Introduction

Aurora was rejected by Ryker, her mate, due to their impure bloodline; she couldn't bear the pain and shame so she decided to flee from her pack and start a new life.

Years later Ryker discovers that Aurora has kept a secret from him a secret of their twin werewolf babies born with rare abilities.

This got Ryker upset, hunting for Aurora seeking retribution to claim his child.

How will this possibly happen? Is it by love or by hurt? Can Ryker prove his love and protect his family or will Aurora hurt and mistrust tear them apart forever?.

Chapter 1

“I Ryker hereby reject you as my mate and also denounce you as a member of the Nightshade pack”. His voice dripped with annoyance and I saw a flash of anger in his eyes.

“Please Ryker don't do this to me I've nowhere to go no family to relate with you're my only hope”.

I knelt beside him clutching his trouser and begging for mercy but he angrily kicked me with his leg. I was humiliated, rejected and embarrassed in front of everyone.

They all witnessed my distress, some even laughed at me. Tears streamed down my face. I felt like the world was about to end.

“Tempered justice with Mercy, please Ryker".

Luna Ryker's sister intervened on my behalf pleading with him to reveal the reason for my punishment. She asked Ryker several questions seeking clarification on the situation.

“What has she done and why is she treated this way?"..

“She has done more than a worst; her impure bloodline doesn't tally with our lineage and it's never acceptable in our pack. I'm the Alpha to the Nightshade pack and we won't choose a mate that's not our kind”.

As he spoke the crowd responded with a resounding chorus of agreement.

“Yes, we refuse to accept an alien as our queen!”.

I felt severe pain like a dagger to my heart and my tears flowed uncontrollably.

Luna's expression softened with pity as she looked at me and she came to offer a comforting embrace.

“Aurora, don't worry you will be fine I wish I can help but my brother is really stubborn take this Jewelry you can sell it to sort yourself out”.

“Thanks so much I will never forget your kindness, you're a woman with a good heart".

As I bid her farewell I wrapped my arms around her tears streaming down my face I waved goodbye unsure of where my journey will take me and set off into the unknown I was ready to face the storm ahead of me.

After departing from the park I embarked on a long journey searching for a place to call home weary and worn out I still walked along for miles my thirst and hunger growing with each step in desperate need of a food I stumbled upon a cozy coffee shop and decided to take a break.

As I rested two suspicious men approached me, their eyes fixed greedingly on the precious Jewelry clutched in my hand.

“Nice Jewelry you got". He attempted to touch me but I firmly stopped him in his tracks blocking his movement.

“You don't just touch what isn't yours, you seek for permission".

"Permission!” He chuckled, making a caricature of me.

"I don't seek permission from strangers, especially from females".

"Then leave me with it if you're not ready to buy”.

“Oh Really! Is this for sale? You never told me you want to sell it”. His eyes gazed in shock as he anticipated an answer.

"Now you know, well the price tag is $500 there is no room for bargaining".

"Let's make it an auction price of $20!”

"I said there's no room for bargaining”. I exclaimed, slamming my fists on the table in frustration as he became frightened, his eyes wild with terror and feebly attempting to apologize, his voice ringing hollow.

“In that case I'm sorry Miss, well let's do it another way round".

He snatched the bag containing my precious Jewelry and made a swift escape leaving me stunned and helpless though I was angry but couldn't chase after him my exhausted body and worried spirit still reminded me from the trauma I had faced.

I was rooted in a place thinking on what to do next as a lady approached me.

“Excuse me madam, your bag had just been stolen should I call the cop?" She politely asked.

“Don't worry about that I will be fine".

"You look worried if you don't mind I'm Elena”.

She extended her hand in a gesture of friendship and I grudgingly reciprocated. I was dizzy and fatigued. I felt my energy warning. I quickly excused her, leaving her standing alone in the space we had shared.

While wandering around I saw a lady being harassed by the same men who stole my Jewelry. At first I ignored it but the molestation caught my attention and in grief I approached the scenes.

“You again what do you have this time do you want to showcase another Jewelry?"

His words echoed in my ears creating amusement while others chorused in laughter.

“Silence!". I interjected “I'm not here for a joke nor for a game. If you love yourself, leave her alone and give back what belongs to her".

"We aren't here for a joke either”.

With a menacing glint in his eyes he brought out a knife, the blade glinting in the light as he prepared to strike. I quickly dodge the attack with ease and unleash my wolfish fury upon him.

My claws extended I tore into his flesh making him crumble to the ground while the others witnessing the sudden turn of events fled in terror, their footsteps echoing through the air as they desperately south to escape the wrath of my wolfish form.

“Thank you ma" she said in fear.

“I'm Aurora" .

“Nice name you got a great skill, how do I express my gratitude".

She curiously asked but her words didn't trigger my interest. I bid a farewell and decided to leave but her words caught my attention.

“Please wait, can you come to my house? I have some meal for you, you can as well stay with me if you wish".

I was heartened by her kind words feeling a sense of relief as I realized I have finally found a place to call home where I could rest.

I eagerly followed her home, my weary body craving the warmth and comfort she offered.

One thing is certain even though my pain has led me to trauma I will never allow them to weigh me down.

"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"

George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"

"I'm afraid that's impossible."

Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."
