She is relieved to be escaping her family, having no idea who’s web she has fallen into.

She knows she must resist for the sake of her own survival, but what happens when he plays a bigger part in her life and past?
"I won't let anyone break or hurt you. I am the only one allowed to do that, Freya."
Chapter 1
Freya's pov
"...In a few days to come, she'll be gone from our lives for good."
I clutched the plate I was washing tightly as I heard Lycril, my stepmother's voice in the corridor.
My hands were weak already. Standing all day with just a minute or two interval to rest. Everyday I work tirelessly in the house, my own father's house, like a slave while his beloved wife and my step siblings have enough time to wander around.
I had no choice anyway, ever since I lost my mother to the cold hands of death, it had been one torture after the other leaving my body filled with scars and bruises almost all the time, so much for being a wolfless Omega despised by her father.
Who would feed me or give me shelter if I refused to do the work?
"I hope you had a good bargain with…." I heard my stepmother's voice fading. Even though I tried to stay glued to my spot, I soon washed my hands and dried it with my apron, tiptoeing silently behind them as they walked towards their room.
The voice of my stepmother came once again, drawing my attention to whatever they were saying.
"Richard dear! I can't wait for her to be gone. We will be so rich and also we won't have to worry about our debts again…" her malicious tone immediately told me she was talking about me but what I was confused about were her words "rich ""gone" where was I going?
I knew I shouldn't be eavesdropping but I had no choice. I needed all the details I could get.
"Such a bad habit you have there, Freya." Enzo, my stepbrother scorned.
I snapped my head around to behold Enzo's eyes gazing lustfully at me.
"It's not what you think Enzo. I-i was just walking by…" I said, trying to run away from his flirtatious gaze before he pounced on his prey–Me.
My step brother's eyes hovered around my body like he wanted to peel my clothes off with them.
"It doesn't look like you were just walking by…" He grabbed my wrist, spinning me to face him. "Look how beautiful you look, Freya." He tried bringing his lips to mine but I shrugged him off, my heart racing with disgust.
"Please Enzo, just stop already…" I pleaded, struggling to free myself from his tight grip.
Ever since my mother died, I had wanted my father to get married so he wouldn't be lonely. Little did I know my wish would come back to haunt me in the most painful way.
Lycril, my stepmother, had come from her previous marriage with her two children, Enzo and Amanda who hated me with every part of their being.
I felt someone grab my ass and that was when I saw Enzo smirking with a disgusting look on his face.
Raising my hand, I made sure to slap him hard across his cheeks, enough to alert the attention of my father and his wife.
"What the hell is happening here?" Lycril asked immediately as she stepped out. "And you," she pointed at me, "Aren't you supposed to be in the kitchen doing the dishes?"
"I-i uhmm I was just trying to…." And in a split second, I felt like the room was spinning. She had slapped me hard which sent me sprawling on the floor, holding my cheeks.
"She was eavesdropping on you and father." Enzo spat, his eyes blazing. I knew he had snitched on me because I slapped him and I certainly knew what would follow this. A severe beating and a night without food!
"You bastard child…." Lycril charged angrily towards me, bawling her fist.
I was done for. I wanted to run away to anywhere safe but on the contrary there was nowhere safe for me to go to.
With a triumphant look on his face, Enzo walked towards me, pinning me down as I waited for the beating from my stepmother's long horsewhip.
"Mother no… please I wasn't eavesdropping, please…. Enzo let me go.." I struggled, wishing the ground could just open and allow me to be buried deep inside. I could be anywhere else but not in this house.
I heard the heavy boots of my father as he walked out of the room. I was certain he had been looking for anything to use as a punishment tool for me.
"You've been such a bad girl, Freya. Eavesdropping on two adults? I bet you learnt that from your mother."
I was willing to take all the painful words from him but I hated it whenever he dragged my mother into it.
As I watched him approach me, swirling the thick, long stick in his hands, I could perceive the familiar smell of alcohol and I knew he had been drinking again. My father was a beast anytime he got drunk.
I lowered my head, unable to meet his gaze. "Father please…"
"Lie her flat on the floor. I'll teach her a lesson she won't ever forget in her life."
"No mother please beg father… no… Enzo, stay away from me…. Stop please, it hurts…." My body shook intensely with extreme pain as he landed the stick on my bare back. I could feel my skin peeling and bleeding already by the time he was done.
With my tear filled eyes, I looked at Enzo who seemed to be enjoying the scene playing, and then my gaze darted to Amanda who stood just at a corner, gloating.
I was slowly losing consciousness from the intense pain I was feeling. It was as though I was going into a trance as everything became blurry.
"Let her go already, Richard. We don't want to present a pale looking lady to him…" Lycril said with condescension.
Him? Who was he? My mind raced with different thoughts of what they were probably planning but none made any sense to me.
As I slowly stood up, I looked at Lycril . The woman who I had wished she could treat me like her own daughter, laughing sarcastically at me.
"Look how pathetic you look, Freya. Next time, don't ever eavesdrop on adults." She spat, her voice laced with venom.
I leaned against the wall, panting heavily from the beating I had just gotten from my so-called family.
"You need to go dress that wound on your back like you always do. We can't afford to have Xavier come pick you up like this." She sounded happy as she spoke and I wondered what it was that they had planned. Who was Xavier? And why is he coming to get me?
Seeing the confused look on my face, my father leaned forward holding my chin up so I could face him. He tightened his grip on my jaw, digging his fingers inside my skin till It bled.
"You'll be such a good girl when you finally arrive at the NorthRidge pack…."
"NorthRidge pack?" I muttered the courage to ask my father. "What will I be doing there father?"
"You will be meeting your new master, Freya."

The Family Sacrifice
I simply said one word: "Okay."
My parents and Gilbert were stunned. They rushed to have me sign the voluntary donation form, afraid I’d change my mind.
Some days later, they sent me to the operating room.
Dad said, "Yvonne will finally be saved. We're so proud of you."
Mom said, "After the surgery, we'll make it up to you."
Gilbert looked tenderly at Yvonne and said, "When you're better, where should we travel?"
What they didn't know was that the day I agreed, I'd just received my diagnosis, stage four cancer. Three months to live.
As I lay on the cold operating table, as the anesthesia began to take effect, I only wanted to know one thing:
If I die on this operating table, will they regret it?
He Never Loved Me, Until I Left
I put away the divorce agreement with a wry smile.
When he and my son completely disappeared, he finally panicked.
Three months later .
He knelt down on the streets of Chicago in despair, begging me to remarry him.
My six-year-old son looked coldly at his biological father and said, "Get lost, you bad uncle! You don't deserve to be my dad!"
He Thought I'd Never Leave
When he said he was being bullied, I believed him. When he kissed me on that rooftop, I thought he felt the same. When he asked me to transfer schools with him, I said yes without hesitation.
Then I heard him bragging to his friends: "She'd save her first time for me. Hell, she'd still be thinking of me on her wedding night."
The bullying was staged. The kiss meant nothing. He just wanted me gone—so his new girl could feel more comfortable.
He thought I'd beg. He thought I'd cry. He thought I'd never actually leave.
I left the country.
And ran straight into his stepbrother.
I Died While They Threw Her a Party
Their real daughter came home. She'd only been back two years. That's all it took to erase twenty-four.
When kidnappers grabbed us, I used my body as a shield. They beat me until something inside me ruptured. I was dying from internal bleeding, but no one could tell.
My parents wouldn't even look at me. "This is your fault! None of this would've happened if it weren't for you!"
"Get downstairs and apologize to your sister. If you can't, pack your things and get out."
They threw her a party at a downtown hotel while I died alone in my room.
I thought they'd be relieved. Maybe even glad. I thought they'd just move on like I never existed.
But when they finally learned the truth, they fell apart.
Bury Me in His Regret
The kidnapper pressed the gun to my temple and asked, "Choose your wife or your sister-in-law?"
Zachary didn't hesitate. "Let Valerie go," he said.
He actually chose to save his sister-in-law! In that moment, even the baby in my belly seemed to stop kicking.
Later, they locked me in the basement. Drugs to delay labor were pumped into my veins over and over. Zachary wanted to save the "firstborn son" status for his sister-in-law's child.
When warm blood finally soaked through my skirt, I dialed the number I knew by heart with shaking hands.
"Zachary," I whispered into the phone, "our child... can't wait any longer."
The Kidney That Killed Me
A few months ago, my sister was hospitalized with kidney failure. The doctor said she needed a transplant. My family's first thought was me—the backup daughter they'd kept around all these years.
When my husband Allen took my hand with tears in his eyes and said, "Only you can save her," I agreed without hesitation.
When the doctor explained the surgical risks and potential complications, I smiled and nodded my understanding.
My parents said I'd finally learned what sisterly love meant.
Even Allen, who'd always been cold to me, held my hand gently and said, "The surgery's safe. You're so healthy, nothing will go wrong. When you recover, I'll take you to Hawaii."
But they don't know that no matter how the surgery goes, I won't be around to celebrate.
Because I just got my own test results—I have terminal brain cancer. I'm going to die anyway.
After the Affair: Falling into a Billionaire's Arms
From first crush to wedding vows, George Capulet and I had been inseparable. But in our seventh year of marriage, he began an affair with his secretary.
On my birthday, he took her on vacation. On our anniversary, he brought her to our home and made love to her in our bed...
Heartbroken, I tricked him into signing divorce papers.
George remained unconcerned, convinced I would never leave him.
His deceptions continued until the day the divorce was finalized. I threw the papers in his face: "George Capulet, from this moment on, get out of my life!"
Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."

What? No—wait… oh Moon Goddess, no.
Please tell me you're joking, Lex.
But she's not. I can feel her excitement bubbling under my skin, while all I feel is dread.
We turn the corner, and the scent hits me like a punch to the chest—cinnamon and something impossibly warm. My eyes scan the room until they land on him. Tall. Commanding. Beautiful.
And then, just as quickly… he sees me.
His expression twists.
"Fuck no."
He turns—and runs.
My mate sees me and runs.

Shattered Girl
“I’m sorry, sweetheart. Was that too much?” I could see the worry in his eyes as I took a deep breath.
“I just didn’t want you to see all my scars,” I whispered, feeling ashamed of my marked body.

Oops, Wrong Girl to Bully
My back hit the desk. Pain exploded through my skull.
"Girls like you don't get to dream about guys like Kai." Bella's breath was hot on my face. "You don't get to write pathetic love letters."
She shoved me again. Harder.
"Maybe if you weren't such a desperate little—"
I fell. My head cracked against the corner.
Warmth trickled down my neck. Blood.
Their laughter turned to gasps.
The door slammed.
I tried to stand. Couldn't. The room was spinning, fading to black.
Someone... please...
