Chapter 1
CHAPTER ONE
Anna’s POV
“Those imbeciles, how dare them to summon me on a busy day like this. I will make them pay for such disturbance.” I growled within myself as I sat in the back seat of my car and let my driver take me to the wolf dome.
“Her royal Majesty Queen Anna has arrived." My presence was announced as I stepped into the council room.
“Your Majesty". The council of elders chorused.
“And what is it that you want from me this time ". I said with a nasty temper. “I warned you to let your reason not be a trivial one," I commanded in a vicious way that made them shudder in fear.
“Your Majesty. It's about your birthday this Saturday." One of the councils managed to speak.
“Oh is that so. What is it about?". I calmly speak taking my seat.
‘I would have annihilated them if it was something stupid '. I smirked as I watched them battle amongst themselves on who to speak.
“Your Majesty, this coming Saturday the blood moon will appear. And it's the same day as your birthday ". One of them said and I smiled.
“Is that so."
“Yes, and the people are beginning to question your mateless bond. They are having doubts that you are not..."
“How long have I ruled this kingdom?". I cut him off emitting the dark aura that resided in me.
“Thirteen years, your majesty ". He quivered in fear.
“Thirteen years and have anyone complained about my inability to rule?" I asked harshly.
“No, my Queen " he answered.
“Good, now let's move on to my birthday preparation," I stated smiling with my eyes close.
’It has been thirteen years since I started to rule yet I have remained mateless. On Every blood moon, I questioned the moon goddess why I haven't been bonded but I got no reply. so I gave up on the mate bond.'
Although I have wished to be touched and be lavished in the embrace of my lover, I have come to accept the faith that I'm bound not to have a mate.
For that reason, I had band relationships in my pack mansion and anyone who went against my rule would be hung on a full moon.
“I will leave you all to my birthday preparation. Don't disappoint me on that day." I ordered leaving the wolf dome as I had come.
“Take me to the mansion". I told the driver to cancel every meeting I was to have for that day.
The toil of not having a mate bothered me my grandmother had six mates each who birthed her the generation she had now.
But I was different. On my fifteenth birthday, I had expected to find my mate through the mating bond the moon goddess granted us.
But I had failed. My mother blamed it on my narcissism. And stopped referring to me as her daughter until I was made Queen in her stead.
My mother had passed away in a gruesome fight between the vampires. And my father fell into depression and took his life leaving me in the cruel hands of leadership.
At a young age, I had started training for wars instead of doing pretty things young girls my age did. As time went by, I was isolated and my friends left me insisting I was beyond their level.
My grandmother trained me to be Queen until I was eighteen. At that same age, I was assigned seven advisors who helped me with the kingdom's matters.
“Daniel". I called him as I threw myself on him. He chuckled warming my heart. ‘He smells so good' I sniffed him. Regardless of me being mateless I still felt an inward sexual instinct towards men.
“Have finished for the day?". He asked and held me up properly.
Daniel was my first advisor. He was four years older than me and I loved everything about him. I was very close to him and I had proposed multiple times for him to marry me. But I got rejected every time I did.
“Daniel, when will decide to marry me?". I teased and he calmly patted my head looking at me.
“When you get older ". He said and I flamed up.
“What!!!!, Do I look like a kid to you?". I try to kick but got pulled away from him.
“Now, calm down my Queen. It's not healthy for you to get angry over a block. I can marry you if you want." Alex my fourth advisor carried me away. Teasing me like he usually does.
“Let go of me you flirt". I kick his groin causing him pain. Alex was a big flirt, he was good at teasing me and that got on my nerves.
“Oh dear, we are birds of the same flirt. You tease Daniel and I tease you". Alex said laughing even after I caused him pain.
“It's feather not flirt, you idiot ". I grumpily said matching out of their sight.
Blinded by rage, I hit my head on a wall. A wall that always annoyed me. “Are you blind?". I angrily questioned my third advisor, Rydel.
“You should be the one I should be asking that, witch". Rydel was the only one that called me a witch. I had punished him at the beginning but got tired when he continued.
Rydel was a very ravenous person. He did reckless things and never feared dying from them. He always talked back at me even when I had the power to kill him for that. But that's what makes him even more fun.
“Get out of my way you imbecile." I pushed him out of my way climbing up the stairs.
As I climbed further up, a cheerful light shone on my face stopping me on my way. Sullivan always made my heart flutter this way.
‘He is so handsome. How could someone shine like the morning sun and be so beautiful like the flakes of snow '. I thought as my second advisor caught me in his charm.
“Welcome home my Queen. How was your day at the office? Would you like me to take you to your room?." His voice was so gentle and soft drawing me into his enchantment.
“Yes, please". I put my hand on his letting him take me to my room.
Sullivan was a beta in one of the packs under my rule. He was like a knight in shining armor and a light in a dark path. He was so beautiful, gentle, and kind.
But he was kind to fault. I snapped out of his enchantment and growled at him. “Don't you ever use your powers on me, you brute!" I yelled at him and he laughed.
These men although my subordinates, made up my home. And there was nothing that would ever break me apart from them, not even their mates.

The Contract Wife: Marriage Of Malice
He didn't finish. He didn't need to.
I didn't tell him to stop.
Instead, my fingers curled into his shirt, clutching the fabric as though it was my only anchor. Something in him snapped—something he had been holding back for too long. His mouth found mine in a kiss that wasn't tender, but hungry, desperate.
I gasped into him, his hand sliding up to cup my jaw, holding me as if afraid I might vanish.
"You drive me insane," he breathed against my mouth, his lips trailing to my throat. "I can't lose you, Ella. Not you."
My head fell back, a soft sound escaping me as his fingers memorized my waist. My anger melted beneath his desperation.
"James..." I whispered, more plea than protest.
His hand caught mine, fingers threading together tightly. "I'll bring him back. I swear it. Just... don't turn away from me. Please."
The word please—low, ragged, almost broken—undid me more than anything else could have.
