The Billionaire's Trap
Angela Shyna · Ongoing · 85.9k Words
Introduction
A pleasure moan escaped her throat.
"Yes sir, I__I want this." She panted breathlessly.
He hesitated for the briefest moment.
"What is my name, Faith?"
She didn't delay in answering. "S_sterling Hunter"
These were the very words that sealed her fate.
A story in which a Billionaire became obsessed with his secretary, there were no rules in the game of lust and desire, he would stop at nothing to make her his.
Lies and manipulation was all Faith Jameson ever got from the men she dated. She thought she could trust her boss, little did she know that she had been a tool in his hands all along, she was no more than a pawn in his deceptive games.
Would it be too late escape from the webs he had built? Or would she play the game of chess he started?
Chapter 1
"Please ma'am, you can't go inside! Mr. Hunter doesn't wish to be disturbed! You have to wait if you want to see him!" Faith Jameson hurriedly blocked the scantily clad woman's path.
The woman raised a perfectly arched brow, her expression was one of impatience as her brightly painted lips tightened in annoyance.
"Who do you think you are to stop me!" She spat.
Faith sighed.
How many times since these four years she had heard this exact same line?
She stared at the furious woman in front of her.
Carla Luis was a popular designer, her father owned several companies, the newspapers, TV, and magazines had carried it all through the last week that Carla Luis and Sterling Hunter were dating but this was her first appearance in the office.
"I apologize, Mr. Hunter is currently in an important meeting, I can get you water if you insist on waiting?" Faith offered and she could almost see the fumes escaping Carla's nostrils.
"You should know that I'm Sterling's girlfriend, he's going to propose to me soon, do you still think that I don't have the right to see him? I can even fire you right now if I want to!"
What was it with these women her Boss dated? Faith thought. She always tried to be polite with them, why couldn't they be at least understanding? Did they all have to be arrogant and rude?
Working as Mr. Sterling Hunter's personal assistant was indeed a tiring job most of the time.
Faith got this job four years ago and if she were to count the number of women that have spoken about firing her, they would count up to her ten fingers, or even more.
Who didn't know of Sterling Hunter's reputation?
He had the good looks and the money, it was common for women to throw themselves at him.
"Suit yourself then." Faith muttered under her breath, unwilling to continue to put up with Carla's attitude, she started to return to her desk but didn't expect to be suddenly yanked backward.
"Did you just talk back to me! Where are your manners? I could complain to Sterling about you." Carla's nails were digging onto Faith's shoulders.
For how long was she going to continue to deal with these kinds of women?
"You do know that Mr. Hunter got two of his past girlfriends arrested for laying their hands on me, I heard they are still serving jail time, I will advise you to keep your hands to yourself, ma'am." Faith shrugged away from Carla's grip, meeting the woman's shocked stare with a mocking smile.
"Are you trying to say something here? Is that it?"
Faith ignored Carla's words, Carla had not been able to disguise the jealousy in her voice.
Faith was not bothered about her threats to get her fired. She knew she was doing a good job for her boss and he would never fire her without a reason. Even though others see her boss as cold, arrogant, and manipulative, he always treated her well and was kind enough.
This was the reason why she had never considered resigning despite some of the difficult situations. Her salary was quite attractive, she constantly received monthly bonuses, much to her greatest shock, and the rest of the employees, Mr. Hunter and gifted her a new car because she arrived to work late on the day her old car broke down.
Faith had been a fresh graduate from the University when Mr. Hunter hired her, she was grateful to him.
The office door suddenly opened and Sterling Hunter walked out. Faith was surprised by the sudden change in Carla's expression. The once angry woman now had a wide smile playing across her lips.
"Baby! You kept me waiting, your secretary wouldn't let me in!"
Faith almost snorted at the way Carla adjusted her dress, her breasts were nearly spilling out, her heels clicking as she seductively walked towards Sterling Hunter.
"I missed you so much!" Carla started to lean for a kiss but Sterling Hunter moved away at the last moment, his eyes locating where Faith was standing.
"Ms. Jameson, in my office, Now!. We have something to discuss."
Faith held her boss' gaze, she thought she saw annoyance and something she couldn't identify flash in his dark eyes, her lips tightened in worry, she thought she had done a good job in keeping his girlfriend away from the meeting, or was it that the meeting didn't go well?
"I think you mean me, not her! I came to surprise you, I thought we could have some fun." Carla giggled, clinging onto Sterling's arms, her lips curved in a pout.
Faith didn't realize the quiet sigh she heaved when her boss' piercing gaze was finally diverted away from her, she had worked for him for four years, but she still couldn't completely make eye contact with him. She always got a strange feeling in her stomach each time.
"What did I tell you about coming to my workplace? I was not able to complete my meeting because of your disturbances. The door is open, leave!"
Faith winced at Sterling Hunter's sharp words, at this moment, she even felt pity for Carla even though the woman had been rude to her earlier. She wondered if she should leave the couple alone, it all seemed too personal for her to be present.
"Why are you rude to me? You can't mean that! I'm your girlfriend! Why are you upset that I'm here? Don't tell me that the rumors are true?" Carla glared in Faith's direction, clinging onto Sterling Hunter's arms even more desperately.
"The rumors that you're fucking your little secretary! She even admitted that you arrested two people for her sake!"
Faith didn't expect to be suddenly involved in the conversation, her ears reddened at Carla's vulgar words, the woman was currently throwing her the dirtiest of glares. All the sympathy she felt for Carla instantly vanished away.
Sure her boss was strikingly handsome but she had never regarded him in a personal way, her relationship with Sterling had always been on a purely professional level!
They weren't even each other's type!
"Leave right now!"
Sterling's expression was dark and menacing, for a moment Faith felt scared for Carla even though she knew that Carla didn't deserve it.
"You aren't denying it? You owe me an explanation! You are my boyfriend!" Carla yelled when Sterling suddenly announced.
"Not anymore, the security will walk you out if you don't leave this building in the next three seconds!"
Color pumped into Carla's face, her eyes were wide with shock and concealed anger.
"Y__you don't mean that, you can't break up with me! Your mother said we are going to get married, are you really going to throw away all that I can offer you__" She barely got to finish her statement when two huge bodyguards appeared.
"Don't touch me! You will regret what you are doing to me one day! You will never get another woman like me!"
Carla was sobbing loudly and uncontrollably. Faith wondered how Mr. Hunter didn't even flinch, if anything he looked annoyed by Carla's constant tears.
Did relationships not mean anything to him? How could he not have the slightest feelings for these women? She thought.
"So are you going to leave on your own? Or should they take you away?" Sterling's expression remained unfeeling.
Carla stormed out of the premises, but not before casting a hateful look at Faith.
There goes another break-up, Faith thought, she felt as though she had just experienced a murder scene.
She noticed Sterling staring at her and swallowed hard.
The silence between them was unbearable and awkward.
"Ms. Jameson? Didn't I mention for you to be in my office!"
"Y_yes sir" Faith muttered, she suddenly remembered that she equally had important to tell him as well.

When I Disappeared, He Regretted It
The moment the screen lit up, my entire world came crashing down.
The woman on the bed was Calista - that girl who grew up with us since we were kids. And that hand caressing her skin was wearing the wedding ring I had personally put on Matteo's finger.
"I've missed you so much..."
"You drive me crazy, baby..."
Those sweet words I knew so well completely destroyed me.
Everyone said we were the perfect couple, but who knew this marriage was built on nothing but lies?
Since he's so good at acting, I guess it's time I gave him a show of my own. I'm going to make sure everyone sees what this "perfect husband" really is...
He Thought I'd Never Leave
When he said he was being bullied, I believed him. When he kissed me on that rooftop, I thought he felt the same. When he asked me to transfer schools with him, I said yes without hesitation.
Then I heard him bragging to his friends: "She'd save her first time for me. Hell, she'd still be thinking of me on her wedding night."
The bullying was staged. The kiss meant nothing. He just wanted me gone—so his new girl could feel more comfortable.
He thought I'd beg. He thought I'd cry. He thought I'd never actually leave.
I left the country.
And ran straight into his stepbrother.
I Died While They Threw Her a Party
Their real daughter came home. She'd only been back two years. That's all it took to erase twenty-four.
When kidnappers grabbed us, I used my body as a shield. They beat me until something inside me ruptured. I was dying from internal bleeding, but no one could tell.
My parents wouldn't even look at me. "This is your fault! None of this would've happened if it weren't for you!"
"Get downstairs and apologize to your sister. If you can't, pack your things and get out."
They threw her a party at a downtown hotel while I died alone in my room.
I thought they'd be relieved. Maybe even glad. I thought they'd just move on like I never existed.
But when they finally learned the truth, they fell apart.
Bury Me in His Regret
The kidnapper pressed the gun to my temple and asked, "Choose your wife or your sister-in-law?"
Zachary didn't hesitate. "Let Valerie go," he said.
He actually chose to save his sister-in-law! In that moment, even the baby in my belly seemed to stop kicking.
Later, they locked me in the basement. Drugs to delay labor were pumped into my veins over and over. Zachary wanted to save the "firstborn son" status for his sister-in-law's child.
When warm blood finally soaked through my skirt, I dialed the number I knew by heart with shaking hands.
"Zachary," I whispered into the phone, "our child... can't wait any longer."
The Kidney That Killed Me
A few months ago, my sister was hospitalized with kidney failure. The doctor said she needed a transplant. My family's first thought was me—the backup daughter they'd kept around all these years.
When my husband Allen took my hand with tears in his eyes and said, "Only you can save her," I agreed without hesitation.
When the doctor explained the surgical risks and potential complications, I smiled and nodded my understanding.
My parents said I'd finally learned what sisterly love meant.
Even Allen, who'd always been cold to me, held my hand gently and said, "The surgery's safe. You're so healthy, nothing will go wrong. When you recover, I'll take you to Hawaii."
But they don't know that no matter how the surgery goes, I won't be around to celebrate.
Because I just got my own test results—I have terminal brain cancer. I'm going to die anyway.
After the Affair: Falling into a Billionaire's Arms
From first crush to wedding vows, George Capulet and I had been inseparable. But in our seventh year of marriage, he began an affair with his secretary.
On my birthday, he took her on vacation. On our anniversary, he brought her to our home and made love to her in our bed...
Heartbroken, I tricked him into signing divorce papers.
George remained unconcerned, convinced I would never leave him.
His deceptions continued until the day the divorce was finalized. I threw the papers in his face: "George Capulet, from this moment on, get out of my life!"
Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."

Please tell me you're joking, Lex.
But she's not. I can feel her excitement bubbling under my skin, while all I feel is dread.
We turn the corner, and the scent hits me like a punch to the chest—cinnamon and something impossibly warm. My eyes scan the room until they land on him. Tall. Commanding. Beautiful.
And then, just as quickly… he sees me.
His expression twists.
"Fuck no."
He turns—and runs.

The Human Among Wolves
My stomach twisted, but he wasn’t finished.
"You're just a pathetic little human," Zayn said, his words deliberate, each one hitting like a slap. "Spreading your legs for the first guy who bothers to notice you."
Heat rushed to my face, burning with humiliation. My chest ached — not from his words alone, but from the sick realization that I had trusted him. That I had let myself believe he was different.
I was so, so stupid.

Accardi
“I thought you said you were done chasing me?” Gen mocked.
“I am done chasing you.”
Before she could formulate a witty remark, Matteo threw her down. She landed hard on her back atop his dining room table. She tried to sit up when she noticed what he was doing. His hands were working on his belt. It came free of his pants with a violent yank. She collapsed back on her elbows, her mouth gaping open at the display. His face was a mask of sheer determination, his eyes were a dark gold swimming with heat and desire. His hands wrapped around her thighs and pulled her to the edge of the table. He glided his fingers up her thighs and hooked several around the inside of her panties. His knuckles brushed her dripping sex.
“You’re soaking wet, Genevieve. Tell me, was it me that made you this way or him?” his voice told her to be careful with her answer. His knuckles slid down through her folds and she threw her head back as she moaned. “Weakness?”
