Chapter 2

Leo's expression softened slightly. "Since you're willing to repent, a private apology will do. There's no need to make it public."

But Bianca showed uncharacteristic unease.

Because she knew perfectly well that I'd never touched her.

As I left the medical wing, Leo caught up with me and pressed a package of medicine into my hand.

"Treat your wounds."

I took it. "How much? I'll transfer the money to you."

Leo looked somewhat embarrassed. "Don't you always take care of me like this? Between mates, don't be so distant."

But my next words sent him plummeting into an icy abyss.

"It's better to settle accounts clearly. We're not that close."

Leo's face turned deathly pale, staring at me in disbelief.

"What do you mean by that?"

I simply smiled without explaining and turned to leave.

You'll understand soon enough.

The next day, Silver Moon Academy notified me that my application had been approved and asked me to come complete the enrollment procedures.

As I left the office, I ran into Kai in his crisp instructor's uniform.

In my past life, to seek justice for Bianca, he'd reported the incident to the Council of Elders, demanding the harshest punishment for me.

He'd even made a point of informing my parents of my "wrongdoing." When my mother learned I was being detained at the academy, she fainted on the spot.

I was desperate to update my mother on my situation, but Kai confiscated my phone, claiming he wouldn't return it until I apologized to Bianca.

As a result, my mother fell into depression and, before I was even released from the training room, her condition worsened and she passed away.

The current Kai was still impeccably neat, his silver-gray hair combed back precisely.

When he saw me, the smile vanished from his face, and he frowned as he questioned me.

"What are you doing here?"

"Just passing through."

I deflected casually, revealing nothing of my plans.

He looked skeptical, but the disgust in his eyes was undisguised. "Let's hope so."

I remained silent, but my heart ached faintly.

Kai, who had once been so gentle with me, now so blatantly favored Bianca.

"Bianca is a student I'm personally nurturing—she possesses the rare gift of healing. I don't care how mischievous you are as long as you haven't hurt her. But if you dare touch her, don't blame me for being harsh."

I took a deep breath. "Instructor Kai, I know I was wrong."

"I'll sincerely apologize to Student Bianca and admit my fault in front of everyone."

Kai looked suspicious instead and let out a cold snort.

"Don't try any tricks. If you dare cause trouble, I'll transfer you to the worst class, revoke all your award qualifications, strip you of every opportunity to access resources, and make sure you never graduate."

I forced out my most sincere smile, trying to dispel his doubts.

There would be no tricks.

But I would definitely make them regret this.

Kai turned away in disgust, and I quietly watched his retreating figure.

Two days later, the triplets sent me a message with the time and location already arranged.

"Come to the academy's great hall. Kneel before Bianca and apologize in front of all the faculty and students. Otherwise, you'll lose your qualification to become our Luna."

After reading that message, I didn't head to the hall. Instead, I grabbed my already-packed luggage and went to the airport, preparing to fly to Silver Moon Academy.

Inside the hall, someone had already started live-streaming the event on the internal network.

On my way to the airport, I opened my phone to see my fated mates, the triplets, supporting Bianca as she sat in the front row.

Jack carefully draped his jacket over Bianca's shoulders, worried she might catch cold.

Leo sang softly beside her, soothing Bianca's anxious expression.

"Relax. Elara is the one in the wrong. You're just an innocent victim caught up in this. It's only right that she come and apologize."

Kai snorted coldly. "If she dares pull any stunts today, I guarantee she won't be able to stay at this academy."

But Bianca put on a pitiful expression, glanced around, and sighed softly.

"Why hasn't Elara arrived yet? Don't tell me she thinks apologizing to me is beneath her and plans to stand us up."

Suddenly, the hall plunged into darkness, and everyone froze in shock.

Then the central screen lit up and began playing a video.

The entire hall erupted immediately, with whispered discussions breaking out everywhere.

Kai, the eldest of the triplets and most alert, was the first to frown, then his expression changed drastically. "This isn't—"

He immediately tried to contact me, only to discover I'd already blocked him.

Jack and Leo also panicked, releasing Bianca and searching everywhere for my whereabouts.

"Where's Elara? Has anyone seen her?"

A classmate answered, "She went to Silver Moon Academy. She moved out of her dorm ages ago. You didn't know?"
