It was the amusement park worker I'd seen before. We both read disbelief in each other's eyes.

He reacted incredibly fast, pushing me aside, grabbing the burlap sack, and bolting into the ruins of the demolished area.

Without time to think, I chased after him into the ruins but was stopped.
