal badly wounded.
"You—" I opened my mouth, but no sound came out.
He said nothing. He only tightened the arm around my waist.
Then he raised his head, and his gaze passed over mine to sweep the entire hall.
The temperature in the hall seemed to plummet to freezing in an instant.
I could hear the werewolves around me — the ones who were always so arrogant — holding their breath.
His gaze finally locked onto Jessica on the second floor, and onto the girl who had put her foot out in the crowd.
"Who gave you the nerve?"

Letters to a Dark Prince
Thrown into Isteros Academy—a world of old money, blood money, and cruel social games—she's an outsider by birth and an afterthought by design. Her sister Solyn is the school's untouchable queen and Mara is her favorite target.
Everyone expects Atreus to treat his fiancée’s scholarship sister like everyone else does—as if she doesn’t matter.
Instead, his dorm room sits directly across from hers, close enough that she can see his light go out at night. Some nights, he climbs the old maintenance trellis just to check on her. He teaches her chess. He shows up exactly when something's gone wrong—and never once asks to be thanked for it.
"Don't fall in love with one piece," he warns her, over a board neither of them treats like a game anymore. "It punishes the person who only sees half of it."
Mara doesn't understand why the boy who's supposed to make her life harder keeps quietly making it easier—not until she realizes the anonymous stranger she's been writing to every week already has a name.
His.
He doesn't know he's writing to her, either.
By the time they find out, it's too late to stop what's already happening. Far too dangerous for anyone to find out.
In an empty studio, in the middle of a rainstorm, she asks him: 'Am I the kind of girl who kisses a boy engaged to my sister?'
He doesn't answer.
So she asks: 'What are we?’
He told her not to fall in love with one piece.
She fell anyway.
And he was never far behind.

My mate began watching me.
Protecting me.
Holding me whenever I fell.
Looking at me like he was terrified of losing me.
If he hated me...
Why did he keep risking everything for me?
And why did everyone panic the moment I finally chose another future?
Bride To The Werewolf King
MOONLIT CHASE
But no, I had to walk through the park at midnight like an idiot. Now I've seen something I can't unsee—a massive black wolf tearing apart three men, then shifting into the hottest guy I've ever laid eyes on.
Kieran Vaughn. Wealthy lawyer, werewolf, and apparently, he thinks I'm his mate.
Here's the problem: I don't do relationships. I definitely don't do supernatural things. I absolutely don't do rich guys who think they can control my life just because their inner wolf has decided I smell like home.
When hunters start targeting me to get to him, Kieran drags me into his pristine penthouse for "protection." Now I'm living with a man who looks at me like I'm his last meal, whose touch sets my skin on fire, and who's barely holding onto his control.
He says everyone he loves dies. I say that's not my problem except it is because I'm falling for this broken, dangerous man and his beast.
And in his world? Love will get you killed.

Love's Deadly Equation
I was sent to her.
To watch her. To protect her. And, when the order comes… to kill her.
My name is Keegan Caffery. I’m the Carter Mafia’s best hitman. I don’t miss. I don’t fail.
At least, I didn’t use to.
I don’t know what it is about her that got to me first—her mouth, her mind, or the way she looks at me like I’m not what she should fear.
I’ve had a gun to her head since I walked into her life.
She knows it.
And she still doesn’t run.
She just watches me back like she’s studying a problem she refuses to call impossible.
She’s the one variable I can’t control.
And God help me… I don’t want to.
I have an order. I have loyalty. I have a trigger.
But every time I imagine it—
I can’t stand it.
Her or me. That’s the math.
It’s a deadly equation I don’t want to solve.
⬥ Maisie ⬥
I’m not ordinary. I stopped pretending long ago.
My name is Maisie Seo. IQ 145. Clinical genius.
Which sounds impressive until you realize what it actually means: I don’t fit anywhere people expect me to.
I see patterns everywhere. Outcomes before they happen. People like equations I’ve already solved.
It gets lonely in a world you’ve already figured out.
So I dull myself down. Smoke the edges off. Pretend, badly, to be the kind of normal that lets people stay.
Then he walked in.
I knew what he was immediately. Dangerous. Intentional. Wrong in all the right ways.
I should be afraid of him.
I keep waiting for that to kick in.
Instead, I’m fascinated.
Because for the first time in my life… I’ve found something I can’t solve.
He is my deadly equation.
Inked Adonis - Mafia Romance
Of me saying I want to climb him like a tree.
And he just. Texted. Back.
It's the dog's fault, really.
If this untrained Great Dane I'm walking had any manners at all, I never would've ended up here:
With my leash wrapped around the most gorgeous man I've ever seen.
Lucky for me, the guy is a good sport about it.
(Although his joke that “Dogs take after their owners” hits a little too close to home when Rufus starts humping his leg.)
He leaves me with his business card and a smile that makes my knees weak.
I'm still pinching myself as me and the bestie resume our walk.
“Methinks you had a little crush on him,” she accuses.
Not thinking and a little flustered by the whole experience, I reply, “I’d wrap my legs around his waist tighter than that leash.”
THAT'S when she reveals that she'd been recording my response.
THAT'S when she gives me the most devilish grin I've ever seen and says, “You're welcome.”
And THAT'S when she hands me my phone and reveals...
She sent the recording to him.
My heart is in my throat as those three little dots appear…
Then a text.
“PROVE IT.”
CHASING GHOSTS
The Family Books 1-3 (A Mafia romance)
The saint to my sinner. with her innocent eyes and devilish curves.
A Madonna that was meant to be admired but never touched.
Until someone took that innocence from her.
She left.
The darkness in my heart was finally complete.
I avenged her, I killed for her, but she never came back.
Until I saw her again. An angel dancing around a pole for money.
She didn’t know I owned that club. She didn’t know I was watching.
This time I won’t let her escape.
I will make her back into the girl I knew.
Whether she likes it or not.
2/ Judge and Jury- I can’t stop watching her.
I’m not even sure I want to.
Taylor Lawson, blonde, beautiful, and totally oblivious to how much dangers she’s in.
She’s also the one juror in my upcoming murder trial that hasn’t been bought.
The one who can put me behind bars for a very long time.
I know I should execute her.
After all that’s what I do.
I am the Judge.
I eliminate threats to The Family.
And Taylor is a threat.
But I don’t want to kill her.
Possessing her, making her love me seems like a much better plan for this particular Juror.
