Remarrying the Billionaire: The Ex-Husband's Regret
Willow Ashford · Completed · 222.4k Words
Introduction
As the rhythm of our bodies quickened, I groaned and grasped the hair of the man above me. Ryan’s hand gripped and tormented my breasts, his thumb teasing my nipple, while his other hand pressed urgently against my clitoris.
“No matter who you were in the past, you belong to me now. Only to me.”
——
Evelyn had planned to announce her pregnancy on her wedding anniversary, but what awaited her was only the betrayal and humiliation of her husband, Damian.
Evelyn chose to walk away and pick up her drawing pen once more, reclaiming her lost glory in the fashion design world step by step.
But Damian quickly regretted his actions. Unable to control himself, he called her, yet the person who answered was not Evelyn—
“Hello, I am her current husband. You are interrupting us having sex.”
——
Evelyn thought she would never love anyone again. But the mysterious and powerful man known as Mr. K, who pulled her from the abyss, provokes her senses and challenges her emotional boundaries again and again.
Chapter 1
[Ultra-Thin Hyaluronic Acid Condoms, 2 boxes (18 count), $300.]
Evelyn's phone received the payment notification as she drowsily waited for her husband Damian to return home on the sofa. Today marked their eighth wedding anniversary.
Heat rushed to her face upon seeing the message. He had been distant for several months, and she had assumed he had lost interest in her long ago. Unfortunately, tonight would inevitably disappoint him.
Evelyn placed a gentle hand over her abdomen, clutching the pregnancy test results tightly. The test confirmed it. She was pregnant.
Just then, a message from Damian arrived. [Emergency at work. Won't be coming home tonight. Your gift is in the study.]
The smile on Evelyn's face vanished instantly. If he wasn't coming home, then who was he planning to use those condoms with? Was he having an affair? The thought made her heart constrict painfully, making it difficult to breathe.
She refused to believe it. They had been together since high school, eight years of love and commitment. How could he betray her? Clinging to the slimmest hope, she stubbornly waited in the living room.
Half an hour later, her phone chimed again. It wasn't Damian, but an anonymous sender who had shared a video.
The footage showed a woman being brutally pinned to the bed by Damian. His muscular chest pressed firmly against her breasts. His hand roamed from her waist down to her buttocks, roughly kneading her tight flesh. The woman's fingers stroked his chest, and Damian's large hands squeezed her two full breasts together, as he leaned down to suck and bite.
...
Evelyn immediately recognized the woman. It was his secretary, Sienna.
“Damian, do you like me or your wife?” Sienna asked in a soft, coquettish voice in the video.
Evelyn remembered arguing fiercely with Damian about hiring a female secretary. He had appeased her by saying Sienna only slightly resembled her when she was younger. How ridiculous!
In the video, Damian rubbed his hard, thick member against the tightly closed entrance a couple of times, then plunged it in with satisfaction. “I can't get interested in Evelyn's face anymore. Seeing her just annoys me. How could she possibly compare to you?”
The sounds that followed were Sienna’s disgusting gasps and moans. Damian’s words were like a needle, fiercely stabbing her heart.
Immediately after, provocative text messages flooded in one after another. [Did you see it? Your husband stopped loving you long ago!] [You've been married for eight years, and he has been sleeping with me for six!] [I advise you to divorce quickly. Don't wait for him to kick you out like a dog!]
She took a deep breath and shakily dialed Damian's number. He had once shielded her with his body during an earthquake, leaving a hideous scar on his back. He had once loved her with his life. She wanted to give him one last chance.
“What is it, Evelyn?” His voice on the other end was as gentle as always.
“Damian, please come home and be with me, okay?”
The moment she spoke, a man's stifled groan came from the phone. Evelyn knew that sound well. It was the sound he made when aroused in bed.
Damian seemed to realize his mistake and hurriedly said, “Evelyn, I'm very busy right now. We can talk when I get back.”
The phone was ruthlessly hung up.
Evelyn's face was ashen. Her fingernails dug deeply into her palms, drawing blood, yet she felt no pain. She smiled self-mockingly. Begging a man whose heart had changed for affection. She truly was an idiot.
Evelyn opened her contacts, found a number she had blocked countless times, and sent a message. [You once said you would take me away from here. Does that offer still stand?]
The reply was instantaneous. [I will return to the country to pick you up in two weeks.]
Receiving the response, Evelyn immediately got up and walked into the study, retrieving a divorce agreement from the safe. She had drafted it when they married. At that time, Damian looked at the agreement with bloodshot eyes and said, “Evelyn, we will be tied together for life. No one can separate us.”
Eight years later, he was the one who personally broke the promise. Evelyn picked up a pen and meticulously signed her name.
She did not sleep a wink that night. The next morning, she took a taxi to the Omni Group.
When Evelyn arrived at the Group, Damian was in a meeting. The person who came out to receive her was Sienna.
“Evelyn, Damian always says I look like you. But seeing you in person, I feel relieved. I seem to be superior in appearance and age, don't I?”
Evelyn looked at the girl before her. Dressed in a white suit, the assertiveness in her eyes was indeed a shadow of her younger self. This realization made Evelyn's throat tighten.
Because Damian disliked having outsiders like nannies around, she had quit her job after marriage and willingly became a housewife, long since dulling all her edges. The haggard woman in the mirror that morning couldn't hide her exhaustion, even with thick foundation.
Seeing Evelyn didn't answer, Sienna continued to provoke. “How strange. If I need Damian for something, no matter how busy he is, he comes right away. He says I'm the most important person to him. It seems this consideration is truly reserved only for me.”
The words pierced her heart like a needle. Once upon a time, Damian had shown her that same unique favoritism.
Evelyn picked up the teacup, forcibly suppressing the churning bitterness. “Oh? If he loves you so much, why does he still let you be a mistress who hides in the shadows?”
“You need to try harder. Urge him to divorce me quickly so you can enter officially, instead of sneaking around like this.”
The triumph on Sienna’s face instantly froze. “The unloved one is the third party! He stopped loving you long ago. What is the point of you clinging on?”
Evelyn couldn't be bothered to argue further and turned to walk towards the conference room.
The enraged Sienna suddenly lunged at her. Evelyn instinctively shielded her abdomen and tried to dodge, but her foot slipped. She fell heavily to the ground, and intense pain instantly spread.
Sienna missed, her forehead striking the wall and drawing blood.
Just then, the conference room door opened. Damian walked out and saw Sienna on the floor, bleeding. His pupils narrowed. He instinctively rushed over and sheltered Sienna in his arms. “Evelyn, what did you do?”
Sienna immediately burst into pitiful tears. “Damian, don't blame Evelyn. It was my fault, I was careless...”
“Apologize,” Damian ordered, his voice hard.
Evelyn tried to stand up, the abdominal cramping and heart-chilling despair making her forehead sweat. Yet, she stubbornly looked straight at him. “How can you demand an apology when you haven't even asked what happened?”
“The evidence is right here!” Damian was filled with disappointment. “Evelyn, when did you become so unreasonable? Apologize!”
Evelyn looked at him, the last bit of her strength draining away. Her vision went black, and she collapsed backward weakly.
Only then did Damian panic. He rushed forward and caught her. “Evelyn!”

How Not To Fall For A Dragon
Which is why it was more than a little confusing when a letter arrived with my name already printed on a schedule, a dorm waiting, and classes picked out as if someone knew me better than I knew myself. Everyone knows the Academy, it’s where witches sharpen their spells, shifters master their forms, and every kind of magical creature learns to control their gifts.
Everyone except me.
I don’t even know what I am. No shifting, no magic tricks, nothing. Just a girl surrounded by people who can fly, conjure fire, or heal with a touch. So I sit through classes pretending I belong, and I listen hard for any clue that might tell me what’s hidden in my blood.
The only person more curious than me is Blake Nyvas, tall, golden-eyed, and very much a Dragon. People whisper that he’s dangerous, warn me to keep my distance. But Blake seems determined to solve the mystery of me, and somehow I trust him more than anyone else.
Maybe it’s reckless. Maybe it’s dangerous.
But when everyone else looks at me like I don’t belong, Blake looks at me like I’m a riddle worth solving.
