The Dragon King's Little Witch
summer · Ongoing · 32.6k Words
Introduction
I accidentally made a contract with the evil dragon king in the dungeon.
What I didn't know was that he could feel my emotions. Or even my physical pain? What on earth is going on here?
"Will you tell me or not?" The evil dragon king Riven leaned in closer to me and whispered in my ear, "What's the use of having a mouth if you can't speak? Can you kiss?"
With one hand on my face, he pulled his free hand and reached for my school uniform.
"N-no, please!" I protested to his sick smile. In one firm motion, he tore through my clothes.
"Please-please I'm so sorry," I said to him as his eyes examined my now-exposed breasts.
The handsome, snake-eyed evil man grabbed my wrist with one hand and placed his other hand over my mouth.
"Shh." He said to me. His face was inches from mine, his strange half-scaled chest pressed into my body. How could he be so comfortable in our nakedness?!
The Red Magic Academy was home to some of the most prestigious students in the dimension. We all lived in Middle Earth, which was an abundant world of magic. Faeries, werewolves, vampires, sirens, witches, monsters, every creature imaginable was here. As well as every evil monster, but we didn't have evil monsters at our school, I thought.
For the last year, I had developed an insatiable crush on the elitist magician leader Christain.
But Christain and I could never be together unless my power ability increased. I was such a weak witch and he was one of the most powerful magicians in the world. His fighting ability, noble identity, and powerful magic made him and me an impossible match.
"The Magician Prince will die in the claws of his ancestors' evil enemy. The evil dragon king Riven of purgatory will rise from its seal and break free, killing Christain Quinn on March 24th, year two thousand and twenty-three." I read out loud.
"WHAT?" I nearly screamed. This couldn't be right.
TODAY WAS MARCH TWENTY-FOUR TWO THOUSAND TWENTY-THREE. CHRISTAIN WAS GOING TO DIE?!

Chapter 1
CHAPTER ONE
Hazel’s POV
Today was a new day, I thought. I tore off my bedsheets and stood up for another day at the Red Magic Academy.
It was the first day of my sophomore year at the college. Last year was difficult, to say the least, but this year would be different. I had struggled to make friends last year, but this year I was very hopeful that I would make some.
I poured myself some tea and began to get ready for work. I worked in the school library most weekends.
I stood in the mirror and dressed myself in the school uniform. It was navy blue with long, grossly oppressive knee high socks, and a blazer. I brushed through my long jet black hair and added some mascara to my blue eyes.
I stared at myself in the mirror. Over the summer I was obsessed over my appearance, I grew my hair out longer, applied serum to make my eyelashes darker, and learned to do my makeup.
I decided to put on a bold, blood red lip. I had seen all of the popular witches wear it, and I decided that this year, I would do it too. I was a very weak witch compared to most of the others at the Academy, but with this makeup and new look, I was just as pretty as them.
“Wow Hazel, you look amazing!” My roommate said. My roommate Hannah was a popular witch. She was very powerful and my parents were friends with her parents, they had asked her to room with me out of pity. I didn’t mind though, Hannah was very nice to me and never made me feel bad about my weaker powers.
“Do you really think so?” I asked her.
“Um yeah? You’re unrecognizable, my friends asked me if I had switched my roommate.” She told me.
Did I really look that different? I wondered.
“My only advice, lose the glasses.” She said to me, grabbing her purse to head out for the day.
“My vision is horrible.” I said to her with a nervous laugh.
“So do a spell for it.” She said simply.
“You can do that?” I asked her. Hannah laughed.
“Of course I can, some of my friends do it. Here, I’ll do it for you today.” She said, taking off my glasses and performing a simple spell. I removed my glasses.
“Wow, my vision is better than before!” I said to her, Hannah smiled.
“This year people will notice you, just fake your confidence, they will accept you as a lower magic student if you are confident.” She said at the door.
“Thank you Hannah.” I said, blushing with the compliments. No one ever complimented me.
“See you later, bye!” She said, closing the dorm door behind her.
People at the Academy didn’t take me very seriously, and last year I had been subjected to a fair amount of bullying and name calling. But I always remained positive and optimistic, I had to. Hannah was friends with some of the students who weren’t so nice to me but she always defended me when she was around.
“This year will be different.” I reaffirmed myself in the mirror with a smile.
I walked through the campus from my dorms to my favorite place on earth, the Red Magic Academy’s library. The Academy itself was very beautiful, but the library was something else.
The library was untouched and beautiful. Gothic architecture and sixty foot arched windows decorated it in my favorite dark light. It was here that books lived, and the outside world with all its problems was fully shut out.
The Red Magic Academy was home to some of the most prestigious students in the dimension. We all lived in Middle Earth, which was an abundant world of magic. Faeries, werewolves, vampires, monsters, every creature imaginable was here. As well as every evil monster, but we didn’t have evil monsters at our school.
The prestigious magic students hardly spent any time in the library, and especially not on a Saturday. No, the popular students’ were out in the world doing more important things, like performing spells, hunting, socializing, all fun and important things far away from these boring old books. Only the Academy's loners were here on a Saturday.
I, however, loved the boring old books. My magic powers were never really my strong suit, as I could only perform simple healing magic, but my brains and love for reading were infinite. I had read nearly every book I could get my hands on, history, philosophy, magic, you name it.
I began working at the library last semester because I had spent so much time in it. I spent more time in the library than out in the real world. The other librarians loved me and offered me a job, and the occasional social advice.
“Hazel.” My boss, the chief librarian, said to me, She warmly smiled at me and called me over to her desk.
“Yes, Miss Pomfrey.” I said back to her. Miss Pomfrey had employed me, she was a wonderful older woman with an even bigger love for reading than me.
Miss Pomfrey began explaining to me the reorganization structure of the second floor's back section. I tried to listen to her but a new group of students entering the library distracted me.
They were loud and obnoxious, so of course the popular kids. In a school of Magic and freakish monsters you would think there wouldn’t be a typical college hierarchy, but there was. In fact, maybe even worse than the typical human world.
The popular kids were all ridiculously beautiful, powerfull, and social. They were considered the upper magic students, meaning they were, by the schools ranking, better than the lower magic students.
There were about a hundred of them total in a school of five hundred students. They were sirens, faeries, vampires, werewolves, and witches. Only a small handful stood in the library now. The sophomores, the ones in my grade. They had all found each other freshman year and now ruled the school. They always traveled together and threw the best parties, or so I heard.
Normally I wouldn’t care about this group, but for the last year I had developed an insatiable crush on the elitist packs leader.
Christain Quinn.
The Magician Prince.
Christain was the most popular boy at the university, and it was easy to see why. His eyes were bright blue, hair bright blonde, and he was very tall and handsome. I had watched him from afar all last year because, of course, he was incredibly smart and talented as well as charming.
“Hazel?” Miss Pomfrey repeated, I hadn’t realized that I had physically turned my head away from her. I was nearly drooling over the Magician Prince! I had completely forgotten about what she was saying.
“Yes, sorry, can you repeat that?” I asked her, Miss Pomfrey smirked at me and flicked her eyes towards the young Magician Princeg.
“He’s quite handsome, right?” She asked me, my cheeks flared.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about. I don’t know him.” I said to her in embarrassment.
“That blonde hair, Quinn. Oh look, he’s coming over.” She said casually.
“Miss Pomfrey! Don’t joke like that!” I scolded her, panicked and was mortified enough.
“Hello?” A warm voice said from behind me.

He Never Loved Me, Until I Left
I put away the divorce agreement with a wry smile.
When he and my son completely disappeared, he finally panicked.
Three months later .
He knelt down on the streets of Chicago in despair, begging me to remarry him.
My six-year-old son looked coldly at his biological father and said, "Get lost, you bad uncle! You don't deserve to be my dad!"
When I Disappeared, He Regretted It
The moment the screen lit up, my entire world came crashing down.
The woman on the bed was Calista - that girl who grew up with us since we were kids. And that hand caressing her skin was wearing the wedding ring I had personally put on Matteo's finger.
"I've missed you so much..."
"You drive me crazy, baby..."
Those sweet words I knew so well completely destroyed me.
Everyone said we were the perfect couple, but who knew this marriage was built on nothing but lies?
Since he's so good at acting, I guess it's time I gave him a show of my own. I'm going to make sure everyone sees what this "perfect husband" really is...
I Loved You in Silence, You Betrayed Me in French
At my birthday party, my husband whispered to his mistress in French that he missed her. His voice was low, but I heard it all—the black lingerie, the bit about how pregnancy makes you more sensitive. His French clients around us were laughing. He turned and put his arm around me, claiming he was just helping his clients come up with sweet nothings.
He doesn't know I understand every single word. Just like he doesn't know that inside my body, I'm carrying his other surprise. And his mistress—she's pregnant too. Two wombs, one secret.
Confrontation would be too cheap. Tears are worthless. I quietly started cataloging the hidden networks my father left behind, activating the Swiss accounts.
In seven days, Zoey Smith will cease to exist. And what will my husband's reaction be?
Falling for my boyfriend's Navy brother
"What is wrong with me?
Why does being near him make my skin feel too tight, like I’m wearing a sweater two sizes too small?
It’s just newness, I tell myself firmly.
He’s my boyfirend’s brother.
This is Tyler’s family.
I’m not going to let one cold stare undo that.

As a ballet dancer, My life looks perfect—scholarship, starring role, sweet boyfriend Tyler. Until Tyler shows his true colors and his older brother, Asher, comes home.

When My ankle injury forces her to recover at the family lake house, I‘m stuck with both brothers. What starts as mutual hatred slowly turns into something forbidden.
I'm falling for my boyfriend's brother.
**
I hate girls like her.
Entitled.
Delicate.
And still—
Still.
The image of her standing in the doorway, clutching her cardigan tighter around her narrow shoulders, trying to smile through the awkwardness, won’t leave me.
Neither does the memory of Tyler. Leaving her here without a second thought.
I shouldn’t care.
I don’t care.
It’s not my problem if Tyler’s an idiot.
It’s not my business if some spoiled little princess has to walk home in the dark.
I’m not here to rescue anyone.
Especially not her.
Especially not someone like her.
She’s not my problem.
And I’ll make damn sure she never becomes one.
But when my eyes fell on her lips, I wanted her to be mine.
Alpha Nicholas's Little Mate
What? No—wait… oh Moon Goddess, no.
Please tell me you're joking, Lex.
But she's not. I can feel her excitement bubbling under my skin, while all I feel is dread.
We turn the corner, and the scent hits me like a punch to the chest—cinnamon and something impossibly warm. My eyes scan the room until they land on him. Tall. Commanding. Beautiful.
And then, just as quickly… he sees me.
His expression twists.
"Fuck no."
He turns—and runs.
My mate sees me and runs.

The Human Among Wolves
My stomach twisted, but he wasn’t finished.
"You're just a pathetic little human," Zayn said, his words deliberate, each one hitting like a slap. "Spreading your legs for the first guy who bothers to notice you."
Heat rushed to my face, burning with humiliation. My chest ached — not from his words alone, but from the sick realization that I had trusted him. That I had let myself believe he was different.
I was so, so stupid.

“I thought you said you were done chasing me?” Gen mocked.
“I am done chasing you.”
Before she could formulate a witty remark, Matteo threw her down. She landed hard on her back atop his dining room table. She tried to sit up when she noticed what he was doing. His hands were working on his belt. It came free of his pants with a violent yank. She collapsed back on her elbows, her mouth gaping open at the display. His face was a mask of sheer determination, his eyes were a dark gold swimming with heat and desire. His hands wrapped around her thighs and pulled her to the edge of the table. He glided his fingers up her thighs and hooked several around the inside of her panties. His knuckles brushed her dripping sex.
“You’re soaking wet, Genevieve. Tell me, was it me that made you this way or him?” his voice told her to be careful with her answer. His knuckles slid down through her folds and she threw her head back as she moaned. “Weakness?”
“You…” she breathed.

On my birthday, he took her on vacation. On our anniversary, he brought her to our home and made love to her in our bed...
Heartbroken, I tricked him into signing divorce papers.
George remained unconcerned, convinced I would never leave him.
His deceptions continued until the day the divorce was finalized. I threw the papers in his face: "George Capulet, from this moment on, get out of my life!"
Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."
