Introduction

"What am I to you? Your rejected mate who serves you as your sex toy? Masturbate if you must !” Ersa growled at Alpha Renard, grinding her teeth and cursing her helplessness.
A sharp slap on her cheek sent her flying to the ground.
"A sex toy? Yes! That's what you are to me. You exist to serve me. I will use your body until I get tired of you. You are not even allowed to die because your soul and your body belong to me. Now be a good whore and spread those legs for me." Alpha Renard hissed angrily, making her whimper in pain.

Ersa Laurent was a human female, born in the kingdom of shifters. All her siblings got their wolves by the age of thirteen. But Ersa was cursed by the Moon Goddess, and her wolf could not be awaken until the day her son was born.On the day of his alliance with the most powerful werewolf pack, the Divine Tree Pack, Ersa's father, Alpha Canis, sold his youngest daughter, to Alpha Renard. He was the most feared Alpha, known to be ruthless, born with the blood to rule the Hecate Kingdom.

How would Ersa fight her fate and break the curse the Moon Goddess cast on her? Would she choose to become the She-Alpha of her pack or Alpha Renard's chosen mate?

Chapter 1

  ALPHA RENARD'S POV:-

After hearing the most devastating news again from Beta Shane in the pack, I made my way to the bedroom as fast as I could.

"What is happening?" I asked out loudly once I stepped into my bedroom.

Camilla, my wife, was lying on the bed. The Alpha healer of my pack, healer Deniece, was wrapping everything up. She walked towards me with the same disappointed look on her face that I started to hate. "Forgive me, Alpha. But Luna has miscarried the baby yet again."

I was clenching my fists as tightly as possible. And was gritting my teeth out of anger.

Camilla was already asleep, it was useless to sit by her side and try to console her. That's why, I decided to walk with the healer. It was our eighth miscarriage. It started to feel like we were never going to have a baby. "What happened this time? You were positive this time with the results. You said for sure that this time, our baby will survive." I asked the healer as calmly as possible.

I was not accusing her of anything at all. I just wanted to know what went wrong again. This time, I didn't even let Camilla go to the bathroom alone. She always had maids inside the room to help her with the simplest of chores like picking up clothes for the day and even getting the glass of water from the bedside table.

For five fucking months, I didn't disturb her to make sure the baby would live this time. Yet again, I was devastated with that same news tore me apart. "I can't say for sure what actually went wrong, Alpha. The baby was healthy yesterday. I checked Luna before she went to bed last night. Everything was perfectly fine." The healer informed me in a low tone.

I couldn't do anything at all. I could only clench my fists and grit my teeth as always for losing my baby again. "I don't understand what is wrong with her. Why can't she bear my babies? Or is there something wrong with my sperm?" I asked the healer in a disappointed tone.

I stopped being aggressive out of anger a long time ago. There was no use. I only wasted my energy and the things that I bought for my home. The healer placed her hand on my hand and shook her head ever so slowly.

"Alpha, Your sperm is very healthy. After all the tests we ran last year, we know for sure that there is nothing wrong with your sperm." The healer informed me in a mere whisper. She was trying to keep it down but then again, walls couldn't stop rumours from spreading if the people living inside were actually werewolves.

I looked at her with a confused look on my face. "My father used to say, not every woman can be lucky enough to carry an Alpha's child. Maybe, this isn't just for Luna. After all, you married a woman who isn't your mate." The healer added in a low tone as she saw the visible confusion on my face.

As soon as I heard her, I narrowed my head and clenched my fists tightly. "Being with mates can only make you a coward and useless. I don't want to be a useless man. I want to protect my pack." I replied to the healer in a low tone. I didn't want to yell at her. She was only stating the truth. I was well aware of the fact that an Alpha's baby couldn't be conceived by any ordinary woman.

The healer narrowed her head and shook it disappointedly. She was hearing that same reason from me for the eighth time. "If that's the case, then we have no hope in the future as well. You shouldn’t try to have another child with the Luna ." The healer added in a low tone.

She was just stating the fact. But it was the only thing that hurt me more than the day I lost my whole family. "There must be a way. I became the Alpha when my father was murdered. But according to the pack's laws, I need a child to become the Alpha." I asked the healer in a low tone, trying to keep the flames of hope alive in my chest.

The healer thought about the question for a moment. "That is no way, Alpha." The healer added in a low tone and I narrowed my eyes.

I felt like burning the whole world down at that moment as the last flame of hope was about to be extinguished inside my chest. "Unless…" Healer added in a low tone and my eyes snapped towards her face.

I grabbed both of her arms, staring into her eyes. "Unless, what?" I asked almost instantly, trying to stay hopeful.

"Unless you can think a little out of the box. There is hope but unfortunately, not with Luna." The healer answered my question while staring at my face. As if her eyes were trying to tell me something. Unfortunately, I was the worst when it came to reading facial expressions or someone's eyes.

"I don't get it!  Just tell me clearly. What can I do to get a baby? I am open to any ideas." I asked the healer in a low tone. I was trying really hard to hide my excitement. I didn't want to disrespect the day my baby had died.

"In that case, you should get a breeder. An alpha's daughter is more likely the best option to become the breeder of the Alpha. Aside from your true mate, only an Alpha's daughter can carry an Alpha's baby." The healer informed me in a low tone and the disappointment took over my senses yet again.

  ------------------

I was inside my office. I couldn't work after that one bad news I had received first thing in the morning. But I couldn't stop thinking about the possibility that healer Deniece placed in front of me. "What is wrong, Alpha? You look awfully quiet today. Is it because of the miscarriage?" Gamma Charlie, the Gamma of my pack and my best friend, asked me in a concerned tone.

I sighed in exhaustion as I leaned backward on my chair. "That's not it. I was thinking about something the healer Deniece has told me. A possibility to have my babies but, it's actually impossible." I answered the question Gamma Charlie had asked me. The look on his face was enough for me to know that he was confused.

"Camilla can't have my children. I know it for sure after eight miscarriages. Healer Deniece gave me the idea to get a breeder. The only problem I am facing, only an Alpha's daughter can carry my child other than my true mate." I finally told my friend the reason why I was so uneasy all day.

"Hmmm… well, that's something. I can understand your frustration pretty clearly now." Gamma Charlie replied in a low tone, scratching his chin as if he was thinking about something.

I got curious to know what he was thinking about. I was about to open my mouth but his words left me speechless for a moment. "There is a way for you to have an alpha born breeder. If you are open to any ideas?" Gamma Charlie added in a low tone then he asked me a question.

Of course I was determined to have a child. To become the true alpha of my pack, but not just a substitution. "By any means, I want a child. I don't care if the breeder is nothing but a whore." I replied in a low tone, making my firm point.

"In that case, with your determination, I suggest you sign an alliance with Red Sun Pack." Gamma Charlie suggested and I growled angrily.

That pack was the reason why I lost my whole family. They betrayed my father. I couldn't trust them. "I know what you're thinking. But hear me out. He is the only desperate alpha who will be willing to give you his daughter as a breeder. In exchange, you can sign the alliance, that too on your terms." Gamma Charlie added further.

Hearing him, I couldn't help but think about the possibility that he just showed me. There was no doubt that I made the perfect choice to make him my Gamma. If Shane was not the son of the Beta family z Charlie would have been my Beta.

I quickly grabbed the phone and dialled the number for Alpha Canis' pack house. It was answered on the second bell, as if they were waiting for my response so impatiently. "Hello!" I heard from the other side.

"This is Alpha Renard of Divine Tree Pack. I would like to talk about the terms of the alliance contract, if you are free today, Alpha Canis." I asked in a low tone, knowing well that the person who picked up was none other than Alpha Canis.
