Chapter 1
"Haaaa, this is the life," a young man said, sitting on a bench in the middle of a park. He was relaxing after a long run, feeling the calmness of the area like a silent lake. The breeze flowed into his lungs as he exhaled heavily. He was in a large green field with a bench at the center, surrounded by some houses.
But suddenly, his relaxation was disturbed.
Lifting up his head, he got a glimpse of a black dot in the sky. As time passed, it became bigger in seconds, increasing in size rapidly.
Out of reflex, he put all his strength in his legs and ran with all his might. But when he was about 10 meters from his initial position, the object collided with the ground, causing dust to spread. The result of the collision created a large crater, sending a huge shockwave that swept everything in its path.
The shockwave swept the young man, sending him flying and hitting a tree. He fell on the ground, cuts could be seen all over his body. The shockwave was strong enough to cut through his skin, and he was bleeding continuously. With the little energy he had, he pushed himself up, staggering a bit. He eventually raised his upper body to look at what had just dropped down from the sky.
"What was that? It almost killed me," he said with a trembling voice. He could see that what had landed was a missile-like chamber. It was colored silver and covered with sequences of red-colored stripe lights all over its body. It glowed brightly and produced a kind of heat in the air.
All of a sudden, a ding sound was heard, and the red-colored lights turned into green. Then, a door appeared out of nowhere. It slid open slowly, bringing out a thick white mist.
However, the young man was shocked by what came out. One couldn't even imagine such a thing in their nightmares. A large leg that was covered with scales like a reptile came out. The skin was green, and it slowly emerged. When the full body finally could be seen, it shocked him even more. He saw a large green scaly humanoid creature that one could only see in horror movies. And he was sure this was real.
The creature was about 7 feet in height, standing tall like a giant. It had a large scaly tail behind it, moving around like an unsettled snake. Its back had black long sharp spikes that ran down from the back of its neck all the way to the end of its tail. The tail was swinging vigorously in excitement. It smiled, revealing sharp pointy teeth that made the young man's body tremble. The creature started walking towards the man slowly, with heavy steps that caused little cracks to appear beneath its feet.
The young man was so scared that his eyes became watery. When the creature was about a meter away from him, it raised its head up with spread arms and puffed up its chest.
"Roooaaarrrrrrrr!" The creature roared on the top of its lungs. The ground rumbled by the almighty roar. It was like a declaration of its presence. The roar was so intense that it shook the earth, shattering glasses from the nearby houses' windows in the surroundings. The creature then continued walking forward until it eventually stood in front of the young man. The man trembled like crazy, almost shitting his pants.
The creature then stretched its hand and grabbed the man by the neck, lifting him up in the air. The young man struggled to break free from its clutches, but the grip was so strong that it cut his air supply, strangling him. It did next to nothing.
"Kat kar kach ka," the creature said in a deep voice with a language the man didn't understand. The man was utterly confused by what the monster said.
'I'm dead. Why did I even come out here today?' The young man thought, regretting his decision to start his first workout. He had wanted to be fit, but never had the chance to because of his job. However, now that he had managed to find time, this happened.
"HELP! HELP! PLEASE, SOMEONE HELP ME!" he screamed, hoping that someone would hear him and save him from this nightmare.
But no one came. No one could hear him over the roar of the creature. No one could see him through the dust and the mist. He was alone, facing this horror.
The creature looked at him with curiosity and amusement. It seemed to enjoy his fear and pain. It brought him closer to its face, sniffing him and licking him with its long tongue. The young man felt disgusted and terrified by the touch of the creature. He felt its saliva dripping on his face and neck. He felt its breath burning his skin.
He closed his eyes, wishing that this would end soon. He prayed that this was just a bad dream, and that he would wake up in his bed, safe and sound.
But it was not a dream. It was real. And it was not over yet.
The creature opened its mouth wide, revealing its rows of sharp teeth. It bit down on the young man's head, crushing his skull and brain. It tore off his flesh and bones, swallowing him whole. It savored his taste, feeling satisfied and happy.
It had found its first prey on this planet. And it was hungry for more.

On my birthday, he took her on vacation. On our anniversary, he brought her to our home and made love to her in our bed...
Heartbroken, I tricked him into signing divorce papers.
George remained unconcerned, convinced I would never leave him.
His deceptions continued until the day the divorce was finalized. I threw the papers in his face: "George Capulet, from this moment on, get out of my life!"
Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."

The Pack: Rule Number 1 - No Mates
"Let me go," I whimper, my body trembling with need. "I don't want you touching me."
I fall forward onto the bed then turn around to stare at him. The dark tattoos of Domonic's chiseled shoulders, quiver and and expand with the heave of his chest. His deep dimpled smile is full of arrogance as he reaches behind himself to lock the door.
Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."

A Lesson in Magic
Rise of the Banished She-Wolf
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.
I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
The Forbidden Throb
Mine changed in the time it took to open a door.
Behind it: my fiancé Nicholas with another woman.
Three months until our wedding. Three seconds to watch it all burn.
I should have run. Should have screamed. Should have done anything except stand there like a fool.
Instead, I heard the devil himself whisper in my ear:
"If you're willing, I could marry you."
Daniel. The brother I was warned about. The one who made Nicholas look like a choir boy.
He leaned against the wall, watching my world implode.
My pulse thundered. "What?"
"You heard me." His eyes burned into mine. "Marry me, Emma."
But as I stared into those magnetic eyes, I realized something terrifying:
I wanted to say yes to him.
Game on.
